I got my H815 G4 today (International Taiwan version) and put my Cricket SIM in. I was able to call, but not use data. When I checked the APN settings, they were completely blank. Below are the settings I was given by Cricket support:
Settings > Wireless Networks (More) > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > New APN
Name: Internet
APN: ndo
Proxy: Not Set
Port: Not Set
Username: Not Set
Password: Not Set
Server: Not Set
MMSC: http://mmsc.aiowireless.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.aiowireless.net
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 150
Authentication type: Not Set
APN type: default,mms,fota,hipri,supl
However, after a reboot, I'm not getting LTE. I have data now, but it's some H icon with up and down arrows. Anyone know what that is or how to fix it? Speeds are 2 down and 1 up. That's terrible. Should be like 9 down and a few up.
You need to go into settings -> More -> Mobile Networks -> network mode and choose GSM/WCDMA/LTE for LTE to work.
Mine was set to GSM/WCDMA out of the box

Also cricket piggy backs off ATT Network which uses LTE Band 2 and LG G4 H815T doesnt support

Thanks guys! That was it. Funny thing is, I actually had it set to that earlier but set it back to how I got the phone when I was troubleshooting the APN creation and forgot to put it back. Got 4 down and 4 up which is more what I'm used to seeing at my house (faster in the city but I live in the country).
Knew I could count on ya'll lol.

That would make it false advertisement by tropical_mobile, because they explicitly list b2(lte1900) in their description of the product. And having all AT&T bands present, minus 30, was a major prerequisite for my decision to buy from them.
If I don't get 4G speeds when my phone arrives, provided I correctly copy the AT&T settings from my current GS3, I guess I'd have to put their return policy to the test.
Is there a way to see which bands the phone is using?
ETA. LTE Discovery says that I'm on band 17. So, I should be good to go.
But that false advertising still stinks.

Makster, did you receive your G4 from Tropical Mobile? I was thinking of buying the same thing from them, but their communication hasn't been clear. Is it the Taiwan variant? And if so, does the Taiwan variant not have the b2(lte1900)? I know the H815T (Hong Kong variant) does not, but I wasn't sure about the Taiwan version. I mainly just want to have all the AT&T bands before I buy the international phone...
It's supposed to be delivered by 10:30 this morning. If I am not at work by then, I'll try to at least take a picture of the label on the box, if nothing else.
BTW, all of the tracking info, as well as seller's profile, says Singapore. I'm not sure if that indicates anything, though. The other guys, never-msrp, are from Taiwan.

The Taiwan LG site says that it supports band 2, and all the other bands that Tropical mobile says it does, so I would assume that would be the case.

I just wanted to make sure as the other seller "Never MSRP" lists band 2 as well, but when I contacted them they confirmed they are selling the H815T and it doesn't pick up band 2 (even though they have written that it does in their product description). Also, do you know if you can tether on cricket with these international versions without having to root the phone? I know on the Cricket phone I currently have tethering doesn't work due to a "network error"....

Just got the phone. I won't be able to post the photo I took until later in the day, so I can edit out the s/n, etc.
But the box says H815, NOT H815T, and the phone itself, on the battery compartment, says H815.
The box also lists all the bands the non-T phone is supposed to have, including Band 2.
Interestingly enough, there is "TWN" written in an empty space I the same label (far away from the model number).
Also, in case it matters, the default language offered was English (Singapore).
I turned it on to be sure it boots up, but other than that I'm going to exercise my will power and wait until the evening.

O.k. great, so I guess the Taiwan model is good to go as far as having the same bands as the UK model. Doesn't have the unlocked bootloader, but that is o.k. with me. When you get a chance to play around with it tonight, let me know if you can tether easily on it! I am going to buy it from the same source...thanks!
So, here's the box label. H815, no T suffix, B2 is there.

