I have a problem. I want to use my alarm clock and i have chosen the option Do Not Disturbe ofcourse , but it blocks everything also the alarm sound
Now i have to choose the Sound option to get the alarm to work and now i have got messages,calls that has waked me up. I think this i quite a stupid problem when old phones doesnt work like this.
Is there a solution to this , apps or something ? I have stock Kitkat.

I am putting my phone in Airplane Mode between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. with Timed Toggles and not having any issues with alarm clock.

The airplane mode is a good idea and the alarm works but then again you cant see if someone has tried to call you, although messages comes through when you take off the airplane mode.

Got my Rhodium last week. Nice one. Better than my old devices touch pro, ameo, MDA III etc.
But I have on big prob. When I turn on the alarm clock to 07.00 in the morning and turn the phone into silent mode for the night, at 07.00 clock only a message "alarm" without any sound appears. First day I used this "feature/bug" I woke up to late and got a caussion from my boss...
Any one has help or ideas ?

Setting to silent mode each night cause the email arr. through the night and still it wakes
me up with sound alarm... Unable Event sounds in Sound settings and it will work for sure

Hi,
Anyone quickly shut off their alarm to find it won't turn off? I've done it a few times now. If the alarm goes off and you quickly swipe down, the alarm continues to sound and the only way I've found to turn it off is to switch off the phone fully.
Yup had that too...
Very Annoying, having to apologize to the people around you for the constant alarm sounding during the reboot......
If anybody knows a fix ?
i had this problem too today, my suggested fix is to go into settings and enable the volume keys to also switch off the alarm, cant vouch for it as definitive as it happened to me for the first time today but its worth a try
Do you guys often find that the alarm notification icon sometimes disappears for no reason?
Yeah, mine comes on and goes off for no apparent reason. Have looked at all the setting but have not found a solution. Not a deal breaker though since there are so many other alarm apps on the market, although it would be good to get the stock on working reliably.
no issue with mine. i purchased mine 8 days ago and i use the alarm every day with no issues so far. i am running the bell rom and am rooted
This happens with mine as well, but no issue of the alarm not coming on at the correct time.
this happens to me too!! i've my morning alarm set for 7am all weekdays. however, whenever i turn off the phone, or after an one-week cycle, the notification icon would disappear.
Although it still indicates that the alarms are "on" when i look at all alarms within the Clock app, i just get paranoid that i wont go off the next day (since the notification icon disappears and the lock screen does not indicate an alarm is active).
does anyone know a fix to this?? please help!
So I overslept today - no alarm. And it turned out that my new ONE X doesn't want to sound the alarm, when it is in flight (airplane) mode. This is the case not only with the stock alarm, but also with a couple of other alarm apps I've tried.
I prefer to go flight mode during the night, to make sure there are no random messages through any medium whatsoever. The option "also in silent mode" is ticked on, if this is of any consequence.
Is there anything one can do?
Also, alarm in the silent mode (even if the corresponding option is checked) doesn't produce sounds, only vibration. This is lame.

Noone is bothered by that or noone else has that problem?
I use the HTC Dock App as my alarm clock, that works fine

just put mine in silent and set a test alarm, worked fine with sound - you sure your alarm volume is turned up?
I just upgraded to pie and have this permanent Alarm reminder in the pull down menu,
its driving me nuts trying to figure it out
This might seem too basic but have you actually tried to go into Clock app and disable or delete all alarms and then reboot your phone?
Yes tried that , been looking for an answer a while now and not finding anything , its an odd alarm to
00.30 , who sets an alarm for that time lol
Wish I could delete this thread now , but found out it was Tasker.
