So, since the only version of TWRP that works for us at this point does NOT backup EFS and Modem, has anyone figured out a way to back those things up in a way that we could restore them in case of a disaster?
Thanks!

Hi guys,
I have a technical question and i wish to get a pure technical answer. Why is it that when you restore a Nandroid backup, the restored version is not rooted. Isn't the backup done on a rooted version? Thanks.

The ROM they are discussing in that thread is not rooted, certainly when I restore my nandroid backup, currently running cm7, I still have root

It is possible to generate nandroid backups of unrooted ROMs, just not all that common. For example if you have previously applied ENG HBOOT, you could flash custom recovery from fastboot without actually re-rooting the ROM. The resulting nandroid backup will not have root.
Alright, so I hardbricked my I747M from Rogers phone after trying to flash a different models bootloader... but thankfully I made a nandroid on my extSD Card right before.
I am getting it repaired from my local JTAG guy and it's either going to be running 4.1.2 (last time it was at 4.1.2) or the latest 4.3 update from Rogers. (I have no idea which version it will be)
How do I take the steps to restore the nandroid I have on my extSD Card to my phone without bricking?
Do I flash CWM and just restore from there? Or do I have to flash the latest bootloaders and then restore through CWM?
Thank you guys in advance for the help

Hi! Just for you to know, this happened to me once, and I fixed it only by doing a factory reset from recovery, THEN installing a stock rom with Odin. Unknown baseband is just an issue with something being corrupted, and can be fixed with a full 4 part Odin stock ROM. Don't worry, it'll fix. Just do a factory reset from recovery before installing the rom.
Happy flashing And don't forget to thanks if I helped you
im going to flash a gpe firmware but before I do that how do I backup the current firmware I have in my m8?
I went thru a lot trying to figure out how to flash the current firmware for sense I have already and not sure how to do it again its been a while so if I can back it up that would be great just dont know how yet if anybody can help it be much appreciated?
If you take a Rom backup (Nandroid) you Firmware isn't included in this backup.
There are several threads with firmware for differen CID and carrier, so if you could finde it once you can do it again.
I'm in need of an RUU for AT&T. I have flashed a ROM and I feel like I was getting better battery life while on stock AT&T. I did make a backup before hand but it is not restoring properly. I know, I know. I should've read the twrp thread. Correct me if I'm wrong but also, can't I restore my backup and then flash a system.img?
