I don't get it. Did Sprint just rip it out from the ZVE update? Can anyone with ZVE let me know? I'm wondering why it's missing. I bought it just over two weeks ago. I rooted and installed TWRP then did very minor uninstall of crapware before I connected it on Boost Mobile. Been using it for weeks and now, when I went to set up WiFi hotspot for the first time to use it, it is not there!
EDIT: I have now learned that the menu only shows up once activated on Sprint's network and connected thru Sprint. The fix is to do a clean ZVE .tot thru LG Flash Tool and then reactivate as new with Boost Mobile tech support by calling 611.

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting here and I hope I can find some help on this issue that has been bothering me. I recently jumped on a great deal for an I/O HTC Evo for $300 on Craigslist that is still active on Sprint. I went ahead and decided to have a shop that I also found on CL flash my phone to a Cricket Wireless account I had.
The phone was flashed and the talk/text/and 3G data were all working, but not very reliable. Calls were dropping, texts took forever to send/receive and data on everything besides the browser was slow or not even working. I severely regretted going through with the flash at this point.
I've tried clearing the storage by holding the vol. down and pressing the power button in attempt to reset the phone back to factory conditions, but when it boots up, the phone is still associated to Cricket. The person at the Sprint store was also unable to get the phone working back with the HTC Demo account and said the phone was made to automatically associate itself to the sprint network but it wasn't doing it.
My question now is where and what do I look for in changing my phone back to Sprints settings? I'm thinking that they physically flashed some kind of firmware or flashed PRL file to the phone but I don't know how to update or revert this change.
What are my options?
Thanks for reading.
flashing a evo stock rom should do the trick. gives u all the settings. all the apps. basically everything if im not wrong
I'm gonna try this with the file posted at geekforme and see what happens. Thanks for this advice, didn't think of this.
So far I've rooted and unlocked nand then flashed the Stock EVO ROM but it's still associated with Cricket...
When I go to About Phone > Phone identity , its showing my current username @mycricket.com, how do I change this?
I wanna completely clear any cricket connection off the phone.. Is there any deactivation code I can dial?
I updated the PRL using techknowfiles 00001.prl with no luck. What else can I try to undo this cricket flash?
I've already flashed it with the stock Evo rom and it is still working through the cricket phone number.
k so I rooted and unlocked with the app found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2039421 than one night when i was tired and wasn't thinking, i saw a sprint update popup so I clicked.... so that kinda soft-bricked my phone. and then I was able to instal the zv8 flavor to get my phone back up. everything seems to be working except my sprint data connection. I can only browse the net while on wifi.
do i need the radio files (or whatever that is?) some direction would be appreciated. if you have a solution that brings it all back to stock, I'd be fine wit that too!

Worked like a charm thanks a lot!!!!!
Same issue with hotspot using super g2 rom.
I tried updating PRL but my data still goes on and OFF. Is there another hotspot mod I can use with this rom? Any help would be appreciated.
As a bump to this thread, and to keep the forums tidy, I, too, am having issues with SuperG2
I flashed it and it worked beautifully but I was unable to get any data service. I tried updating PRL/Profile but that would not work. Kept giving me a network error.
That being said, I finally got data to work (beyond me, not sure how this happened but I did NOT get PRL/Profile to update) and was using it merrily until I began to restore some files I had backed up via Titanium.
I rebooted to get the data from these files to run smoothly but after a reboot I lost all connection. It told me that my service was disabled.
I reflashed the ROM but am back to square one - unable to updated my PRL/Profile and cannot get any data, even tho the LTE logo is at the top and spinning. WiFi tethering works and I can access the internet in this way, but not in any other way.
I am being forced to go back to stock =(
Any help would be appreciated.