Hi All,
I seem to be having trouble getting AT&T LTE working with my LG G4 H815. I already tried the seperate LTE enabling setting, but no luck. The best I have been able to get is HSPA+.
Thanks for the help!
I had this issue when trying to first set the H815 up with them. First problem is that the imei is not in their system since it is a foreign phone...they must add it manually. you need to call them and tell them you have a new phone and give them the imei
second is the apn the automatically is set by the sim is not the best. the right apn for the phone is:
Name = ATT Phone
APN = phone
Proxy = Not set
Port = Not set
Username = Not set
Password = Not set
Server = Not set
MMSC = http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS proxy = proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port = 80
MCC = 310
MNC = 410
Authentication Type = None
APN type = default,mms,supl,hipri,fota,dun
APN protocol = IPv4
Bearer = Unspecified
if this does not get to LTE then make sure your phone is set for LTE. see pics. if that does not work we may have to go into the hidden menu
Hmm, the only thing I had to do on my H815 was to set the LTE Auto. The phone provisioned itself for AT&T (correctly), and I did not have to call AT&T about it.
It just worked.
Maybe it's a different flavor of H815? Mine is the Asian version (non-T) from ebay.

Can you run a speed test if you are on ATT with an 815 (or an 815 on Tmobile if you have it)? There is a general thread where people are complaining that 815s run super slow LTE on the ATT network, while ATT models are fast.
I just had my IMEI added manually, confirmed the proper APN from their tech support, and set GSM/WCDMA/LTE to auto.
No luck, I am still connecting to HSPA or HSPAP.

well this is is because the people with fast speeds on AT&T live in an area which has carrier aggregation or LTE-A turned on. this would give much faster speeds.
The H815 is capable of LTE-A out of the box but need to set the right setting in the hidden menu. Though it may never work right on the H815 but thats the price we pay for an unlocked phone.

Well do you know the band's that you usually get in your area? Mine switches between band 2 and 17

Factory Reset and went through all your settings again, word for word.
Still not working out and now I am at home instead of work. I am getting 6.95Mbps down and 1.27Mbps up, HSPA in About -> Network.
Additionally, for your bands question, one forum says for my area, AT&T run on 2, 4, and 17.
Thanks again for all the help so far.

The country code is on the box. I am seeing some complaints about h815 speeds on AT&T lately. Due to the extremely vast amount of h815 variants, it might help weed something out if it's just a few models being incompatible for unknown reasons if that's the case... I am not a tech expert, but just suggesting... I would also try exchanging your phone like someone else suggested -- you might have bad hardware?

Hi I used this rom Z90a40_USR_S118_1505272046_Q2020131.4_ROW_qpst
which was mentioned here on the forum as the best for Android 5.1
Hey man, I've done some research and it seems your ROM/phone should support LGT(4G). I would highly suggest completely wiping your phone, reflash ROM/ Gasps/ kernel (if you have one) and see if the issue persists

The seller says I can send the item back for a full refund but unsure if he will give me a refund as I've changed the ROM to 5.1 The worst thing would be sending the device back to China
Okay, have you tried manually setting your APN? Fallow the steps below and findnthe APN settings online for your carrier, let me know what happens.
Many users have told me their 3G/4G LTE data network connection is broke after installing a custom ROM. *Well, in most of these cases, it can easily be fixed by manually setting the APN (Access Point Name). *This applies to any GSM networks such as*AT&T or T-Mobile. *For CDMA networks like Sprint or Verizon, they also use APNs but you don’t have to set them and should work out of the box.
Every carrier uses its own APN Settings to get its 3G/4G LTE network working on an Android smartphone or tablet device. *Now, these APN settings are usually “downloaded” automatically to your*phone*when you insert a SIM card. *BUT, there are times where the APN are not selected automatically OR when the APN settings are not downloaded.
In those instances, your 3G/4G LTE data will not work but that can easily be fixed.
Step 1. First, browse your Settings menu and find the “Access Point Names” menu. *This is usually under “Mobile Network Settings” or “More*mobile Networks or “Mobile Networks” under Settings menu depending on the Android device used.
Step 2. Once you are in the APN Settings menu, first thing you should check it that the APN is on the correct one. *If the correct APN is not checked (sometimes this happens), simply check ON the correct APN for your carrier. *That will make your 3G/4G LTE data working right away
tep 3. There are also times where the wrong APN is listed or there’s simply no APNs listed. *In these rare cases, you can simply add a new APN, hit the “+” button.
Step 4. For APN setting, the “Name” can be anything. *“APN” setting is the most important, usually you only have to fill this out for your phone to work.
For T-Mobile, you can set the “APN” to “fast.t-mobile.com”. *AT&T, you can set “APN” to “phone” or “pta”.
Now setting “APN” will get your data working but you still need to input additional settings to get your MMS working.
ep 5. You can usually Google APN settings for your carrier. *Whether you are in Thailand or in the U.S., simply Google for your APN settings like:
Google “t-mobile APN 4G LTE” for T-Mobile 4G LTE APN settings in the U.S.
Google “True Move APN 3g” for True Move 4G APN settings in Thailand.
Eventually, you should be able to find the full APN settings for your carrier whether you live in Hawaii or on North Pole.
Once you have the correct APN settings, simply input them into your APN settings on the phone
Step 7. Next, make sure to select the new APN Setting you have saved. *Within 5-30 seconds, your phone should start picking up 3G or 4G LTE signals and your data should be working again on the phone.

