Just to keep you guys updated.
I understand that the whole UI of lollipop is minimal for more than one reason. I personally find it boring and bland.
I really enjoyed my skinned UI setup in CM11 and 10 running Apollo, Blue Mint, Frosty and Alloy Blue & Red, Etc...
I have installed loads of CM12 themes and they are all lacking and just don't measure up in my opinion.
I don't suppose you would port some of your previous generation themes to 12.1?

I really want to, but not atm.
Maybe in the future because i don't use CM anymore and don't know what are the changes between CM10 to CM12.1.
Btw, i find lollipop UI is boring too lol.

Yo vicino, in your opinion; what is the best droid flavour and ROM to use that has the most skinnable friendly interface? I am going to trash my CM12.1 Android5.1.1 installation(Dissapointing) and since there are so many out there I feel a bit intimidated by my lack of experience in the matter. I have a Galaxy S4 i9500 and I would like to try my hand at some custom skin and theme design for my own phone..... Another question.. I have tried out most of the start screen loaders/widgets(Themer, UCCW, Zooper, KLWP, Buzzz) and I have noticed that there is very little to no animation in all of the solutions I have tried so far. Is that because the widget/home screen environment does not support state based animation? I refer to states of object control, eg. onDrag event, etc...
I ask because one could have a themed UI packed with effect animations that would make a theme really pop and yet still conserve battery life if said animations only triggered during control object interaction and then stopped after one pass. (Hope I am making sense)
Excuse my ignorance, my experience in design and programming is limited to Web and Windows only. But I am never to old to learn
I would like to design a pseudo grunge / hi-tech theme based on this template that I created for my HTML5/Flash website media player & content management system.

Introduction
Hello Everyone!
My name is Nitroz, or Kurt if you want to call me by my real name. Some people may know me from back in the SGS2 days when I ported the Black Android Theme by Pele or other may know me from the Galaxy Nexus when I created a bunch of themes and one of them was and still is the most popular theme for the Galaxy Nexus. Yes, I'm talking about Black Exodus! Now I have an SGS3 I want to make it as dark and as minimalistic as possible for you guys to save some juice with this gorgeous super AMOLED HD display.
What You Need
-OMEGA ROM Installed (V3 is preferred)

They are called "lustre" on the Android Market. Its a paid app but well worth the $1

I really disliked the dark blue 'frame' around the buttons origonallly, and this looks so much better.
It would be awesome if the black background had a transparrency to it, like the nexus.

Somebody made the icons for me when I first made the theme for the Galaxy Nexus. But you can only see it in this theme
I love to see almost black color/style theme for more battery life . Waiting your nice theme

It has been a while since I made a real homescreen, I had been using Windows Phone for a while before I got my Galaxy S3. You guys have no idea how suffocating those tiles were (But I still love the MetroUI).
So, I call this setup DropUI cause of the raindrops in it. I have this strange fascination about them, they calm me down. You might notice the edges have black spots, they're there so that the screen looks rounded too. Inside the screen is another layer (or I call it a base). The base has the nav, the dock and the folders. I had to include the dock inside the wallpaper and then use blank icons on my launcher cause 7x10 grid was a pain to work with.
I had seen many setups before I created this, the best and the most unique ones used SweeterHome which is a beta launcher and is clunky. I believe in functionality over looks so I chose one of the best launchers out there, Apex Launcher. (You can use GoLauncher too but Apex has some nice gesture controls.) I made most of it, I had to mash up two icon sets and add in some effects to them. (resources are listed below). Unlike most of the complex setups which make it really hard to change wallpapers, each of my homescreen changes its wallpaper automatically. I had to make couple of wallpaper variations but same wallpapers get boring after a while. The folders are made up of Simi Folder widget and the text is made up of Minimalistic Text.

I have attached my wallpapers and fonts used. Refer the the deviant Art page for widgets used. I have a bit of work to do today so tutorial will take about 2-3days. But youre free to have a go at it.

2)Fixed keyboard suggestion font issue.
3)Light panel redesigned with slightly dark background, text and others look clearer.
4)Removed dividers between menu which looks hoot.
5)Scroll bars removed.
6)Added buttons.
8)Also added options button for apps.
9)Other fixes.
This update has major changes.

Really nice! Got to get use to the icon, but they look good! The only thing I would change is the navigation button, I think they are too small and not very intuitive! But it's just my opinion!!
Buttons and icons are not intuitive enough, but good enough for a first release.

Thanks for your opinions. I keep the navbar and icons the way they are, they match with the theme. The reason being is that the Google navbar icons are not intuitive either, but they do match the material design language. It's something you're gonna have to get used too am afraid.
The reason for the small size navbar is to keep things minimal. If i made them large they would be more distracting. The minimalist language is about keeping things simple and non obtrusive.

Don't know if is something wanted or not, but the H symbol with the upload and download triangles are over the square signal symbol! It seems messed up, but maybe is already like this! (By the way I'm starting to getting used to the theme ✌)..

Best theme ever!!! I love it on my phone! I especially love the navbar, the small, classy buttons are awesome, but sadly they only display in few apps like Album or SnapChat. On the Home Launcher Screen I see my stock navbar which sucks, please someone help me fix that. I have a Z1 Compact with RockZL 5.1 ROM.
