Hope someone can help, this is driving me nuts.
I cannot get YouTube links to open the YouTube app from chrome. They will always open in chrome.
The problem started a few weeks/ months ago with chrome beta. I just switched to straight stable chrome and the problem wasn't there. Starting yesterday the problem is back in the regular stable chrome app.
I tried -
Resetting all default app settings from app manager.
Forcing stopping and clearing cache / data of chrome and chrome beta and YouTube.
Uninstalling chrome beta
Uninstalling (updates) chrome and reinstalling.
Uninstalling and reinstalling YouTube.
Anyone have any magic for me?
Well, I don't use chrome as I like stock browser the best. To me it prolly will work if you ran framework and used complete action plus to set opening defaults to web links and external apps.

Since I got this table a year ago, browsing in chrome was always kinda wacky.
It is slow and unresponsive, clicking on links takes forever.
Anyone else? Is this an issue with the tablet itself? Any fix?
Hi, was my problem too, no i have downloaded xposed module app setting, configurated chrome to screen 320x480 (for use phone interface that is, really strange.. very faster than tablet version) and.. voilĂ .. now chrome is really fast and for open only desktop site use this hack: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1811101.
You could try downloading the Chrome Samsung support library from the Play store. I've found it really improves Chrome performance on Samsung devices.
(Can't post links yet) /store/apps/details?id=com.chrome.deviceextras.samsung
So I've ran into a couple of instances where it would be nice to have a browser on my FireTVs. Just curious what browsers have already been tried and how they worked? I'm partial to Google Chrome but more than willing to try something else if it runs better on the Fire or has better navigation. Would also be nice to have some integration with XMBC but that is not a must since I can launch just about anything from Favorites. I have a keyboard and mouse but would be nice to be able to do a little bit with a remote if possible. I am rooted and have the Play Store installed.

Seems some browsers like Chrome might need a keyboard or mouse for control on FireTV... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53091252&postcount=380

Dolphin is the browser I use the most on my AFTV. Chrome blows, firefox blows.
.
I have tried several web browser E.g. firefox, chrome, javalin, and Naked. Most annoyed is FTV keyboard popped and I couldn't see background of browser. However Naked browser is awesome speedy no bloatware or junk and most respected privacy.
I might try install the null keyboard (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fevdev.nakedbrowser&hl=envoid) and test if it will allows me run null keyboard as primary input then it will rock!
When using naked, the keyboard pops up like on the cell? Any mods to hide it?
Using Chrome, if I a on a forum and someone has posted a message with a YouTube video I get a gray box that says plugIn is not supported.
If I go to the same post using Chrome on my Moto X the video starts playing as it should.
Any idea why and how I can fix if possible? Moto X is on 5.0 and Tab Pro is on 4.4.2.
Thanks
I think you have to install Flash manually: https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installing-flash-player-android-devices.html
Why it works on your Moto X, I don't know. Adobe stopped supporting Flash on Android some time ago; and it likewise has not typically been included as a pre-installed plugin for sometime (or even available on the Play Store).

Still doesn't work, I remember trying this a while ago with no luck. Installed the latest version of flash player from Adobe site for 4.0 but video still doesn't play in chrome.
I've had better luck with flash on Dolphin browser. Google adobe flash for 4.4. There are plenty of downloads out there. I have not had success with the versions from the Adobe site (be sure to uninstall the one you downloaded from there) . Go into settings in dolphin browser and make sure the flash setting is Always On.

Like I said, I don't know if Chrome even support Flash anymore. As the above suggests, Dolphin browser does, and I believe Firefox as well.

Thanks, I remember having to setup Dolphin browser to watch amazon videos on my old tablet.
I just wish Chrome on my Tab Pro worked like Chrome on my Moto X, which does show the videos in the browser. So strange that it works on one but not the other.

When I go to the link on my tablet it says html5 will be used but if I go to site on my phone it says default player will be used.
Any idea how to change that setting on my tablet? Looking through chrome and YouTube app settings and I don't see anything.
Thanks!
Got the T-Mobile m9. Why is google chrome so laggy when scrolling up and down pages?
Play store tells me to log in but it's supposed to automatically right?
And sense home always quits when in the themes app.
Any idea please how to fix?
I'd use the HTC Internet browser from the market, as Chrome is just laggy. This phone is laggier though than the M7 and M8 browsing the Internet so prepare for that if you've used either of those, but don't worry if you've used a Samsung as it's faster than that.
As for google play store, i'd clear data on the app in the app manager and see if that solves it
Sense home issue is a mystery but try uninstalling any updates and installing them again, and if you can stomach losing your desktop icons, theme, font's etc, clear data on the themes app / htc home app too.
I find Chrome very laggy too. I switched to Opera which seems better. Not sure if it's something to do with the 810.
Thanks.
How can I import from chrome to the HTC browser?
Also why are all games crashing on my m9 alot? Ideas? Didn't have it this bad on my s5. Thinking to return my m9.
And the HTC keyboard is horrifically swift key is too. Samsung for me has the best by far.
The problem im facing here is that i got this phone.. Downloaded and installed the Google Play Store & all, so i have th eplay store working. all things are going smooth except for the Facebook app..
On the Amazon App Store.. It says, "Currently Unavailable" and when I installed it through Google Play Store, It crashes.
almost every app that has a "login through faceook" is crashing as soon as tap it (The facebook Connet / Login bubble)
however the Facebook Lite app and Messenger work fine.. The other app like "moments" or direct facebook app plugins are crashing.
I am rooted and running the latest Fire OS. 4.6.6
Any ideas?
You could try:
Puffin for Facebook
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cloudmosa.puffinFB
Download Facebook 68.0.0.37.59 from apkmirror.

Facebook broke on FireOS around V61. The version on the Amazon App Store is very old (like V48 or something) but does work, just not with the new reactions. Download an earlier version and you should be fine.
