Viper4android error driver not installed! - Xolo Q1010i

I have trying to install viper4android on my q1010i from past 2 months and have tried every mentioned thing on the vipers forum as well as other threads.
The thing is its showing error- "Driver installation failed, the busybox found on your device doesn't work. this usually means you installed the wrong or broken busybox, V4A needs stericson busybox to work. If you are sure about having installed the proper busybox, then please confirm your device has been properly rooted."
Things i have tried
- Installing both busybox(free from playstore as well as pro)
- Tried unrooting and rerooting the device
- Flashed different versions of supersu
- Tried different versions of V4A
- Tried flashed different versions of V4A
Please help me!!...The thing is V4A works with jb but not working with kk.
I have currently stock kk s002 with exposed framework installed

Cheers... I did it !

Suggestion: (Why Don't you update to S009, Its much more smooth!)
My Xolo Q1010i on 4.4.2 is working good with "Viper".
At start even i faced a lot of Problem but at last got a Solution :victory:
Technical Info:
(This problem is there in KK because there is no space left in kitkat System to Put any other file)
So, what u have to do is
1. You should have flashed a Stock 4.4.2 Kitkat Rom which is already SUed(Rooted) / Or root ur Kitkat by flashing custom Recovery and flashing SuperSu after that (google it for further details)
2. You need to delete some system App (To Get some space In System)
*Use Root Explore / ES File Explorer in root mode
To do this, U need to go In System>App> DELETE AN APP {PREFER GOOGLE PLUS(As u can intall it again)}
3. Restart
4. Upate SuperSu Binary(How to ?>Google It)
5.Install Busy Box
6. Enjoy Super Cool Audio Quality
But Viper have An Issue on Kitkat, If you clear viper from Recent... it will stop to work.
And Ya I'm using Multiwindow!
Check Here: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/q10...ws-android-t3116786/post60931397#post60931397 )

I am stuck with s002 coz i was nt properly able to root s009 (luck patcher and other root app not working)
couldn't find the extra and awesomeness in s009 which was not in s002 so not gonna update.
And i have apprx 73.8mb in my system and i think that's enough for viper.
Also i have already uninstalled most of the system apps(before asking for help).
Other suggestions??

Notice: None of Rooting App will work for Xolo Q1010i... u need to follow this to do that, else u will always be there with s002!
The Problem is, Your Xolo is not properly Rooted(No proper Su binary Available)! [And simple copy / paste do not work in kitkat]
So, i strongly Recommend You to,
1. Download SU'ed "S009" from here : ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/q1010i/orig-development/rom-stock-xolo-q1010i-rom-one-d-t2883342 )
{You Seriously Need To Flash To Get Root, I Flashed Some 10-12 times to discover how to properly root our Xolo with s009 Kitkat}
2. Flash It With Flashing Tool
3. Follow Instruction What I have given Above properly.
4. I guarantee S009 works on Root poperly n buttery smooth with great battery backup N With Viper ofcourse
(And Ya, Reminding Again Flashing The Above SUed Rom is important, after that follow my steps. Else you will never be able to properly Root Your Xolo Q1010i )
And Remember, If Viper works on Mine Xolo with Kitkat S009.... It will work for you, for sure. Just give it a proper Try buddy

ok, i'll try this and will post result after sometime.(having exams)
and do i have to flash latest super su binary also...after flashing pre su'ed s009.

Nah, Just update it via play Store.
Then, SuperSu will ask you to update binary itself. Done!(Make Sure u delete some file from system before updating SuperSu)

i have tried on sued s009..nothing happened...still same error...
i don't know what i m doing wrong...

Finally after working whole night i have viper fully working in my kk now..!!!
i m soo happy...
the thing was my os was missing audio_effects.conf which i mistakenly deleted when i uninstalled dsp manager...

Disable "MOUNT SPACE SEPARATION" on Super SU

posting fix I found someone else figured out

This is what fixed my busybox error with V4A driver install:
"OK all I have a fix for installing Viper on the Tab S.
Use any file explorer and navigate to /system/vendor/etc
Copy the audio_effects.conf in that location
Navigate to /system/etc and paste the file you copied there
Once copied change the permissions to match the other files in the /system/etc folder
Install Viper and it should work this time, apparently the audio.effects.conf file is expected to be in the /system/etc location and is not there by default for some reason....*"
The file was already where it said to copy to, but contents were different. Either way, afterwards opening V4A apk file (without even having to reinstall), it prompted for driver install and did it!

The voice of sanity.
Go into SuperSU. If everything is installed correctly (rooted, supersu, viper, and busybox), this WILL be the proper solution.

device is unrooted after cm12.1 ROM installation

Hello guys
I havea problem after CyanogenMod 12.1 installation on i9082
Everything works fine but
I can't have root access, it seems that the device got unrooted after the ROM
I have tried to enable developer options
And I checked root access in the setting to Apps and ADB
but I still get unrooted messages when I try to open an application that requires root
Also I tried to flash supersu from CM recovery but the installation stops in the middle
I tried several different versions of supersu but still the same problem.

