I was curious to know if anybody knew if the G4 will ship with 5.1 or 5.1.1? From what I understand, it takes LG a while with updates so I wanted to see if it would ship with the absolute latest version of android.

Not yet in kit Kat. But it was in earlier version of cm.

About 5 months ago when i had the S4, a guy in the International s4 forums said he almost had wifi calling working on his cm11 builds, but never completed it. cant remember his username, he also made the dual boot mod for the s4.
The Nexus 4 and T-Mobile S3 had bounty threads for this. The N4 bounty topped out at around $1,400 if I remember right. Both bounties were not collected. Even though the source is released and it is "possible," in over a year no one has completed it.

Not officially. The G3 is available but there's reports of issues. That's going to delay it even longer.
That and when it does hopefully it will have all the fixes in it.

I don't know what he means but maybe given that he's in Europe, the update has now come to Europe and then maybe the D5316 is next?
I'm surprised to see how many people have the edge and how empty it is over here. Is there anyone willing to make a rom for us when the 5.1 update hits? Or is there a place to learn so I could give it a try?

Flash a custom Rom?
Make sure you're on latest bootloader, compatible rom (tmo or 9505), flash compatible kernel if wifi issues.

I'm not going to walk you through all of that. Read the forums, there is plenty of info on how to backup flash custom roms.
