First off I'd like to say thanks for this great forum. I've used it many times over the years but just recently registered. I've never really had anything substantial to add (still don't). In the past I've had a Photon and HTC One M7, both from Sprint. I never really had the urge to mess with them at all. I recently bought a Note 4 and I decided to root it. I'm more of a computer person, building and customizing but never got into messing with phones.
With that said I'm in need of some help so I decided to register. Not sure if I have much to add at this point to become a contributing member so if anybody is hesitant to help I completely understand. I've been a noob on many other forums, and have also seen noobs come and go. So if anybody can help, that's great and I thank you ahead of time. If not, that's OK too.
I was completely torn between the new LG, an HTC One M9 and the Note 4........ I even considered the Nexus. The audio quality of the M7 that I had was and still is better than any other non-HTC phone on the market and it was really tough to convince myself to get something different. I wanted a big screen with great hardware. The Note 4 had all that except for the audio. The audio, speakers and headphone quality absolutely suck. I am terribly disappointed. I was going to see if HTC was going to release a version with a bigger display, I saw that it is a toned down version. If HTC made a 5.5-5.7" maxed out version like the smaller M9 I would have gotten it.
Now, I've rooted this phone and I've gone through all the steps of installing V4A and no matter what I do it does not function at all. The problem I see is that my phone upgraded to Lollipop. In order to properly install V4A the SELinux mode needs to be set to permissive. There was an app (I forget the name of it offhand) that could change the mode, unfortunately it is not compatible with Lollipop. Without changing the mode to permissive I cannot properly install V4A.
I've searched through this forum a couple times over and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Is there another way to change this mode? What about recommendations for one of the custom ROM's that has V4A in it? I'm really open to any suggestions. I'm really fed up with this phone telling me what volume level is enough. I use this phone for music all the time and the stock equalizer automatically cuts the volume down to the highest equalizer setting. I can hear the difference, when using Spotify if I skip to the next song the stock equalizer (SoundAlive) takes a split second to kick in and you can hear how it should sound without SoundAlive. For all this Note 4 has, I'm really starting to regret getting this over the M9. It would be a great phone if I can get some volume back as well as some decent sound quality.

You need custom kernel to set mode from enforced to permissive... or google there is away to enable V4A to work with stock kernel that involve romtool.
This phone imo is top notch in all areas but I agree with you on the audio quality, stock music player that is. I use PowerAmp and all of that changes, even through the phones tiny speaker. My suggestion is to revert to stock and simply install the app if you're just looking to improve audio quality. Just my 2 cents.

I've heard many good things about PowerAmp but as far as I know that's only applicable to downloaded songs. It doesn't work with Spotify.

I'd suggest using the Emotion r14 kernel. That will get you permissive and a much snappier phone as well as having tweaks specific to sound. It supports Faux 123 sound on top of everything else. You should find a link to the kernel in the original android development area.

Thank you for the recommendation. I'll check it out. If I can get the permissive setting I shouldn't have any issues getting V4A installed. Everything else that comes with that kernel is an added bonus.
OK, that kernel worked great! I was able to install V4A almost flawlessly. No disrespect to any of the equalizer apps out there but V4A is by far the best audio control I've used. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to get this installed. That kernel did make the phone a little "snappier" as you put it. I haven't had a chance to mess with Synapse, I might just leave well enough alone as it's now working he way I want. Thanks again.

Can someone help me with the tunein radio not working with viper audio?
I changed my phone to permissive, and added the 2 zips somebody uploaded that changed the build prop. But i still cannot get viper and tunein to work together. Maven Pro audio works great as does iheart with viper.

According to this it's an issue with Tunein. It is a little old so not sure if there is a different issue since then, so take it for what it's worth.

Stupid question...
Is there any way to increase the base volume level on the Incredible? Listening to podcasts via the speaker phone is sometimes challenging in certain environments. I would like to be able to increase the levels if possible.
Anyone know if this is possible?

There was an app called LVH (Louder Volume Hack) in the market that I purchased when I had my Eris that worked PERFECTLY for this on CM5/CM6/Stock Sense. But the app doesn't appear to work on my Incredible. Which sucks Because I LOVED being able to crank the headset/bluetooth volume.. I would love to see something like this working on the inc..
!EDIT! Apparently I just didn't try enough times because I got the app working on the official OTA 2.2! The app appears to work but I do not think the volume is actualy being increased.. gonna try the 4.0 Beta.

