Hi everybody. Has anybody got any idea if there is any app which works as a scroll button on the edge screen? could be cool and also quite useful to scroll for example web pages by sliding your thumb just on the edge screen and not on the main screen. i was trying to find something like that but no success. thanks
Yo. This would be dope if it could be done!

Hi all,
Looking at my lovely Rhodium's start menu, I just can't understand why HTC has placed three icons on a row and not four. By looking at it, I think there's more than enough space to add an extra icon.
Anyone smart found a way to do this? In addition, why do we have to scroll downwards? Why not 'flick' through pages (aka the iPhone does, sorry for using this word here ), either up and down, or from left to right.
Now you must swipe and the menu 'rolls', but I much rather had a menu which I could flick and a 'second page' would appear. This would make scrolling a lot easier and faster!
Have been searching XDA for ages now, but I haven't found any solution to this yet. Anyone any ideas?
this works on TP2

Hi all,
I'd really like to know whether setting quick toolbar + full screen browsing into the stock browser does hide the software button of ICS. I mean: does it really have a fullscreen browsing that way, can I use the whole screen?
A screenshot would be really appreciated!
You know what: I own a Galaxy Note and I cannot make up my mind whether to change it or not for a Galaxy Nexus. I have an ipad2 too and maybe a note is too much. But I like big screen and maybe a nexus with its 4.65 screen it's the perfect size. However, browsing on a 4.65 screen with ICS software buttons, it's like browsing on my old Galaxy S2 in terms of visible screen. Thus browsing in real full screen would be great!
Thanks in advance
The softbuttons are still visible in fullscreen mode.
There's the labs feature quick controls which hides the address bar, also a labs feature to hide the notification bar, however nothing removes the soft buttons, they just turn into dots and dim.

Thanks for your answer!
Then the best I can achieve is to remove address bar and notification bar.
Such a pity!

Who knows, maybe one day devs will be able to hide them, like it happens for videos.
That would be great! I mean: when you have the quicktoolbar, they could insert there a back button and we could have the whole screen estate to browse!
That's what I'm hoping happens, if eventually someone manages to get them to hide from a swipe down then reappear with a swipe up or press of the power button or something, It would be awesome
Not, until we can access the bookmark via Quick Control as well.
Currently, when you enable Quick Control, you need to long-press the back button to access the bookmark.
There is no other way ...

Actually, if you go to the new tab shortcut, the bookmarks tab is in the top right next to the new tab and options button.
Does anybody know how to enable the onscreen menu buttons? For example, in chrome on the Galaxy Nexus the menu button is shown as 3 dots in the upper right hand corner. The actual menu button on the Galaxy Note 2 is so hard to hit using one hand but the on screen one is so easy.
Try this:

Thank you but that's not quite what I'm looking for. That thread shows how to add the on screen buttons on the bottom. I don't want the onscreen buttons, I just want the menu button that appears in the apps in the top right corner.
EDIT: I figured it out, I'm going to update the OP.

Has anyone figured out how to enable the 3 dot vertical menu button on the Verizon Galaxy Note 2? I had CM10 on my S3 and its driving me nuts not having it on the Note 2! Any input would GREATLY be appreciated!
Hi Guys,
The bottom of my screen (about 5mm) has become unresponsive to touch. In previous ROM's I've got around this by adding a navbar to the bottom of the screen which I don't use (as in the soft key buttons).
I've just installed a Sense 5 ROM (InsertCoin) and really like the feel of it, however I can't find any way to get the navbar at the bottom of the screen. Obviously as it's a sense rom, there is nothing in the settings, and I've tried putting qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 into the build.prop file but that has also not worked :/
Does anyone have a solution to this or a way to cut the bottom 5mm of the visible screen? Or even better, a way to get the bottom of the screen working?
Cheers,
Tom
Chrome has a nifty free tool called Split Screen where you can have two URL's side by side on a single page.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/split-screen/eachfleknamlcepmplpdghagngjfjkin?
Very handy for language translation or to keep a series of parallel bookmarks for related items.
Is something like this available for our tablets ?
You can simply load two Chrome browsers in MultiWindow mode.

From the homescreen, swipe open the multi window bar, hit the Chrome icon and drag it over towards the middle of the screen and let go. As it is the first one you are opening it will fill the whole screen. Swipe the bar open again and then drag a second Chrome icon over the screen but keep your finger on it... as you swipe over the first half of the screen, one side of the screen will turn blue... if you want it open on that side just let go of the icon. If you keep dragging the icon over to the second half of the screen, the second part will then turn blue and you can drop it there and Chrome will open up a second time on that side. Hope this is clear enough
