[Q] G2 LS980 corrupted carrier file HELP - Sprint LG G2

Hi everyone, first time posting on xda.
I have an ls980 sprint phone i am trying to unlock for t mobile, and i downloaded the necessary files here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2655133
265513 after rooting and making sure to have stock rom. I followed instructions and extracted the files into the carrier folder but now i get an error that pops up continuously. "Unfortunately com.android.phone has stopped". This error pops up every two seconds no matter what i am doing on the phone. I also get errors and cant open my messaging app. When i remove the sd card the problem goes away, but of course i want to be able to use the phone. Ive tried factory reset, booting from recovery image using twrp and deleting caches on phone/sim apps but nothing has worked. Please help, ive been trying to fix many errors for two days now.
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Help!!! Stuck In LG Setup Wizard

I just rooted my LG Optimus G Pro from at&t and installed the bootloader. I used the hard reset in the settings menu and after the reboot the LG Setup ran: but it gets to the end and every time I click done it comes up with the error: "Unfortunately LG Setup Wizard has stopped." and returns me to the second to last page of the setup. I have combed these forums for the last two days and nothing works, when I use the flash loader it says the dll file is the wrong one, the bootloader says sd-ext and .android/sd-secure could not be found. I cleared the cashe and the davlik cashe in the bootloader and still nothing works. Using adb it says it doesn't see my device. When I tried flashing the zip containing the tot file directly using an external sd card it says the file is bad. As I said I've been working on this for two days, and nothing has worked, can anyone help me? The device is my only phone and i'm very new to rooting (I rooted my LG l75c about 4 months ago before I got my current phone). I'm running the stock os and would just like to get it back to stock, at this point I don't care if the fix unroots as long as it works and updates like stock\new

I fixed it thanks to madmack"s thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302660
Thank you madmack, the files you posted worked great and now my phone is back to stock: exactly as I was trying to do.

Help!! Xperia M (soft?) bricked trying to install CM12.1, can't get back to stock

Tearing my hair out now, I am a bit of a novice at this, but done a few phones before, it is such a minefield!!! I have googled lots and tried to fix it by following various instructions, but just can't. Can some experts please help me? Thanks!!!
I have an Xperia M, which was behaving very oddly, showing as nearly full with hardly any apps. So decided to put CM12.1 on it to see if that sorted it.
Followed official CM instructions (https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_nicki) to install. Followed the process for official Sony bootload unlock, which said it had worked. Got into Cyanogen Recovery, but get odd messages when trying to do the "wipe/factory reset" step. (Odd messages like described here: http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/112974-wipe-data-does-not-work/).
Tried flashing CM12.1 from SD card in Cyanogen Recovery anyway, but it didn't work. Came up with more errors along the lines of "can't mount /data".
Thought I would try to revert to stock (as described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697277).
Have installed flashtool (including the drivers), downloaded an .ftf file, but when I try to follow these instructions, I point the firmware selector window at the folder I put that in and it just doesn't see it.
At the end of my tether now, anyone got any suggestions as to how I can either get CM12.1 to work (would be great!) or at least get flashed back to stock?
Thanks a lot in advance, really need some help now, have spent hours trying to do this with the help of Google!!!
I have tried flashing CWM (which worked) and using that to wipe/factory reset, and get the same errors. There seems to be something fundamentally borked that is giving me this error:
"failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system"
And I can never mount/format the "/data", which is related?
BUT!!!!! I think I have solved it...
...downloaded Archidroid (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m/development/rom-archidroid-v2-5-0-power-hands-t2806978), flashed the boot image for that in fastboot, that gave me TWRP, and that seemed to have extra options which successfully did a factory reset - had to do an extra "format data" which did the trick. Did the Archidroid ROM flash (what a fantastic user friendly installer!!) and it all seems to have worked - no error messages!!!
Phone restarting now, looks promising.
I hope this has worked, not really sure what I did wrong, or why Cyanogen Recovery and CWM could not fix it and TWRP could?!?!?
What fun!
Good to hear, but please post in Q&A, Help, and Troubleshooting subforum next time for these kinds of posts.
Please help!!!! I'm a noob to Sony smartphones and I did something stupid to my newly acquired C1905 sgl sim Xperia M. I tried to unlock boatloader impatiently using that app (apk) can't remember name. Anyways I've used it before on another Samsung phone and ended up in bootloops but I'm clued up on reviving Sammy's! ! And I tried it on the c1905 restarted and nothing. No LEDs no vibrations.. Nothing! ! I was impatient because I didn't have my laptop with me and seems PCs are the only way to do this on Sony's. Last night I messed and messed and the only progress after loads of forums and windows downloads I've managed to change the device (in device manager) from QHS_DOWNLOAD to the drivers recognising the device as a Sony... Will have to check again on laptop. Still no responses whatsoever from phone at all. Please help
Edit - as per device manager windows is saying "Sony Ericsson sa0101" with ADB interface driver and its working properly.
I did install loads of different driver packages. Some failed some didn't. Thanks

