UNOFFICIAL YU YUREKA AMA Thread.

Cyanogen shared a few details about Micromax’ YU YUREKA. The device, which launched late last year, will receive its first Cyanogen nightlies from mid to end-February.
Updates 1:
The latest tweet by Yureka on their official tweet handle confirms that YU Yureka will get the lollipop update pretty soon. They have posted an image on twitter with a ‘coming soon’ text and when you join the dots you will get a lollipop,It may be 26 march(just a guess from the picture) but it will be sooner than that because of there older tweet about cm12 update.
Updates 2:
Cyanogen on Thursday, 12 March, confirmed that the much-awaited Android Lollipop based CM12 series ROM would be soon released to three smartphones – YU Yureka, OnePlus One and Alcatel Hero 2+.
Cyanogen has also announced the new update will be released to YU Yureka in India in a few weeks time. As part of the pilot programme to test any undetected bugs in the new OS, it will soon invite Yureka device owners for soak test. Once ascertained that there are no glitches, CM12 Lollipop OS will be rolled-out this month to public.
The CM also added that they have just received the source code of latest Android 5.1 Lollipop and would look into changes done in the new update and release it as part of a future OTA update later in the year.

YU would roll out the Android Lollipop update for Yureka by the end of this month. The Lollipop software for the Yureka is already in the beta stage and a few volunteers, selected through the Yu Forums, are running it on their phones.

YU delayed Android Lollipop update for Yureka smartphone. YU planned to rollout Lollipop update for Yureka on March 26th, but the update is not yet ready for prime time so YU has given explanation on the Lollipop update status by posting a picture on its page.

As we all are waiting for CM12s build just few days ago news came that CM12s update is in certification and will be released.This could take more than a week as they also said that they dont know anything about the time of completion of certification and release.

Steve Kondik, the founder of Cyanogen,confirmed that the work on Lollipop update for Yureka has finished so we will see the official rollout once YU approved it for final release and stated that the update might roll out in the next four days.

OnePlus Carl Pei Confirms CM12S For The OnePlus One Has Passed Certification And Arriving in “Next Few Days”
This means that YUreka update will also be certified in a few days as the update for both OPO and YU went together for it.

Regarding the update, Rahul Sharma on official forum, said:

Every set of errors took us back a few steps costing us few more days for the rollout. Now in the final stage, we cannot wait ourselves to ship it fast.

1: Download update.
2: Copy the downloaded file onto the device memory.
3 : Flashing the OTA using Stock Cyanogen recovery.
4. Turn off your device.
5. Reboot into stock recovery(To go into recovery: Press Volume up + Volume down + Power button, three buttons at the same time).
6. Select Apply Update.
7. Select the file cm-12.0-YNG1TAS0W0-tomato-signed.zip.
8. Once installation is over, go to main page and ‘wipe cache partition‘.Then select Reboot system now.

YU has become a little(most would say highly) overconfident about its phones. This can be seen by looking at new Yureka phones coming without CMOS.

they dont let me post any outside link here but there is an unofficial cm12 for YU.

Yeah,we will soon get 5.1 update, as it is made official by google for android one,But CM will take time to release it.

26 is not a confirmed date for update.

I got an update to mwd49b this evening. All I could find was some info for the Moto 360. Anyone know of any change logs? Looks like maybe just a security update.

lol am rooted so if it follows the same as it does on ANY OTHER android device it would fail.... AM not undoing all your hardwork on you rom and kernel justs for this...
My statement was that if he is rooted I VERY much DOUBT it would have updated so he is most likely on stock recovery and rom plus unrooted..

I've received the update tonight.
Since last 6.0.1 update, I've problems with battery duration(difficulties to end full day) and GPS accuracy (buggy and lot of signal losts...). factory reset, wipe cache, etc... doesn't fix the problems.
With this new update, battery seems to last more time, 10% drain in 4 hours with screen always on, wifi on, etc..
Tonight I'll check If GPS problems where fixed, but sounds very good

I have just updated my SWR50 via Xperia Companion.
- I can confirm that the Reboot option is back.
- Camera bridge application is working again, so if I launch the Xperia Camera on the phone I can take photos with the button on the watch. (it was broken in the first MM release)
- Incoming phone call notification still has a delay but it seems faster than the previous release, however it is not as fast as it was in the last Lollipop. (the contact details of the caller appears after a few rings)

Gps problem fixed: great accuracy on 35 min run
Battery problem fixed: 10% battery use every 4 hours with always on screen.
Reboot option back to menu.
1 May 2016 security patch included.