I have just bought this phone and flashed it with the latest firmware Android 5.1 as per the post on this forum. I am now very worried because my phone only seems to be working on 3G. When I go into settings and network it only gives me the options to pick a 3G network. I did a lot of research before buying this phone and was assured it would work on 4G within the UK my old phone the Sony Xperia ZR worked on 4G fine. I do have the latest nano sim.
Here are the details of the Lenovo Z90-7 As per GSM Arena
Technology
GSM / HSPA / LTE
2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2
3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G bands LTE 800 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 - Lenovo Z90-7
And from my network operator's webpage I get the following info
4G from Tesco Mobile (o2) uses the following network frequencies:
800 MHz (0.8 GHz)
Am I having this problem as I flashed it with new firmware?

I believe the phone doesn`t have the LTE 800 frequency.
Search other websites than gsm arena.
That`s why you don`t get 4G.
Hi Friends,
Thanks for the quick replies I really appreciate the help. In regards to the APN settings I've checked these and these seem to be correct.
So it *Should* work EE
Interesting, I was hoping the APN settings were the cause. I'm sorry you couldn't fix your issue. I'm sure you will have better luck with your next device.

Valter84 you are correct I spoke to the seller and he advised that there is a mistake on the listing the phone does not support the LTE 800Mhz frequency.
So it *Should* work in the UK on the network EE which uses Band 3 FDD LTE (1800mhz). I've tried an EE sim and it still does not work at all on 4G.

This seems to be a worldwide problem outside China. It is nothing to do with APN settings, etc.

Dear people, wake up, many Chinese markets are deceiving customers by providing them misleading information. LTE bands is one clear example. Chinese LTE bands are diferent and they just flash the device's ROM for multi-language and add Google Play to make it "international version" but it is not. DON'T BUY IT!
I double checked with this company minideal.net which i cannot recommend. The company confirmed full FDD LTE (4G) functionality on following frequency bands: 800/1800/2100/2600MHz. But my smartphone IS NOT WORKING on 800MHz in The Czech Republic because it is only 1800/2100/2600MHz in fact. Within the PayPal Dispute and Claim they completely turned around their statements concerning LTE bands.
Complete tests were made with my network operator provider to rull out other problems. You can easily check that in these comments and in some fair e-shops where they don't twist the truth.

This is correct, the phone doesn't work on 800MHz. However it should because Qualcom 615 supports 800MHz. the reason it doesn't work is because the modem is probably locked within the ROM. I am hoping once this phone is release european version then it should work at 800MHz.

