Hello,
So as you can see, my htc desire 616 has an equalizer problem.
I'm gonna be totally honest here, it was my fault. I'm such a noob. I rooted my device with kingo root and it worked out just the way it was supposed to be. It's got boomsound, or it use to have anyway, I was listening to some songs on poweramp with i patched through lucky patcher with nice volume. But I previously had a Samsung and I rooted it and enjoyed exposed framework. I installed Beats Audio on that through an apk. It was so stupid of me to try that on this device which already had an updated version of beatsaudio ie. boom sound.
when i restarted my phone, and opened my player expecting an awesome sound, it got the like drrrr rrrr. I though my dive had gone wrong, or whatever so I uninstalled beatsaudio from the app and restated. And boom, my boomsound waas gone. Now it plays songs through the speaker with very low sound volume. I think my equalizer got messed up as whenever i open power amp, or the music effects on my music app, or the system equalizer and play music, ONE ERROR COME UP. UNFORTUNATELY, MUSIC FX HAS STOPPED every time. Guys so do I have to change my equalizer or is there a way to get back my boomsound. I've tries restarting, rebooting with clearing delvic cache and everything. PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP

hey all,
I'm running IceColdSandwitch 8.8. my problem is when listening to music using native music player (not Google music player) and using musicfx enhancer, it works for mby few minutes, then music goes flat again. if I go back to it, it says enhancer is on and the music starts sounding better. but once I go do some other things, after few mins same thing happens.
do I need to do anything extra to keep the enhancer going?
edit: I have noticed this happens after every song as well
also dspmanager doesn't make any audible difference.
thanks
Hello, anyone have this problem? Im using stock dll7 firmware and stock music player equalizer sometimes resets to default. Furthermore, randomly music hangs for second or less.

I don't think thats a bug. The equalizer will reset to normal if u detach the earphones, as it works only with earphones (i.e with 3.5mm audio jack).
About skipping/ stuttering music, i've not had this problem except when playing via bluetooth.

Yes, it should if each time you use the audio jack (or bluetooth?) for listening to music (i.e attach headphones & then run the music player). But if you set an equalizer (say rock), then detach headphones & play music via phone inbuilt speakers, then equalizer resets itself to normal. Also, if u set it to rock even without headphones and then end the app, it would reset to normal when played again. I've noticed this on all stock samsung roms so far (currently on latest 4.1.2 India XXDLL4).

Oh ok. That really seems buggy music player for you! Anyway, try clearing data/ cache of music player & musicFX app using application manager followed by a reboot. Ignore, if you already did that.
So here is my issue, and yes, searched but nothing comes up for my issue. It seems to not matter the ROM I am on, I have a T989 SGS2, currently running Avatar ROM which is 10.1 my issues is that when running a music player, baked in or 3rd party, I will use my LG Tone BT headset all day at work and at any given time, any audio enhancement app I use will crash. It can happen randomly, it may last for 5 minutes, it may last for 5 hours. Hers is where it gets weird, it has happened on other ROMs so it led me to believe that it was the music player itself, in which case was Apollo. I didtched Apollo and went to the MIUI player, but it happens there too. When I have the ear buds planted in my ear and running DSP manager, you really hear a difference when the audio enhancement quits working. So I deleted DSP mgr and added a 3rd party app, guess what, same issue. I have added Awesome beats and same thing, sometimes a reboot will fix the issue, but once in a while, I get an error of said music player has stopped working and then I have to find another 3rd party player to bypass that fault. Anyone seen thise before...?

That's weird. If you flash the acid that would give you both the acid and awesome beats. That's what I'm using right now....try wiping cache/devil then fix permission.

I have always made good practice of wiping after any rom flash or app install, and fixing permissions after a ROM flash and has settled. I have been running this Power Amp trial so far and have had it playing flawless so far, cross my fingers. It doen not seem to have the power like some of the mods do, but its better then stock. Do you think the mods will increase this sound or if the pro version of the power amp worth the price?

