[Q] Root and Bootloader Locked - Sony Xperia M

Hi, i have Sony Xperia M (model C1904) gift from my brother but trouble is locked network. I read some post if you Flash your phone, you unlock GSM network. I try do this with Flashtool (Firmware 4.1.2) and everything is fine but my network is still locked. Than i read about unlock with codes and when i typing *#*#7378423#*#* go to Service menu>Service Info>Configuration and about Rooting Status say Bootloader unlock allowed: No, or go to Service menu>Service Info>SIM Lock only for Network stay symbol [0]. Is it possible unlock this phone, and if it is please give me link for that tutorial. Thanks.

No, sorry. You have to deal with the operator about that.

um.. pretty sure if you unlock it to any carrier you can unlock the bootloader with official method, or you could try the testpoint if the phone has one

[Q] Sim/Bootloader Unlock

Hai!
I have a question:
I have a Xperia Play that is Sim Locked and so i cant unlock my Bootloader.
My question is, if i pay my cellphone company to Sim unlock my Play, will i be able to unlock my bootloader after that? Or unlocking the bootloader only works on phones that are native sim unlocked?
Thanks!
It is still possible to unlock the bootloader of your phone as I have a sim locked phone but unlocked it and unlocked the bootloader altough to do this you are going to have to sim unlock your phone with a software like omnius which uses a testpoint connection which gives you the option to unlock the bootloader of your phone it will not work if you unlock your phone using a unlock code.

if you are getting both bootloader and sim unlocked then it is well and good. I thought you had t choose between bootloader unlocking and sim unlocking. Coz bootloader unlocking is very simple compared to sim unlocking.

If i unlock my branded phone, will i be able to unlock bootloader?

So, i have a branded phone and can't unlock the bootloader.
Will i be able to unlock the bootloader if i unlock my phone by contacting the phone network operator?
Also, will these two options do the same thing with my phone?
unlock at: phone network operator

Removing the SIM lock (which is what you appear to be referring to) does not give one the ability to unlock the bootloader. However, I believe unlocking the bootloader will also remove the SIM lock. I can't say for sure, since my version of the Play (R800x, the Verizon CDMA one) does not use a SIM card at all.
Thanks for the answer!

[Q] Unlock a SIM locked Xperia M

So my gf got an Orange Xperia M and would like to use a O2 SIM in it. It's obviously locked to Orange so right now it's asking for an unlock code when the O2 sim is installed.
I checked the service menu and her bootloader is locked tight too:
bootloader unlock allowed: No
I read that you need to unlock fastboot for the Sim lock to drop. Any way to do that?
We don't really need to unlock the bootloader at this stage just the sim lock.
Thanks a bunch.

[Q] Unlocking a not unlockable Bootloader

Hi,
I got a Z1 compact and I need to remove the Simlock to use a SIM card from another carrier.
After reading a lot of other posts I'm assuming that I need to unlock the bootloader to do that.
The problem is, that the service info says that the bootloder unlock is not allowed..
Is there any possibility to unlock the bootloader anyway?
Thank you for any helpful answers.

There has been no exploit found yet
No. And will probably never happen either.

You don't need to unlock the bootloader to unlock the SIM. Those are 2 different unlocks.