Hi, i already have had the European version of Lenovo Vibe Shot (chinese name Lenovo Z90-7) in my hands. I purchased it recently to compare the Czech and the Chinese model concurrently. All worked perfectly well with the Czech model. The device connected to 800MHz LTE band (band 20) INSTANTLY after the Android system start. No setting necessary at all. It connected to 800MHz T-mobile band in the Czech Republic. While with the Chinese only 3G or less! Another LTE band (2100MHz perhaps) worked well - Vodafone Czech Republic. So LTE hardware is ok but 800MHz missing...
The test is here: youtube.com/watch?v=Mv5RoN_BYSc
No doubt i was intentionally deceived by the seller namely minideal.net; and many others customers are being deceived the same way!

This is amazing. I hope soon someone will release the european ROM, so I can update my chinese phone with european ROM. Do you think the Chinese phone will work on 800MHz with the European ROM?

Well, i consulted this with some mobile phone services earlier and they did not recommend updating the ROM like that. Your device can end up dead after it. The ROM must be perfectly tuned to the particular HW specification of your device to avoid the fatal consequences. It is quite risky... i was thinking the same way. I am disputing the seller via PayPal asking for partial refund to be able to re-sell the phone to someone who can do without 800MHz.
Also you cannot freely update the android system without loosing the multi-language and Google Play... So shopping mobile phones in China? NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR ME!

Ok, i understand your point. I was thinking the same way. Some mobile phone services would refuse to update the ROM like that though, because it can kill the mobile completely. And who will take the responsibility? The Chinese dishonest dealers should! Let us tell them, we don't like their deception and lies! They are playing the "we don't know" game, but they surely know enough about the differences between Chinese and non-Chinese LTE bands.
But yes, there should be a way to change the ROM the same way the distributors of the real European version of this phone do it. Only where shall we get that ROM and ROM update done? Because, as i have already experienced, the local (Czech) Lenovo representation has no interest in helping owners of Lenovo products purchased in China. How predicable...

Because I hate the idea of having a neutered AT&T Note 5, I bought an international variant (N920i). It appears the LTE bands are all compatible between the two. I will let everyone know how it turns out. If you already have experience with this, let me know.
EDIT: Yes, N920i works without any modification on AT&T
When does it arrive?
Thats very interesting.

Here goes. N920i 64GB

LTE showing up on the signal bar is a Domestic device visual. International versions Show E (edge) 3G, H+ (Faux G) and 4G for LTE.
If you are still unconvinced, my service mode presently shows I am on LTE Band 4. Download speeds at 40mbps this evening. No carrier aggregation unfortunately, but I also didn't have it on my Nexus 6 or the GS6.
I purchased the phone from a seller in Hong Kong via Ebay.
Awesome! Enjoy!
Yep, just like the International S6 G920I that supported AT&T LTE

~$900 USD. OEM Unlock is an available option in Developer Options.
I thought I'd give this thread a small bump as I'm about to pull the trigger on an international N920I as well.
My question stems from simply being new to importing phones and having to pay attention to bands. I have bene following this thread closely, and it seems as though the N920I performs well on the AT&T network, but is it the same as if I had bought one from AT&T? I ask only because it was just mentioned that this phone does not have Carrier Aggregation.
I'm not certain what carrier aggregation is (I looked it up on google but couldn't find much to answer my question). Does this mean that it will perform more slowly on US networks?
Also a final question, if anyone is willing to answer it. What is the region-locking situation on this phone? I have read mixed reports about people being stuck with phones that they cannot use because it was not activated with a compatible SIM, and some people that say they have had no problem. I don't want to drop $900 on this device and not be able to use it.

My data speeds and reception have been the same as my nexus 6 and girlfriend's GS6 (purchased from AT&T.) Carrier aggregation allows for next generation LTE, but I have yet to own a phone, AT&T branded or otherwise, that supports it in my area. It might just be that there is no support for it in my city, but I'll be in Chicago In a few weeks and will try to investigate it there.
I can't speak to the region locking. All I know is my phone was completely sealed and worked 100% right out of the box with only putting in an AT&T SIM card.