Connect to wifi then update the profile and prl (can be done at home if you have wifi, or mcdonalds, or starbuck, or anywhere that has open wifi)
Similar Issue
Running SuperG2, comming from Milestone1. I cannot seem to get the WiFi tether to work on SuperG2. It worked great on Milestone1. I tried the update PRL while Wifi tether is active but to no avail. I'm not sure if it's related but my signal kinda sucks too. Where I normally get 4g now I only get 3g with sparatic 4g and I also loose my signal altogether at times. I have to activate airplane mode and then deactivate it to get my signal back. I would go back to Milestone1 but SuperG2 is the frontline. Need to keep moving forward. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
I have a rooted G3 (LS990) withe Xposed Frameworks. I've flashed the stock .TOT file a couple times because of soft bricking, but this last time it didn't show the Sprint Spark on boot up, just the stock LG logo. Also, I've noticed that I can't get any internet connection through mobile data.
Is there a way to fix this without flashing? Any help is greatly appreciated.
UPDATE: I got around to the Sprint Store. I made my phone look as stock as possible and they simply reactivated my phone for me. That fixed the mobile data issue. I don't really care about the boot logo, so all is well. Running Xposed Framework and have tweaked my phone to my liking!

Running ##RTN# from the dialer should get the full Sprint setup back. You'll need your MSL, and it will do a factory reset, so be sure to back up everything you need.
Less drastic, and it won't get some things back, but if you haven't already go into settings and update PRL and Profile, then run ##72786# from the dialer. This reruns the activation scripts. Your phone will reboot several times: that's normal. This will not result in data loss.
Hello, so here is my problem. I have been using Cyanogenmod 13 on my LG G3/ls990 for months now. Recently I needed a static IP address through Sprint. When they applied the static IP to my account, I was stuck on 3G, even though I mostly have LTE. Basically what I did was use an old stock rom backup to update my PRL/Profile. This brought back my LTE service. Then I reloaded my CM13 backup. Unfortunately, at first it didn't recognize my sim card, and then it only recognized 3G. Okay, so no problem, I decided I would just go back to the stock rom and clean install a new custom rom. Unfortunately, when I went back to the stock rom, it was also stuck on 3G and this time when I tried to update the PRL/Profile it didn't work, I am guessing because it already saw these as updated. So after a few chats with Sprint's tech support, I was able to get LTE to work again. She said a particular network configuration file wasn't working right, and she did something which was suppose to fix it. As instructed, I typed in code ##72786# after she did it, and LTE worked perfectly. Stupidly, I thought it would be as simple as reloading my CM13 backup. Yet it did it again when I loaded the backup, and now I am stuck on 3G again. Before this I didn't really connect the two together. Does anyone know what exactly is happening here? Tomorrow I plan to call Sprint again, to get them to fix the file, but is there a way I can do it myself, in case I have this problem again when I install a new custom rom? For example, if I go into ##Data# will I fix things by changing a setting in there or something? I hate having to talk to Sprint every time this messes up, and yeah, I know it was stupid of me to do the same thing twice, but it was a day apart and I forgot what I had done the first time. Hopefully whomever I talk to tomorrow can figure out what the woman I spoke with did, because she definitely knew what she was doing. Thank you for all of your help!
Update: Called Sprint they reset my network and I have LTE again. I am somewhat wary of installing a new rom but would like one for resolving performance issues and wifi tether. I downloaded an unofficial Lineage 15 Rom yesterday while I was on 3g only, but it couldn't find my sim. Is there a way to backup my current network settings?
Update 2: So I just tried a fresh install of Lineage 15 and it didn't work. First it recognized cell but no data. Then I went into data settings chose carrier settings that crashed, "android.com. [something]has stopped working" , the sim was unrecognizable after that and the carrier settings weren't there any longer. I backed up my EFS partition in the stock rom before installing, but then I was stuck on 3g even despite that. I called Sprint again, and got them to reset my network settings. Don't want to keep calling them though.
Anybody here with Sprint and a static IP that can recommend a ROM that will work and not mess up my network settings? I don't care if it is Marshmallow or Nougant, I just want something that doesn't overheat my phone and which I can have native tethering.
EDIT: I was able to install Fullmics and retain my LTE.
