I'm trying to find the stock ROM for the US region. The closest I've been able to find is UK. I have the UK version installed, and OTA and all other features appear to be working, but I'd much rather have the US region ROM.
Thanks!

Like above said. Go to www.samfirmware.com, then go to "Firmwares and Files", choose Model and whichever country you want, and download it. Then, use Odin to flash it into your phone. Simple.
Your phone should be the international note 2. The model is "GT-7100 - Galaxy Note II".
Do you need to be rooted first before flashing a new ROM?
I am receiving a Chinese version tomorrow (UK), and was wandering if I could just change the CSC code and get get rid of anything that's in chinese language?
Thankyou

Please help.

What you mean by international version?
What are the differences?
I ask because I am failing to flash mine and it might not be international (probably).
Thanks

If your phone doesn't have 4G (LTE), then it's the international version, GT - N7100.
Anyone have a link where I can download an untouched, Odin flashable stock ROM (anywhere other than sammobile)? Thanks.

Which one is the US version? I really dislike the way the list is generated. Thanks for the link.
EDIT: never mind, I found the one I want (XAC for Canada).

Noob here... are you saying that XAC (for Canada) is also the US version? I'm also looking for the US version and don't see USA or anything like that?
Thanks in advance!

I'm also looking for the US version. That list is horribly designed.
I'm fairly new to samsung tablets and was looking for the english firmware too.
I installed kies and it showed mine as XAR which is cellular south.
Mine ends ends with ANE9, there is one that ends with 7 too.
I've not tried it but I do recall reading somewhere that the US version falls under cellular south. Maybe someone with more knowledge than me can confirm.
Hope it helps.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (SM-T800). I currently have CyanogenMod 12 installed, but i want to go back to my stock firmware.
when i search my device on the SamMobile firmware site, it gives a bunch of firmwares for different countries, but it does not give one for the United States, where i am living
Does it matter which firmware i use? Will i still receive OTA updates if i choose a random firmware?
Hi. United states is labeled as "Cellular South" on sammobile. BTW flashing different firmwares from a different country should work. Ota updates should still function too. Just flash the USA(celluar south) one first hope this helps!

Thanks for your answer - I was wondering the samething. Why do they refer to the United States as Cellular south????
Anyway, Got a question about flashing the firmware from Sammobile on a rooted device.
I currently have a rooted Galaxy Tab S running 4.4.2, and would like to upgrade to 5.0.2.
Samsung blocks the OTA since my tablet is rooted, so I plan to use Odin and the firmware from Sammobile.
Will I loose root if I flash the 5.0.2 firmware using Odin?
Thanks

Yes you will loose root just root again using cf autoroot, I did.
I'm total stock and I just requested an OTA on the S 10.5 WiFi U.S. model and its downloading over a 900mb update right now.
Has anyone in the UK had Lollipop OTA yet? It seems that every other country has it apart from the UK. I even see posts on Android Central that countries such as Azerbaijan or Outer Mongolia have it, but the UK, forget it!

Not sure why you flashed the Canadian firmware. The UK firmware has been available for a while now.

Not for the 800
I used the French firmware in the end. It was all good though. Now upgraded to Lollipop which seems a lot smoother but I still decided to get rid of Touchwiz and installed Nova Launcher.
Thanks for everyone's help!

You haven't got rid of touchwiz. Touchwiz is an embedded part of the stock Rom. You are only running a different launcher.
Yeah I know that. But I have removed it as my launcher.

The Panama TPA xxu1bod1 is practically the same firmware as the UK firmware.
In fact any firmware with the same build id will be more or less the same except for the carrier extras.
I do not really understand, does it matter which country firmware I use? I live in the USA and use TMobile for service on my tablet so I'd like the best firmware to match that. Will a US SM-T835 firmware work on my SM-T835N? I know it's not released yet, but I can wait. Or do I need the Korean update for my model?
Thanks in advance.
Note that US version is T837 instead of T835 so there might be a difference in ROM partition.
I believe someone on XDA flashed T835 firmware on T835N but there doesn't seem to be any additional confirmation.

I think whoever can answer my question can also answer yours. I don't fully understand it, but I think we can use other country cirmeare but need the proper CSC file.
I am not sure tho, hopefully someone chimes in.