Thank you for the quick reply. I think I'll put in an order right now.
Samsung Pay
I'm glad to hear that the N920I works on AT&T on the LTE band. I considered getting the International version. However, there is something else that I am concerned about...and that is Samsung Pay that will be coming late September. I believe carriers have to allow (or configure) Samsung Pay to work. For example, Verizon may not be supporting it, at least that's what's traveling around the net. Also when I had the International Galaxy S3 on AT&T, Google Wallet didn't work, it only worked on AT&T versions at that time. Unfortunately, we won't know until Samsung Pay is available, but I wonder if it will work on the N920I?
Awesome news. can you please tell me if VOLTE works on AT&T or if you even had the option for HD calling? Settings should be found under data options.
Thanks in advance.
For those wondering, if you use an N920I on AT&T, there are a few things you should know.
1. Since this is an international model, the signal indicators are different than what we're used to seeing in the US. The SM-N920I shows the following indicators for mobile data:
E - This means you have a 2G/EDGE connection
3G - This means you have a UMTS connection with no HSPA
H+ - This means you have an HSPA+/Faux 4G connection
4G - This means you have an LTE connection
2. Phone calls will not work over LTE (VoLTE), and, by extension, HD Voice doesn't work either. The VoLTE and HD Voice components are proprietary software that is only built into the AT&T-specific ROM on the SM-N920A.
3. The phone DOES support carrier aggregation (otherwise known as LTE-Advanced), but not on AT&T's bands. Considering that the SM-N920I is intended for retail in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, the baseband firmware is tweaked to do carrier aggregation on band pairs that are common among carriers in that part of the world.
So, what does this all mean? If you want a phone that has support for all the bleeding-edge technologies on AT&T's network (VoLTE, HD Voice, LTE-A), then you have no other choice but to buy an AT&T-branded SM-N920A. However, if you want faster updates, no carrier bloat, no carrier branding, an unlockable bootloader, and don't mind sacrificing the whiz-bang stuff on the network side of things, then an SM-N920I will work just fine. Put your SIM card in, you'll get LTE data on all of AT&T's available bands, and you'll be able to make and receive calls over the HSPA+ network. You're just not going to have all the latest carrier-marketed bells and whistles that you'd get if you bought a proper AT&T-branded SM-N920A.
At this point, I *should* rant about how stupid it is that Samsung refuses to sell SIM-free, unlocked versions of their phones via US retail channels. That's what forces us to go through these 3rd party importers to get the international models that aren't really tweaked for the US carriers. Alas, I'm not going to go down that road, though. It's a tempest in a teapot.

Translation: On the 920i/c, the signal indicators follow the international standard of "4G" being "LTE", and not the AT&T/TMO marketing fiction of "4G" being what everyone else calls "3.5G".
As for the rest of your points, I have to wonder how well deployed VoLTE is on AT&T (and I don't think AT&T has even started LTE-A yet, have they?)
I live in a somewhat rural area, and I'm just thrilled I have LTE.. which beats the "no signal" I get with other carriers. I don't know that I've ever experienced VoLTE. (Then again, I can't remember the last time I actually had a voice conversation with my phone.)

Oh, but why not?! We really need some more activity in the AT&T Note5 section.
I'm trying to figure out why VoLTE (Voice over LTE) doesn't appear to be working on the Nexus 5X on my carrier (Rogers Wireless in Canada). When I make a call, it drops down to HSPA+. While this still works for voice and data at the same time, it's less than ideal. I know Rogers supports VoLTE since the end of March of this year.
From the hidden *#*#4636#*#* menu, the option "TURN OFF VOLTE PROVISIONED FLAG" appears, but unlike the other options cannot be toggled. Additionally, the "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" toggle does not appear under Wireless & Networks → More... → Cellular networks. I've attached screenshots of both screens.
Is this something that we will have to wait for a future update to enable? Currently on build MDB08I.

also curious to know about this... Do we know what band is used for VoLTE? I believe T-Mobile uses band 12 - (700MHz? or is 700 band 17?). Rogers rolled out that band a while ago (before VoLTE) presumably as a precursor for it.. maybe the secret lies here?
I cant test at the moment but I will when I get home.. Unless a zip can be made.
edit: 700mhz bands 12(700a),13(700c),17(700b) and 29(700d and 700e).