LVH Apparently Doesn't work for DINC!

Purchased the LVH from Meltus, thinking that with root, I'd have no problem using it, but while it did run, and say it had successfully pushed the proper values, it didn't seem to increase the volume. I wrote the dev, & he told me it doesn't work with the Droid Incredible :-(
His site: http://androidaudiohacks.com, does have disclaimers and info indicating the app is for earlier phones like the G1, and Saphire, and doesn't work on Droid, or branded android phones, but not clear enough for idiots like me! He also said in his reply that Google had locked access to the volume files on later phones, and so increasing the volume requires modifying the kernel.
Incredibles are known for blowing out their own speakers. I recommend avoiding this.my speaker is a little blown just with normal use. I now play audio 2 clicks from max volume.

I've been looking for the same thing. Took a trip a week ago and could not hear a movie with my earphones on the plane ride. I just found a new post last night in the "themes and apps" sub forum titled Audio/Equalizer. It has a this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=783737 to a DSP equalizer you can install. You must be rooted. Works well for me with a modest gain in volume and improved sound quality. You can simply put the zip in the root directory of your sd card and use clockwork mod to install the zip. (you may have to toggle signature verification off first). Just make sure to do a Nandroid backup first in case you encounter a problem.

I didn't know about the speaker issue. My interest has been more focused on use with headphones, and in-call, which is a different speaker than the one I believe you are referring to.
I noticed the sound from the Incredible rear speaker was quite a bit higher fidelity than on other HTC phones I've owned, which may account for its being a bit more fragile, but that's just speculation. I'll be a lot more careful with it.

If you are just referring to Music / Video audio volume you might want to check out this app.. I haven't tried it.. I'm running CM10 which sounds great...

I can understand the stock mentality but with a couple adjustments you will get a better than stock - stock experience...
Personally If I wanted to stock-ish, I would flash the stock rom, root, install trinitystable35 kernel, install trickster mod, adjust headphone volume only and then set superuser to deny any root attempt by default without a prompt...

If you wanted to add that to your build.prop, you could download Build Prop Editor from the Playstore, create a key named ro.config.vc_call_vol_steps, and give it the value 10. At your own risk, of course.
Do they even test this stuff? It's beyond unacceptable to have a speaker this inaudible. Makes me want to throw my phone every time I try to watch a video.

Download to computer. Extract with 7zip. Move entire media folder to sd and replace/merge current media folder. Might get warning staying device cannot play some files. Ignore. They work.

I also has got version 4.2.1 and I stock ROM is just fine for me, I never liked CM, but I have got root. A have got problem with volume too, do not hear SMS in my pocket at all.
I did not find the solution, Volume+ boost app still do not work with JB (hopefully will work soon) and Speaker Boost still "stop working", even the old versions.
So, do you know any other solution?

i had the same issue when i upgraded my stock S3 to 4.1 -- the speaker volume was very low in Nav and music players.
Increasing the "Media" volume fixed it for me.
click on the volume button (up or down) and then click on the settings icon at the end of the slider. Now slide the "Media" volume to the highest.
Everything is back to normal -- in nav audio and speaker phone etc.
If you have not already tried this, you can give it a try ... it might fix it!