I set the eq in power amp, I have awesome beats on extreme with no eq, nooz on hard and largest, unique...just have to put your headphones on and play with it. My phone is LOUD. With really good bass too. make sure you uncheck poweramp as your direct volumn control. Also you can present amp power amp. It would have it extra lound.
Hi!, I had a serious nerve racking problem with Samsung Galaxy W since I flashed it with another official stock ROM in which I got much more languages including the french one. But the problem is that when the earphone is plugged in to listen to my music, it starts switching the soundtrack I am playing to another one that I wasn't playing, it even stops playing :'( . And it's the same **** everytime I want to play my music from the default music player or the one installed like Poweramp. So please help me to fix this!. Even when I wanna listen to my FM radio it shuts down by itself and I could hear some weird beeps from my earphone. The Autostarts apps won't solve at all my problem! :'(
[Q] My phone plays and stops music by itself when the earphone is plugged in, but once removed from it everything works fine! :'(

I am not sure about the default music player, but poweramp has a feature like the one you described. When you plug in the headphone, it resumes playing. (An autostart musicplayer feature). Check the settings under poweramp player and hopefully you will see that option somewhere. I am not using poweramp so I can't tell you where exactly that option would be.
The other issues you desribe, I don't know. It may have something to do with the conflict between poweramp and FM radio... Maybe. I am not sure. See what happens when you disable the option I described above.
The stock rom don't have a FM radio app, so use Spirit FM, search the apk and download it.
And this problem happens with me too, but only sometimes. When I'm using a Bluetooth headset, no problems, but when I use a normal earphone, some lags occur.

Okay thanks for your help but now the problem is solved after disabling the "media button pressed" event's from the pre installed music player and many other apps running on your Android's system. It requires root access to be allowed "Autostarts.apk". Anybody else having the issue could use this app to fix it!
The problem:
My M8 is having difficulty playing music with sound. When I try to play music on the phone, the song will play. However, there will be no sound coming out from the speakers.
What I tried already:
I tried using a different music player. I downloaded Shuttle+ and tried to play, but I keep getting the same issue. Sometimes, when I reboot the phone, the stock music app works properly, but after the currently playing song is done, it would again play but not produce sound. If I go to the Shuttle app and play a song while the song plays with no sound on the stock music app, the Shuttle app works fine. But then after the song is done on Shuttle, I have to switch to the stock music app for sound to come out properly.
I remember how Google limited SD card functionality (my music was on my sd card). So I transferred the songs onto the phone storage, but I still have the issue. Then I figured that the issue might be my mp3 files. I deleted them all to try to isolate the problem. I tried playing song from the Google Play Music app and it appears to be working fine. This morning, the google play music also exhibiting the same problem. So even Spotify is having the problem. The music will load and the slider will move to indicate the song is playing, but again no sound. I tried deleting the data of all the music apps I have and they still do not work properly.
I have xposed modules installed so I disabled all of them and restarted the phone, but the problem persists.
Also, the boomsound speakers are functioning properly. Youtube videos and regular video files play with sound. I only appear to be having problems with music.
Phone modification:
This is probably really important to figuring out what the issue is. My phone is rooted and S-off. I have xposed installed with the following modules: forced immersive mode, greenify, keepchat, nfciconremover, snapshare, unicon, youtube adaway.
Other than that, the phone is stock.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
Solution
I performed a factory reset and started all over to isolate what modification caused this music bug.
Turns out, it was flashing the Tethering mod located here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708548
If you are currently experiencing this problem, go back to pure stock OR simply flash this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2731893
Now, if you still want tethering, install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715671.
I can confirm that installing that will give you tethering and not break music functionality!

I no longer have the M8, but I had the exact same issue. I also thought that it had something to do with storing my music to the SD Card via Google Play Music.
I would back up, flash a Rom and see if that fixes it. I'm guessing it will work fine and it's just something happened from xposed.