Band 12 is 700MHz (sometimes refereed to as 700 a, 699–716 UL 729–746 DL), this is used by T-Mobile. Rogers also has a 700MHz band, but it's Band 17 (sometimes referred to as 700 b c, 704–716 UL 734–746 DL). As I understand it, VoLTE is a prerequisite for enabling Band 12 on T-Mobile (along with E911 certification), but VoLTE should work for every LTE band (including Band 4, which is the dominant band used by Rogers/Telus/Bell).

From what I've researched, it supports VoLTE on the iPhone 6S/6S+, along with:

If you go to the device specifications on Rogers' website, nothing is written about VoLTE on any of the phones including the G4. However, on the blurb about the G4 when you search Android devices, it lists "Rogers VoLTE" as one of the features. Nothing on the GS6/edge/+/Note5 indicates they are compatible with VoLTE. LG Vigor is no longer offered.

Right, since Rogers doesn't use it, it shouldn't matter to us.
I'm still not sure why the option doesn't exist (even grayed out) under "Cellular network settings" and why "TURN OFF VOLTE PROVISIONED FLAG" cannot be toggled. The option that exists for the Nexus 6 after the update to enable VoLTE was pushed (5.1) under "Cellular network settings" says "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" as pictured in the attached screenshot.
It would be helpful if people who were on other networks besides Rogers (especially US providers) if they could post a screenshot of their "Cellular network settings" and tell us if "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" is available. If people on other carriers have the option, then perhaps it is an issue of the device not recognizing that VoLTE is offered by Rogers?

According to other posts, the "TURN OFF VOLTE PROVISIONED FLAG" doesn't toggle but a reboot (or several) enables the Advanced 4G option to be enabled. I think both Verizon and T-Mo users have this option, just greyed out.
I don't get it either... we are all on the same firmware, I personally came from a G4 so VoLTE is active on my account but I think its a case of Rogers not allowing our "non supported" devices to use VoLTE. I'm calling tech support to see if they can help out..
edit: no luck.. they still have my device listed as a G4 and say everything is good on their end.
no amounts of reboots will help rogers.. but thank you..

Thanks for the update. I'm still curious to find out if anyone has the "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" option in their settings, and whether it's a matter of the carrier settings or not being enabled in the ROM. The fact that Verizon people are getting HD calls indicates it has to do with our carrier. I'm trying to get in touch with Rogers and see if they could possibly enable it, they're selling the 6P in their stores so maybe there's hope for our lovely device.

Edit: just saw that Canadian carriers will be getting the 5X "soon". The word is end of October. Also noticed on rogers' page that there is no mention of VoLTE being a "feature" of the 6P. Here's to staying positive that it and the upcoming Rogers 5X will carry this "feature".. :fingers-crossed:

Last news that came out said they would start fulfilling preorders November 4th. It was delayed a couple times so it could be delayed again.
So the device is available now on rogers, but it is not included in the list when searching by VoLTE. Moto Nexus 6 is tho...
Weird thing is my account was set up with the G4, so VoLTE was set up on my account and according to rogers it still is but I am not able to get it to work with my 5x.