I had got problems with ringing and notifications, so this is not solution for me, BUT found another one, Ringtone Maker.
I have upgraded to cm10.1 with jb 4.1.2.....I did the nightly builds for 01-02-2013...
the volume is horrendous.... even worse than stock. I don'tknow what else to try. hopefully it will be fixed in the next night builds......full speakerphone volume soundslikeit's coming from the headsetat full volume.... and the headset volume at full is barely audible even in s quiet room. I turned on the boost in strings but it did nothing. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So I thought I would give a quick post on my GNEX setup and tell you there is hope for people who love music and hate teh GNEX stock sound/volume.
Go to AOKP.co and get the latest AOKP MR1 Build 2 for your phone model. This is 4.2.1 you will need to wipe coming from anything else (yes a full wipe) treat your phone as you would your butt...You dont want your phone to stink trust me... I would also suggest you visit TWRP's official web site and use your WUG's Nexus tool kit (advanced) to flash this recovery FIRST and Foremost. (Yes I put hings out of order sometimes to make sure your reading)
Get the suggest GAPPS from the AOKP post...
Go grab the latest lean kernel 5.8 for JB 4.2...I love me some Franco but so far his are experimental and Lean is 100% stable (also rocks battery life as much as can be expected on early 4.2.1 builds.
Go grab the AC!D Audio 5.0 (for most phones) I use the Noozoxide add-on (they suggest walkman player but I prefer the DSP so things like Pandora etc will get the benefit.
Flash them in that order and always wipe your dalvik between each package (some people are gonna flame me but hey this works and I shouldnt have to answer a single question afterward) After you reboot and login to Google stuff... First go to settings--> sound-->music effects and select Noozoxide or awesome beats (nothing wrong with either one..as long as you installed it) I have both installed and they wont break anything as long as you dont set them both up...you can switch Ill tell you how later. Afterward go to your app drawer and open the one you chose.
For Noozoxie selct line out audio monitor--> check sof-cliiping---> selct HARD in signal strength...Check deliver natrual sound enabled. First change the digital preset to Audiophile...you can tweak this once you realize its just basically an eqaulizer. The last option VSUR can be check and select studio if you experience rattleing or have garbage headphones... The other options are for built in speaker and bletooth...
You do similar things for amazing beats please feel free to play with them as its really based on how your ears hear/ headphone quality.
If you try one and want to try the other one make sure you uncheck every option in the one that you tried...go back in settings-->sound-->music effects and check the music FX thats built in to android...go into google music play a track go to options at the top right corner select music effects slide the one/off button on then off...go back to sounds-->music effects-->select the one you didnt try the first time... then go to your app drawer and teak the respective app while google music is playing your favorite JAM...

Yes you are right thats why I didnt give any specific DSP EQ setup information...also if you cant put statements in here they wouldnt have included a box to check that says this is a question...
And furthermore if you dont have Ac!d Audio or the beats+xlouder mod installed your credentials as a DJ are very questionable...If we wanted to be told how something should sound stock we would own iGarbage...

So you think you know everything...If it were possible to pit your flat response Sennheisers (cheaply made of plastic) against my v-moda M-100's you would lose everytime...sorry Bro but the fact that you take your phone and another music player with you is cumbersome at best...I understand that you think your doing the best but if you tried AC!D Audio instead of ass-uming you got this you would be extremely surprised...the point of the thread wasn't to tell you what rom it was to tout the sound quality improvment of the audio mods...I just tell people to use aokp cause its 100% working with this and the audio mod is awesome...Personally I dont blame you for not using your phone as an MP3 player...if I had to deal with low volume stock non-sense I would probably use something else as well. Please forgive me for thinking the point of XDA was to improve our phones in some way...Now I know I should just naysay things I havn't even tried based on a complete lack of information.

And I don't listen to music on my phone OR another music player, you'll never get the EQ right. Plus, the Sennheiser HD 25s are regarded as the DJ-standard headphones so I'll be sticking with them for now

The concensus for the GNEX is the sound sucks...Also if you havn't tried any of this then please keep your wisdom to yourself...I have never in my life tried to help people jsut to get a bunch of rude flames from trolls...Oh wait yea I use the internet everyday... I can say with 100% truth that this audio mod is better than stock...you can even decide not to tweak any equalizer and its better...there isn't even a doubt that this is better sounding audio...this isnt just some BS poweramp program this improves sound quality accross your phone period...
I don't listen music in my phone.
CM 10.1 is best for me.
Franco's kernel is pretty stable for me.
Ondemand is the best governor
Orion is the best ringtone.

Of course not you mong! I have my car, which is set up professionally for my sound/music taste, and I don't have to take public transport. On the odd occasion where I do have to catch a bus/taxi (e.g. I've had a bit too much to drink) I just don't listen to music. I converse with my peers as opposed to sit in silence nodding my head. You can sit there with your phone but it will NEVER be as good as a proper setup so, for that reason, I don't bother. Why should I listen to music when it's nothing like the artist originally intended?
End of the day, you think you've got it right so well done. All I'm saying is 1. This has NOTHING to do with Q&A (I don't remember seeing a thread asking for help with the perfect audio setup), and 2. Everything is subjective so it kinda makes this whole thread redundant. It falls into the same category as the 'This is the best ROM setup' threads

And you can keep being lack luster...Its about the audio mod not the rom...I only posted AOKP (saying this again) because other roms have issues and it doesnt. So I have been flashing Roms since the Droid 1 and I know quite a bit...More than you I dont know...I have no way to test your knowledge or lack there of...Also Interactive is pretty good...on-demand tends to have a sluggish wake up when coming out of sleep...I suppose if I had created a governer called bigwanginaymouth I could tout that and have everyones mouth wattering ...pun intended.