Well I get we need a dev to repack this so we can flash it over Alex6600's rom or on a rooted watch etc so we can all play

How can I install the OTA manually?

I got the update early yesterday here in Poland. When I got up in the morning the watch already had the notification about the update.
After applying it, the watch feels a little bit smoother and the battery is definitely better. I don't know anything about GPS, I've never used it, it's disabled. Reboot option is back, as was already told.

Are you kidding me. 1.15.401.4 just got released to European demo units. And even 1.15.401.3 already had the 2018/03/01 patch level. Never post something that weird. Personal guess is that 1.15.401.4 ships with 2018/04/01 or 2018/05/01 security patch level.

Indeed my unit is on very old version.. My preproduction sample is very old with some differences compare to official versions. For example another color, another nonphysical buttons etc. It has no update since very long time ago. So people shouldn't worry about security patch.

Well I'm currently using a WWE S-ON device, running 1.15.401.4, but there are some details to name:
- Edge Sense 2.0 and the buttons have been optimized under the hood for sure
- battery performance should be greatly improved, even though there seems to be some further optimizations that might be delivered with a follow up update.
- with respect to the camera the autozoom feature has been fully included, and low light camera performance is said to be better
- June 1st security patch has been included
... and a little bit more.

One question I have: can these be used as OTA updates? And if so, how? Is there any difference between the OTA update and the software on the mirrors.lolinet site? Are they the exact same softwares? Any idea?

Yes, they are the same firmware, and you can install them by fastboot

Awesome! Can you also install them as "offline OTA" updates?

by chance you know a tentative date for the update of android 10 in chile ?

I bought this phone in saudi arabia and im using it in Egypt at first i recieved some security updates and android 10 but the last security update i recieved was December's i contacted them but they said that i won't recieve more updates cause of my location can anyone tell me how to manually donwload them???

General Fold4 - MAY update

Samsung's 8th Android 13 update has started to roll out for the Fold4 international devices, F936B. bringing with it the May Security patch.
Build number = F936BXXS2CWD9
Build date = 25 April 2023
Android Security patch = 01 May 2023
Download size = 351.36 MB
Camera version = 13.1.00.32
It is a FOTA, (Firmware Over The Air), update and you can check... Settings > Software update... to see if it is available for you. Alternatively, you can connect to the Samsung PC suite, Smart Switch and check via that.

As the Build number indicates, it is just a May Security update. No bugfixes, improvements or change to the camera.

As per the screenshot in post #1 of the April update, here, the Fold4, F936B, firmware for your CSC code EUX, (Europe), was released 10th April for everyone. For some reason you did not get the update.

But my build number says CWD9 and the kernal (also CWD9) is from apr 25?
Sorry, I am very confused…

Only the Baseband version remains the same CWCC ( from april ) the rest is CWD9 ( from may )
I also did notice that , and confused me ...
You did update to the latest !

I was going by the Build number you quoted in your earlier post, above, which you state is CWCC.
Your subsequent screenshot does indeed show that you are now on Build number CWD9 for May which was released earlier today.

Not yet its the most annoying bug for me it makes the car radio sound like crap when using power amp and bluetooth

A week later it is the turn of the carrier branded devices to receive the May update.
U.K. carrier devices on the following CSC codes are now rolling out...
BTE = BT (UK)
BTB = BT OnePhone (UK)
EVR = EE (UK)

Since the update, my device gets hot and runs battery down. Not all of the time but a handful of times throughout the day. Have to shut it down for a bit then back on. Have done this several times since the update.

After updating did you wipe cache, repair apps and use Galaxy App Booster?

I do the wiping of the cache after every update, but will do again....and going to do the app booster....thx