What do you mean? Did you installed twrp manager app? Not that app, you need to flash Twrp/cwm.zip file through cm recovery. Or find the cwm/twrp.tar file and flash by Odin.

check it under Grand Android Development thread, there are twrp and cwm in zip file, can be flash through recovery. Same thread with cm12.1 that you flashed.
Flash superuser zip.
Your Rom is Pre-Rooted But you need to flash latest Superuser.zip to gain Root accesses .

Try type this in dialer *#1234#* or *#*#1234#*#*. If any of 5hose doesn't work, visit supersu thread.
OK I tried these lines but nothing happened can you give me link to supersu thread?
cm12 has root disabled by default. Activate it from developer options.
Or you can flash supersu

You ALREADY HAVE root with CM-SU. To enable it, just go to developer option and give root permissions to app. Some SuperSU's versions are incompatible afaik. CM-SU preinstalled is just fine.

SuperSU is an issue for itself. Installing 2.74 using TWRP on my G3 lead to boot problems because of a boot image patch that SuperSU installs. If I restore boot partition before rebooting, SuperSU doesn't install. Using Play Store version fails to install su binaries.
Conclusion: use CM own root. It works nicely, just lost FolderMount but, well, I prefer that instead of losing phone.

CustomPatcherScript_Bump.zip + UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550.zip
But it's also can cause reboot loop
Do backup before doing flash that script
That worked fine with my D855 32Gb + CM13

I believe V4A needs to make changes to the system when installing the drivers. And on this device, system is write-protected even with root. The result is that the system changes revert to "stock" upon reboot.
I suggest flashing getting the wp_mod (write protection kernel mod) zip from this thread, and flash in TWRP. Then try to install the V4A drivers again.
Make a backup in TWRP before doing any of this. If anything goes wrong, you have an easy way to restore back to where you started.

Custom ROMs will already have the write protection mod applied; so I suspect that is why the system changes stuck.

How to install SYSTEM-MODE Supersu on Android Oreo?

Hello there,
I'm running my OnePlus 3 with the latest 8.1.0 Omni rom build, and I would like to root with SuperSU in system mode. Now before you post anything let me show you what I have tried so far.
1) echo SYSTEMLESS=false > /data/.supersu in TWRP and then flashing latest supersu (also tried with versions 2.80 and 2.76) -> bootloop every time.
2) Flashing system mode supersu ready zips from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/v2-64-2-66-supersu-mode-t3286120 -> stuck on flashing in TWRP, nothing happens and I have to shut down the phone manually
3) Installing supersu aroma zip, choosing system mode, leave everything default and the flash the latest supersu zip -> bootloop
4) Installing phh superuser, device won't boot, but I think it has to do with the dm-verity which I have enabled, don't know how to fix this. Anyway still doesn't work.
So, does anyone have any idea on how to root Android oreo in system-mode?? I really don't like system less and magisk, and I won't be using them.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Does Oreo even support system-mode su?
And why exactly would you like system-mode? Flashing Magisk is much easier and painless, plus you also get access to Magisk Modules that are kept between updates, unlike (most) system mods.

I don't know if oreo supports system-mode supersu. I read on a XDA Thread that someone got it to work. Followed his steps but still it wasn't doing the job for me. As to why I prefer system-mode, take the app FasterGPS for example. It's a very simple app which modifies the GPS.conf file in /etc in order to have a faster satellite lock depending on you country. This app does not work with SYSTEMLESS supersu. It won't edit the file, despite having super user rights. I'm also facing problems with the terminal emulator, not able to acquire superuser rights when I type su. Don't know what's up with that.
Same request from me, I need to move an app to system, but keeps telling me that I can't, so I started investigating and found out that /system is in r/o mode, and it seems that this depends on Oreo root method, and as far as I know system root is the only method to do that...or am I wrong? Maybe there's a Magisk module to do that?
And what if I try to flash a Nougat rom, will this make my /system folder r/w finally?

You are correct. As far as I'm aware, there is no magisk module that mounts system as rw, so that's a problem. As of now, there is no way that you can root system mode. Too bad.
I have here a V30 and hate too magisk systemless root.
Tried like you, every combi but there just will not work.
me too i almost tried everything.. system mode supersu.zip with no verity.zip.. and i tried the command "echo SYSTEMLESS=false>>/data/.supersu" and also with the normal supersu.. nothing works, i think 2 things can solve ur problem.. it's a custom ROM or downgrading to lollipop or marshmallow I dunno exactly.. (I didn't switch to to a custom ROM cuz i prefer stock oreo rom on my S7 G930F)