Yeah, even with 6.0.1 it still drops to 3G for calls, I'm not exactly stock so it could be an issue with how I flashed it but I doubt that is the case. It is still the case that "TURN OFF VOLTE PROVISIONED FLAG" cannot be toggled in the hidden dialer menu. Also there is still nothing under "Cellular network settings" that says "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" like on the Nexus 6.
Since Rogers is only offering the 6P, I don't know if we'll ever see VoLTE for the 5X... but if they patch it in for the software for the 6P, they could theoretically add it in for the 5X too. So maybe there's still hope for a future update that will enable this. 6P still is not listed as a VoLTE device on the Rogers website, but now they are allowing you to search for devices that support VoLTE, which shows you all the usual suspects. So perhaps this feature is getting more prominent for Rogers.
Bell and Telus are offering the 5X directly, but neither carrier has launched VoLTE.
I have the same questions/issues with AT&T as well. My 5X will not expose the "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode" either. I have all the IMS based features turned on in the dialer menu. Of course you will need a SIM that is attached to a VoLTE account on the back end systems, and I have several of them. You have to be provisoned in the HSS and TAS as IMS capable. If I look at a registration event from the 5X it says its voice service is "CS Only" while my other VoLTE phones attach as both "LTE Voice" and "CS Voice".
I highly suspect the 5X is coded to not allow IMS/VoLTE for other than T-Mob and VZ, but why I don't know.
Any idea why the G5 I have that was unlocked by Sprint OTA will not work with my AT&T SIM? The phone shows the "Bad SIM" icon and refuses to work. I checked the ##DATA# settings, and LTE + LTE roaming are on? Any ideas? Thanks!
I'm no expert, but I believe the Sprint network and phone antennas are 180 degrees different from AT&T.
- Sprint uses CDMA; AT&T uses GSM/UMTS/HSPA+
- Sprint 3G uses bands 10 and 1; AT&T uses bands 2 and 5
- Sprint 4G uses bands 25, 26, and 41; AT&T uses 2, 4, 12, and 17.
Unlocked or not, a Sprint phone antenna is not designed to connect to the same networks as an AT&T phone.
I know there many more knowledgeable than I here, so I welcome corrections.
Change band priority

And Select GSM on network preference

GSM/ WCDMA / LTE Auto
@adop_19 Don't get the field test menu when typing the above code. Get "HiddenMENU' with the following;

Any ideas? This is puzzling as Sprint swears the device has been unlocked OTA? There are others on this forum using the same device on Cricket, and thus I believe it should work on AT&T? I am at a loss? Thanks.

Yours may have only gotten internationally unlocked. Sprint has 2 unlocks. They sneakily volunteer information and assume you mean international unlock only. You have to specify domestic unlock to get it to work in the US if you unlock through Sprint's OTA. It does have the bands to support GSM in the US. Even the G4 does. I unlocked one and have it running on T-Mobile. Talk and text only since it didn't give me the APN menu then, but that's ok, it stays near wifi. If you can't get back in touch with Sprint, there are other ways to get it done without them. You'd have to PM me for that part.
Just Reread The Title. It sounds Like they didnt really domestically unlock it.

Yes, it only gets Talk, text and 3G and you can only get it working by swapping your SIM. Verizon won't do it if you ask them

There is a free guide to try in dev section
Piggy backing this thread. I've had my LG G5 domestically unlocked by Sprint. I've put in both a ATT and T-mboile sim and added the correct APNs. Calls work so it is definitely unlocked but I can't for the life of me get data to turn on. Not even 3g. Any ideas? Sprint service is deactivated so that shouldn't interfere with the LTE and data. Bands 2,3 ,4, 5, 7 and 12 are enabled according to ##DATA# LTE is enabled. LTE roaming is enabled as well in there.
In network mode I have Automatic, LTE/CDMA, CDMA and GSM/UTMS only. Currently set to automatic. I also tried gsm/utms but nothing.
In LTE discovery I noticed it found LTE band 12 for a second but just connected to UTMS with no data. Everything shows as not roaming (maybe that is the issue?! since these non sprint lte bands are considered roaming bands or something). Reception is good in the area. I usually hit 20mbps+ down in this location with the same sim using band 4.
Help please!
I have a Sprint LG G5 (LS992) and before the ZVC update, I was able to get LTE coverage in my house all the time... Now, after the update disabling my hiddenmenu app trick, I was forced to pay for remote sim unlock for the phone, and everything went great, I have full functionality, and pretty good speeds, using AT&T service now, but I don't get LTE anymore when i'm home... I haven't tried it anywhere else, that is my next move... Just wondering if there was something I missed... I set up the AT&T APN correctly from the ATT website apn settings, have gone through all the hidden menu settings, RAT Selection gsm/wcdma/lte auto, I dunno what I'm missing, other than it just wont work on LTE anymore.