1) you recommend a toolkit, worst idea ever. lets have people mod their phone with no knowledge of what they are doing. thats a great idea.

All I can say is that Ac!d Audio is not at all subjective...Its not even in the same ballpark...Its not somethign that most people are going to attribute to a placebo and for people who dont listen to music on there phone for whatever rediculous reason......it also improves notification and ringtone volume so you might actually hear a call/text from 30 feet away...what is your F'ing problem...if you cant take a backup and try something new you really really really dont need to be here at all. And thats the most truthful truth (I would go as far to say non-subjective definitive statement) that has been made here today. <---Just call me a cowboy for not thanking Samsung and Google for making the audio of the Galaxy Nexus the saddest attempt ever made...

Hey, I'm all for giving something a go but this isn't something I have any need for. If I wasn't game for flashing something I wouldn't be using Android! May I also ask why not listening to music on a PHONE (key word there) is ridiculous? My phone is a communications tool for my work and personal life, so it's primary use is calls (obviously), SMS, email, Twitter, Facebook and Internet access. I don't game on it, I don't listen to music on it.
I don't need a high volume ringer cause my phone is always in my pocket (not 30 feet away - what's the point of a mobile phone that you don't keep on you?) so for me this guide is useless. I'm sure some may find it useful if you re-wrote it to make a bit more sense.
My ORIGINAL issue was it has nothing to do with Q&A - where is the question you've answered? If it's a guide then it should really go in the thread for the app in question to help users of that app set their phones up or, at a push, General for Nexus owners
As a professional audio engineer, sounds like to me like you're being fooled simply by volume and compression. No, I have not installed and listened to the programs you're talking about. I'm simply judging them by the names of the settings you're saying to tweak. Hard signal strength to me means loud (most things sound better when they're louder), soft clipping means it's allowing the system to slightly peak (distort) while placing a brick wall limiter in the audio path to allow the audio to be a loud as possible without actually giving the listener a distorted listening experience. This what what radio stations do. I would guess that if you were to take the headphone jack out to a recording interface and record the audio coming out, it would be nothing but a solid blocked waveform with no dynamic range.
Do your ears often feel fatigued after listening to music with these settings?

The top waveforms are vinyl and the bottom are from the CD. Notice the clear peaks and valleys in the vinyl waveforms compared to the hard flat edges seen on the cd waveforms. Thank you for your post. I appreciate the information. I don't understand what you mean by being fooled though. Your ears hear what they hear. You are 100% correct about everything the only thing I can tell you is using your phone with headphones (preferably B-class driver CANS) sounds really good. The reason for Hard somcpression and sof-clipping specifically with this device is the audio is so low to begin with if you can force the DAC to go louder these settings sound good possible because of the lack of vloume already on the phone. I do tend to turn things down a few notches now to make it comfortable for longer periods. Before the phone would fatigue my ears and sound terrible because I was forced to turn it up all the way just to enjoy the music. (rocking out if you will) This audio plug actually gives the device responsive bass...The DSP settings do use virtualization tricks to make the sound more pleasant however the untweakable sound engines installed are very real and use some beats,some dobly, xlouder from sony, etc etc etc. The best advice I can give you is just flash it ...after a backup of course. As long as you rom is up to date it should work and I would really appreciate if reverred opinions from sound engineers would lend some credability to the post.

Hey this post is about teaking lemons and making lemondade...Honestly the phone is awesome even for an old Gal except audio. Will this mod be as good as a professional setup? NO! But why hinder people who have the phone and want to use it to play music while they do (whatever). No one should judge me because I listen to music on it instead of exclusively on something that cost thousands of dollars. That being said...I am at a loss for words why no one has went over to:

When it takes 5-10 minutes to make a backup on CWM or TWRP and flash something that you could use while ..(lets say camping) to listen to tunes pleasantly instead of barely being able to drown out the wildlife noises. Discalimer: The MOD will not force you to listen to music exclusively on your smart phone. It might however open up narrow minds to the the ability of the phone to be far superior to an iPOD. So please try this, even if you do there is not need to revert because it doesnt break or take away from anything it only betters your device should you get stuck in an elevator with someone you hate maybe you can make there annoying voice disappear.
What I can say 100% is this is BETTER than stock period. There is no question and unless you have tried it and didn't like it then you can't contribute here. It MIGHT be the BEST audio setup for the phone right now...will we have something better in the future? I don't know but it will probably be AC!D AUDIO 6.0 (the updated MOD).
And just to clarify I could not give two douces if anyone thanks me...I don't know you, will never know you, and really would refuse to shake most of your hands if I did meet you because no one has done anything to help in this thread so far. People are so rediculous that they havnt even been searching for something to fix the poor audio that I have been crawling forums since Nov 2011 when I stood in line for 3 hours just to say AWwwwwww...when I fired up the music player. Now it is acceptable and I want to pass on the good word. All I have gotten is flak from DJ's and forum etiquette gurus.

By "fooled" I mean, listen to a song you're unfamiliar with at a low-moderate volume, then listen to it with just a 3-5db gain... you'll think the slightly louder version sounds a lot better. Try it out.
Along those same lines, why do you think the general, non-audiophile, public thinks Beats headphones are the greatest thing since ice cream? Aside from them being the trendy accessory to ones wardrobe, people swear by their sound. I can say that I have listened to several Beats headphones, do they sound bad? No, I'd venture to say they sound good but not great. I'd never own a pair and I certainly would never use them in the studio. So why do so many people think they're so awesome? Because they are designed to have an over-hyped bass and treble response. People hear hyped bass and think "DANG! This is pumpin!" then they notice the extra treble and say "wow, these sound crisp!" They're being fooled and they're also being forced to listen to the music in a way that wasn't intended.
You were dogging something one else for using "flat-response" Sennheiser's, remember? The fact is, flat response headphones, earphones, speakers, and studio monitors is what audiophiles go after. Flat doesn't mean dull or boring, it means clean, pure, and untainted. With a flat response speaker you're hearing what the audio truly sounds like, which then allows you to make better adjustments to the audio. Think about it, if I mix a song using Beats headphones and then you play it back in your car, they first thing you'd say is "Where's the bass?" Well, my ears were fooled by the over-hyped bass on the Beats that I thought it had plenty! You'd then notice how the track doesn't sound very clean and crisp, why? Because once again the over-hyped treble of the Beats threw my ears off and made me think the high end was where it needed to be and any more adjustments to it would just make it sound tinny.

I haven't seen any thread which disables the noise suppresion on HTC one hence i made this mod. On M7 by default the Noise suppression is enabled and when we move the phone at certain angles, the other party wont hear anything what we talk. This mod disables the Noise suppression. Mod is well tested on insertcoin sense ROM[4.22] and it works flawless but again it is only me who tested it.
I am attaching a flashable zip for testing purposes! Download the attachment and flash through recovery. There is no need to wipe anything! Incase if you want to revert to stock, i have also included the stock file at downloads!
NOTE: At present this mod is only for deodexed roms! After positive feedback, I will make the mod for odexed also along with guide. Dont try on any other variants as i have not tested.

EVERY time i talk with my phone held to my shoulder, my fiance whines about not being able to hear me. Granted, she just bought an iphone 5 and hers does the same thing when talking to me.
I just switched to a 4.3 google Play edition rom last night....is the noise suppression enabled on these rom's or only on Sense?

Glad that you liked it. I was facing the same problem and thats the reason i made this mod. I am not really sure about noise suppression on GE as i am not a big fan of that and never used it. Hope someone drops a feedback here!
I have definitely noticed the noise suppression problem using the GPE 4.3 rom's......have considered flashing this, but was hoping for some other guinea pigs to chime in first!

appreciate it thanks, but not sure if anything can be done, this issue has been around for a while on all bases and ROMs ( I have no popping or crack listening to music or watching videos only during phone calls there is the occasional pop or crackle in my ear during the call) so not sure if it can be fixed, but if you need info just search for HTC One popping crackle sounds and you'll find numerous links. It seems some say its the beats app causing it or NFC but even if I disable both its still there, others say its the sound amplifier causing it, or the noise cancellation etc. so its a bit difficultto say exactly what the cause is or how to fix (if possible), Again thanks

this was a case similar to samsung phone where you hear knocking sounds while on call but it got rectified by disabling the noise suppression. I did hear sometimes and did not find time to check in the code. But i am sure, it should be with noise suppression. Actually in the code, i did not modify the noise suppression fully and sometimes it will come back. All i did was passed on the false boolean value prior to start a call. And there is a code for restoring the nosie suppression in case if it is disabled. I will disable it fully and then check.

