Do you have the backup of your EFS partition when you unlocked your bootloader?
If you've unlocked with freegee there should be a folder on sd card named FREEGEE. Inside of it try to find files named something like m9kefs1-backup.img
If you have them leave a reply and we'll continue

Now, i have the freegee app installed, what should i do?
Thanks for your help!

Did you try to restore a rom backup?

Well it's too late right now to do anything with freegee. How did you unlock your bootloader and do you have the EFS backup?
You just need the EFS backup that was created when you unlocked the bootloader first time
Also another great suggestion is to restore a rom if you have any backup

Resetting counter without Triangle away

Hello guys, I'm a user of Moon ROM and when I tried to upgrade to v10 .. It was upgraded successfully .. through AROMA installation I backed up EFS, It was backed up into a folder .. not a tar or IMG file, And I found out that I lost my IMEI, and I couldn't find out how to restore the " folder " EFS backup .. So I tried various ways, In the end I tried to make an IMG file of that folder by ImgBurn and then restored it using this script
I got into a FOREVER boot loop, I tried to unroot, i tried to go back to stock firmware, I tried to reflash v9 Moon ROM and v10 again, I tried everything .. Also getting failed to mount /efs in recovery.
It's just killing me and I actually lost hope
So I was wondering if there's a way to reset my counter so I can send it to warranty.
Since I can't boot up to use Triangle away, Any solution ?

Sorry, but, you pretty much screwed your EFS partition by doing serious mistakes.
First of all, that script is backing up/restoring as RAW image that is taken by DD
I never tried to backup EFS using TWRP. But probably it's taking the file(s) in /EFS partition, not taking a RAW image.
So you tried to create a raw image from TWRP's EFS files using ImgBurn and restored it using DD (that script does that). Big mistake.
All you had to do was restoring EFS back using TWRP
However I think you can still restore EFS if you still have the EFS backup taken by TWRP?
If yes
Find a EFS raw image of Note 2 from somewhere (from a friend or internet...)
It has to be taken by DD (script also will work)
Then restore it using that script
Then enter into TWRP and restore your EFS which you took using TWRP before.

Thanks in advance, So let me get this straight .. I have to look for a EFS img backup from a friend or from internet and restore it then restore the folder backup that I took using AROMA ?
should he be using the same ROM/baseband/kernel/etc or even from my country ?

As long as the device model matches like n7100, it should work. It doesn't has to be same ROM/baseband/kernel.

Your EFS partition corrupted because of your writing improper image.
That's why you can't get your EFS partition mounted.
You still need a raw image of EFS partition of Note 2, then restore your EFS backup properly.

Ok a guy was nice enough and gave me his IMG backup ..
Now I'm stuck at how to restore it !
I mean I can't use the script because it needs the phone to be booted up and android debugging on.

Don't do anything. I'm going to make CWM update zip for you. I'm a bit busy right now.
Put your efs.img file into the root folder of the zip file
Then flash it via CWM or TWRP
Then restore you original EFS files

One x big problem

Hi , i deleted some system files like efs files so i can't use my phone normally and it can't read the SIM , IMEI unknown:0 ... some one can help me to restore that files ?

No, I meant I hope you made a nandroid backup before deleting those system files. If you did make it, do a restore and everything should be back to normal.

there is no 3.20 ruu and a nandroid backup does not restore the imei otherwise we could not change to other backups (from other people like in the nandroid backup thread) your problem is a bit more serious. Because how do we restore a imei everytime after a full wipe and custom rom ? The parts you talk about are not stored in a rom or a backup !
just flash a stockish rom like ARHD with a full wipe (and flash the boot.img via fastboot) and see if that helps !

[Q] IMEI number is 0 after flashing ROM=No signal

Found the imei number under the battery of the phone. But I need help changing it. Cant find a guide for LGG3, can someone help me?
And yes, I did do a backup, but it just rebooted to TWRP and nothing happened after that. So now I Unbricked using lgg3root site, still 0 though :/
means your EFS corrupted, I really hope you backed it up!
Take a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/efs-lg-g3-efs-backup-restore-t2907329. If you dont have a backup you may be in serious trouble

I will be happy to donate a litt cash your way if you can help me
First thing you want to do is take the whole back up folder and COPY it to your pc incase you wipe it or muck up re-bumping the TWRP

No mobile network. UK EFS backup

I have no mobile network and while I wait for the firmware to download from filefactory, does anyone have an EFS backup who is on the RETEU software channel?
If someone had one from RETBR would be good too, I have the same problem as you, I lost my IMEI don't exactly how but I think it had something to do with the EFS
In the meantime I've been going down the QPST route to restore my IMEI with no success. I have thw two IMEIs set to 0, so a TWRP backup + IMEI editing should work well if anyone could upload one for us.
can anyone backup their "efs" and upload it here so that i can restore it and get back my imei.
plzzz. needed indian efs

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. It's either a motherboard replacement from Motorola or a new phone. Sorry, but I learnt the hard way. (£120 mobo replacement) Don't use the chinese TWRP.

Do you know what action did the problem? For me the Chinese twrp works fine.
But there are two Chinese twrp! One from the all-in-in guide, and I've from another thread. Both are same version, but different in size. Having a look at both, I'm using the one from the all-in-one thread (don't remember why but I found it to be better). Maybe you had problems with the other?
Hello what have you done to lose the imei? thank you very much

No but everyone should from now on. He told me his recovery has no risk of efs wiping

If you really tapped efs, then wipe, it is not the problem of the twrp. Thought it would misbehave in some way. It is a really bad idea to change anything on efs partition, but a recovery is not intended to prevent you from doing things you shouldn't do.
TWRP doesn't normally have access to the efs partition. That's why Alberto's one has no risk of wiping it.

Hello then with the one of alberto you can do wipes format and restore nandroid backup without any risk? Why did some people say they lost it by installing their own firwmare via rsdlite or fastboot? I feel my English

Needed xt1710-08 EFS to restore IMEI

After a problem with my computer I lost the backup made with twrp, and I need to flash back EFS to the z2 after a few test I made. Can someone send me a EFS backup? Tried to restore it with LineageOS but no luck, I keep getting IMEI 0.
