Hi guys
just upgraded to Lollipop but unfortunately it is not possible to manually select network type by apps like "Advanced Signal Status" anymore due to the fact that Sumsong locked this feature in lollipop,so does anyone have a solution for this issue ?

Hi everybody, I couldn't find the answer to my dilemma via search, but if someone knows an appropriate thread, please help point me in that direction.
I have a Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 (SM-T310) Wifi model. I'm still using the Samsung Android OS (not rooted or flashed). Several weeks ago, I upgraded the Android OS from the shipping version (4.2) to 4.4.2 after the upgrade became available. I did the update wirelessly.
However, I'm noticing that I can no longer find the option to "Restrict Background Data" that used to be in Settings -> Data Usage. It is also not in the Settings -> Data Usage -> Menu options; the only choices I have when pressing the menu button are Auto Sync Data and Mobile Hotspots.
Does anyone know where this setting is in Android 4.4.2 or how to re-enable it?
Much thanks!
Friend of mine has a P6 and I upgraded their software to B512.
I noticed that some apps don't seem to connect with wifi but do with 3g (including the play store).
There's a "Networked Apps" setting and everything in there is ticked. I've tried adjusting the settings for the few apps but doesn't seem to change anything.
Also i've tried to reset the apps (date/cache etc) but that didn't help. Just seems like the Networked Apps settings
Any ideas on how to fix this?

I supposed you've checked the APN ..
The upgrade is from KK or from JB ? .. maybe try to wipe the phone
or go to B513

Yeh I checked the APN, that's all fine. I know it's the Network issue where you can select which apps use Wi-Fi or 3g as some apps work on both, some work on 3g only and some on wifi only (even though everything is ticked).
Do you know what the app is known as so I could disable it in all apps?
The upgrade is from JB to 500 and then too 512. I might try B513 see if that helps.
Hello,
I have an issue with selecting a network operator. Search networks and Select automatically are grayed out => cannot press on them.
I am on stock 4.4.2 on Straight Talk. I am not rooted. I tried different APN, but still they are grayed out. Please help me.
Hi,
Under Marshmallow, it is no longer possible to select LTE only. Before the update under Lollipop you can select this in the hidden menu with the code 3845#*855# . The hidden menu is still available with the code *#546368#*855# .
But there's no option to force 4G / LTE anymore. Has anyone a solution for this problem?
I found
Go to the hiddenMenu, modemProtocol, RAT Selection;
There is it!
Do not work for me the option is there but the network is disable with that option
I'm trying to get dialler funtionality on my Huawei M2 802L.
I now realised I ***** myself by manually upgrading to Marshmallow.
1.
Marshmallow removed the "Enable OEM Unlock" option.
2.
I can't update to this ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/me...-b207-android-6-0-marshmallow-emui-4-t3533572
In Settings -> Update -> Menu the "update locally" button is replaced by "Download latest full package".
3.
I can't find a Huawei M2 rollback package. Is there one?
What's my next move guys?
Update: I found the dial *#*#2846579#*#* trick to update thru SD card.
The problem is dialer is still down. I'm not sure how to verify the ROM install properly either.
Does anyone know an alternative way to do this: http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/...enable-calls-on-your-vodafone-mediapad-m2-80/

Hello calLsOLoIsNOob,
Would you mind to specify what kind of issues you have with the dialer please ?
I bought my M2-801L tablet 6-8 months ago, updated it through various OTA updates until the last B208 one (if you need links check my post here -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77201067&postcount=163 ), and never had issues of any kind with the stock dialler. I use it for daily basis calls (in and outgoing) with all features and advanced settings needed to have an optimized dialling module and HQ calls.
Indeed, what goes on Dev. options, "OEM Unlock" has disappeared from it, and agree with you it's a shame. Does the Huawei's Bootloader unlock might replace this function ?
What goes about rollback procedure, can't help much, never had to use it so far.
NB : My M2 8.0 model is EU one, don't know if there are any major differences with same model from other countries / continents / GSM Providers.
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Have a nice day.
Kind Regards.