Have you noticed any negative side-effects though?
I remember when noise cancellation first came out for mobile phones quite some years ago, it was a big thing and many article on the news was covering it and how it worked. Then it became standard.
Now it's becoming a problem... I wonder if HTC maybe needs to fix the algorithm rather than us disabling it?
Anyway, I haven't had an issue yet, so I'm not sure I'm a good tester. Might report back after trying it out for a bit.

I did not face any problem to be honest and been using the mod since the day one. I disabled the noise suppression completely yesterday and still testing and so far i have not faced any problems though. I dont know what side affects it might bring, except you will hear some background noise..thats all.

Yea fine. No worries. The guide part suggests you will keep this free to use for everyone? I am hoping this to be a future Viper Tweak which could be toggled on/off but since you found this method, it's probably yours. Well, if Jan and Turge do consider it, they will contact you on the matter anyway.
Just as a note for potential ViperOne users passing by:
ViperOne 2.1.0.0 phone.apk is not modified and this mod will be no problem to flash, also the back-to-stock zip.
ViperOne 2.1.0.0 with Red Theme or DarkOne Theme phone.apk is themed and if you flash this mod and/or revert back to stock, it will still function but you will lose theming on that apk.

INSTALLATION
You can install this two ways, your choice:
1. Download and flash the included zip using your custom recovery. To go back to stock, download and flash the revert to stock zip included.
2. Download the zip. Extract the file in the zip (mixer_paths.xml ). In System/Etc, rename the file with a .bak so that you will have it if you want to revert back to stock. Place the .xml file from the zip in the same System/Etc folder and reboot.

So sorry for not getting back. I used all day today and it was awesome. I made calls on speaker and watched YouTube and everything was perfect. Really great mod and I will apologize for all the edge users. Can't believe no one said thank you. Pretty sad actually

My remark wasn't targeted towards you stu your a great person. It was for the other 105 people who are using this, who wouldn't even have it if it wasn't for you requesting it and supplying the stock files so i could mod them. Selfishness is part of human nature, but the level of it in this thread is enough to feed all of population in NY. I'll stop my whining now, you get the point. .lol ?

Right but i would not have done it if it wasn't for you. I dont have this device, therefore can't test the mod, or do i need to have it. I dont like putting things out there that i have not tested. I do this for my own devices and share it, then if anyone requests it i do it for them also. Everyone in between is just lucky. I could have easily pmed it to you and called it a day. So yea it has a lot to do with you and they should click the ty button in every one of your posts just as much as mine buddy?..Have a great week stu...

I just downloaded for my TMob S6 Edge model and about to give this a whirl. I'm a strong Viper advocate and wasn't sure if your mod will happily coexist. Will Nandroid first then get back. Much appreciate your contribution.

I use it with viper also and it works great but i use the medium sound or even the stock sound if yiu use viper. The loud is a bit too much and it may cut out for some...glad u like it

Not sure what that is. Its working for others so cant be the zip. Try downloading the zip again and make sure you have the newest twrp..

No it should matter. U said its failing in recovery right? Trey extracting the files in the zip and replace yours in system/etc

Turns out I'm an idiot. Was a bit loaded on vicodin yesterday and failed to realize that this is the S6 Edge forum, not the S6 Edge+ forum.
Well, it works in that it enables the handset speaker, but in doing so it seems to disable the main (bottom) speaker. So I only have sound coming from the handset speaker. Unfortunately, reverting to stock doesn't seem to have fixed the main speaker problem...so no I have no sound lol. I'll see if I can pull the xml file out of another ROM or something.
Seems like a bad ass idea though.
Edit: Actually, this only seems to be the case with the youtube app. Everything else is working fine as far as I can tell. I'll mess with the app and see if I can figure anything out.
Edit 2: It's not the youtube app, I think maybe it's a certain protocol or something. System sounds and recorded video works fine, for example, but anything I've played from youtube only comes out of the earpiece. On Facebook, some videos play sound through both speakers, some only from the earpiece.