Tried to root, now system UI has stopped

I have a T-mobile LG G4 and I'm in the US. I did my research, watched videos, and read several threads about rooting... I thought I had it down. I followed the instructions in This thread exactly, to the best of my knowledge. Unfortunately, after my phone rebooted following step 10 (running the root script), it keeps saying "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped working" over and over.
I'm downloading the kdz files to return my phone to stock (hopefully--since I screwed up somehow, following the root instructions). But has anyone had this happen? Know what's causing it? Or how I can fix it besides a factory reset?
UPDATE: Ok, so I got freaked out reading about how returning to an earlier version of stock could brick your phone, so I decided to bite the bullet and do a hard factory reset. When I did, it asked if I wanted to restore from an earlier backup. I thought, "hey, no way it backed up after I just tried to root it, this backup ought to be safe!" and gave it a whirl. Well, when it finished restoring, root checker says I've successfully rooted! What the hell?! So, um... yay?
I have this exact same problem.
I have a tmobile variant and I had root previous(don't remember method I used). I installed the marshmallow rom, and thought it was too sluggish so I restored my device. But then my phone was wack...so I had to do a complete restore using flash tool. After that my phone worked fine, but I had no root. I attempted to use this new program with adb cmd. It worked but now my phone is sluggish the ui crashes, the camera doesn't work, and back buttons. I restored again... then rooted again.... same thing....so I restored AGAIN. I hope anyone can help.
Buuuuump
Bump Bump Bump... sadly this is the only known root I know of soooo #NoRoot4Meh :/
happen to me too..
just go to setting (use the notification shortcut), search for Home in apps (all apps) and then clear data and cache.
helped me to solved this problem, you will need to re-align your icons and apps on the launcher.

Stock rom for htc e9+

To whom may help me solve the issues I am facing,
My phone is stuck on the 'Setup wizard has stopped working' and I am not able to flash the original stock rom. Looking up the Setup wizard problem, I came across many posts but none helped. I suspect that the system files of my phone are corrupt. I can't exactly explain why, but it happened. I was trying to uninstall an app (apex launcher) which I had converted to system app. In the end, I had to do a factory reset through recovery.
On booting, I was shown the previously mentioned message and I can't go past it. I can't slide down the notifications nor click any of the soft keys. I tried every solutions posted by other users. This makes me suspect that the system files has become corrupt, and thus the Settings app cannot be opened.
I am new to flashing. I tried to flash the stock rom (RUU - 2gb zip) I found for my a55ml DTUL Europe J15, but it doesn't work. Maybe I need the recovery.img file for it to work? I need some guidance on this one. Can someone send me this recovery.img file?
My phone is rooted (kingroot), bootloader locked, S-ON. And, I can't detect it on ADB. Note: the phone is NOT on bootloop, and boots properly until the 'Setup wizard has stopped working'. I left the phone for flashing at a repair shop, but they tell me they are still trying.
And so, I seek help from anyone who can help me or point me towards someone else who can.

Help! My phone is unrooted but acts as rooted

So I have recently tried to root my Samsung A50 (A505FN/DS), but it was unsuccessful because
my smartphone trapped in an endless rebooting loopholes. So I tried to find a way to escape from
that situation. I find out that I need to install a new firmware to my phone and it did help (At first
I mistakenly installed a firmware created for A505FM but after that I installed the correct
firmware for A505FN/DS, but in the smartphone “software information” it’s still showing that
my smartphone model is A505FM). After making my smartphone to work correct I tried to use
Samsung apps, such as the secure folder. But I was getting an error message which was saying
the following - "Couldn't create secure folder something went wrong if the problem persists
contact customer service". Also when I tried to directly sign in to my Samsung account I was
getting an error saying the following - "This device is rooted, for security reasons Samsung
features are disabled (or something like that)". So after that I immediately downloaded root
checker app and checked my phone. The app said that my phone is not rooted. After that I have
tried to find ways to solve that but everything was unsuccessful.
Can anyone help me?
Try flashing firmware again. You can also try to format data by going to wipe --> format data --> yes. If that doesn't work, then try flashing a custom kernel.
