Hi All,
Please help me in this matter. I use Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 with Phantom ROM 4.4.2 installed. The ink effect for lock screen doesn't work in it.
At the same time it's working in Dr.Ketan's ROM 4.4.2.
Could anyone please tell me how to port this ink effect setting from Dr.Ketans ROM to Phantom ROM. I have both the ROM's zip files and can make the changes in it.
Any help in this matter is appreciated.
I searched about this and tried different methods before this but failed. So please help me as I am a noob in the development part.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I tried this method and replaced the files and set permissions for all 3 like that, but now the settings app totally disappeared and can't access it.
Any idea?

Just now I tried with DN3 settings too. This time the settings icon appeared but once I try to access it, it force closes.

I just rebooted the phone now and now the force close issue is resolved and I can access the DN3 setting.
But now even with that DN3 settings, the ripple effect with ink is not working, which was working in DN3 ROM.
Only the ripple effect is seen and no ink effect.
Is it something about the fraework?

file in the installation of Mirko ddd already insert the code, so no need to edit. And Mod was running ok on my machine!
This isn't multiwindow but just a sidebar app shortcut since multiwindow doesn't work. The apps don't open in multiwindows.
Seems like a failed attempt.

no it is not .I tried it
First of all, you should understand the relation of smalis and apks.
the apk modifed by different person has different new ids that specify drawables, dimens, strings, layouts, ...
there're so many ids in smali file and framework-res.apk(in this case), that must be perfectly matched to work, or something will be broken.
because you pasted Goldieking's smalis to Mirko's feature, some mods are messed up.. that's a natural result.
Just wait v9, or forget about this if Mirko didn't want the multiwindow feature in 9100.

I recently flashed the Jedi X12 ROM on my Note 2 SGH-1317M.
When I check the build # it says Jedi X8 PORT so I'm getting an outdated version of the ROM.
I'm not able to use updated features like over clocking etc.
Can anyone please advise me on what I'm doing wrong?

Don't worry, it's just the build.prop file that you flashed with the carrier zip file.
you're on XP12, if the X8 PORT label bugs you, you can rename it in your build.prop using rom toolbox

thanks for your reply but i'm pretty sure it's not just the label as I do not have any of the X9, 10, 11 or 12 features such as Overclocking, Boot animations etc...
Look in ypur settings... do u see jedi rom tricks?

I do, I only have deviant development, 23 toggle, custom ink, keybrd switcher, custom framework, per-app dpi, pie launcher, icon changer
Then u have 12.... all thos other features can be found in rom toolbox

You can try extract the secsettings.apk from my mod and push it system/app. Set permission rw-r--r--r and delete secsettings.odex. reboot
Make a backup just in case it force close.

I wish you can help me about another thing .. The lock screen now is only with pattern now and on 4.1.2 it was with both swipe and pattern and the option to enable the swipe with the pattern is not exist in the lockscreen options after I updated to 4.2.2... Any solution for this!?

You can try Xposed module to enable swipe before security here:

Thank you so much for your help but it is not working with me.. I tried to install it as a normal APK and restart but nothing changed and the option still not found and I tried to push it to /system/app and I gave it permission rw- r-- r-- and restart but nothing changed too.. Anyway to make it work!?

You need Xposed Installer 2.1.4 to activate the apk.

I got this Xposed but I wanna know something... What if I want to uninstall this Xposed after I pressed on install/update on firmware tab.. What will happen!? And I wanna know if this Xposed is affecting on device's performance or not and if it is safe or not!?

So far haven't encounter any problem with xposed. There is a mod provided in the linked to disable xposed framework any time you want.

Hello friend's today i bring you a touchwiz Home for the nexus 4 Running CM11/AOKP/STOCK
before you flash the launcher you must change lcd density from 320 to 308 to make the dock dots visible or else they will be behind the icon
to change the lcd density you must download root browser (free on the playstore) and get root acces or else you cant change but if have root acces
go into system folder then in the end you can see build.prop open it using a text editor and the find the line that says ro.sf.lcd_density=320 and change it to 308 that is save the build.prop file restart you phone now and download the .zip file and flash in recovery

I will try to install your launcher on a N7000 (note 1) with CM11 4.4.4. This because I will try to install S Healt and Gear Fit Manager in it.
LCD density on Note is 320. I must change it as you say.
For you, there is any possibility that the samsung apps work ?

Hi i can send you a link for sumsung apps that were ported and i dont think you must change LCD density on a N7000 because it already has a big screen it needed to be changed on devices like nexus 4 because of the smaller screen please try and report to me

As suggested above it's only available when you choose"swipe" under lockscreen settings also make sure under lockscreen settings "camera widget" is ticked mark.

Ohhh, but on DN3 V5 its available with patern locak as well, !!!!
any MOD to get it back on v5+

No idea sorry i'll try to find out if replacing a system file from v5 in v5+ can solve that issue.
I know on AOSP rom one can have secured pattern and multiple widgets on lockscreen but on touchwiz it's not possible atleast in the newer updates since Kitkat,i never flashed DN3 V5 but V5+ it's not possible.

Done flashing dn3 v5+, my problem is after locking the screen and swiping it, it goes blank. Just the wallpaper and NO icons, you cant even restart or turn off without removing the baterry. After booting it goes the same problem.

did you flash a custom kernel ? If you have then perhaps you under volted too much. If you are on stock kernel then re flash your rom with a full clean wipe in recovery. None of us faced the issue you are facing only thing we faced while unlocking the screen was slight lag which was taken care of by choosing none or water effect/ripple in lockscreen effects.
