Um as the title says, for some reason my phone has been eating up a lot of RAM lately.
I went to the Application manager and calculated the total RAM Including both, the Running services as well as the Cached Processes and all of it Totals up to no more than 400 MB.
Even if it used somewhere around 1 GB of RAM itd still be quite okay But it's usually over 1.7 GB and even after killing all the running apps it only goes down by 200 Megs at most. So it'd still be using up 1.5 Gigs.
Can anyone tell new what's wrong here? And if possible, help me fix it?
I'm using Note 4 Mini v8 on N750 Variant.
Thanks!

Did you wipe Dalvik & cache afther flashing the new Update..?
I Assume No.
Please do it and and use greenify & DS battery saver module in X posed
Use clean master to disable as many Auto start as you can & disable non using system apps which are recommended there in the app it self.
Note :Be careful while disabling system apps
Thanks!

Um Yep I did wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache after installation. I also wiped it again after I noticed the RAM usage.
I'm using Servicely which is similar to Greenify and I've also disabled almost every single system app that I don't need and that don't make the system unstable.
If you have any other tips then let me know please ^^ if not, that's okay. Thanks for taking the time! [emoji1]
It is normal. No matter how much installed RAM on your device android will use it up, and it's perfectly okay. Are you hoping to have much RAM but make android use it as least as possible?
As mentioned before, to prevent app run in the background use greenify.

In almost all Note4mini versions, i have faced high usage after debloating too.
God know y!
Maybe because of Note4 apps or mods etc and features that are added.
use ram cleaners occasionally with ignore list.
Hit Thanks if I helped and spread Cheers

Hello everyone.
I'm running Oxygen 2.0.1 with A2SD enabled.
My internal memeory seems to be almost completely full though i have nothing installed in it.
I cleared the cache a look through almost all my apps, but i really can't figure out why i have no space left.
Usually i have more than 100MB free space even with many more applications installed, so something must be using all my internal mem.
Do i have to clean my internal memory each time i flash a new ROM or something like that?
When you flash a new rom you do a factory reset and clear dalvik cache. As for your memory being almost full, depending on how the a2sd script works and what it puts onto the SD card, data can still install to internal memory. Like the dalvik cache. If you can, use a file manager to see what is using memory.

could you please tell me how i use a file manager to check what's using my memory?

Use root explorer. It will show the space available on each nand partition.

Okay thank you all guys.
I bought root explorer and look around a bit, and ofcause i came across the dalvik-cache.
The Dalvik-cache is nothing less than 85mb, which is pretty huge right?
is there any way i can shrink the case/is it possible that the cache contains information from my old rom, which does nothing else than using the space?
You could wipe it through recovery then reboot and see what it looks like then..

I have a problem similar to this, but I had installed Intercepter-NG, and forgot to tell the program to use my SD card, and it filled up the internal memory with logs.
Now I can't get to the logs, because I have lost my USB cable.
Is there a free program for the Galaxy Y S5360 that will let me look in Internal Memory and delete the logs??

You don't need your usb cable to browse your own phone
There are many free programs, search the play store for a file manager...
Uninstall some apps if you need to make space
Or...is there an option within this interceptor app to delete the logs directly?

Think this needs a review
Hi dude
I installed this ROM yesterday and was impressed by the way you have incorporated the system format while installing the ROM from recovery console - good job man
However, even after getting the ROM installed thrice post removing everything, I could not get the default file manager working (some choclate process force close)
Other than that, ROM is good, but i think it lags sometimes and fails to wake up when it sleeps
I installed apps like whatsapp kik skout and skype ( yes the playstore was working for me strangely) and the rom was performing good
Do have a look and see further on this
Have not checked on the wireless functions yet - bluetooth and wifi

I have a backup for 2.3.0 LiquidSmooth that works fine and reboots and everything.
I change a few settings such as:
-Overclock to 1350
-Change voicemail number
-Change Ringtones
-Edit the Navring
-Change the Alpha of the status and nav bar to 100%
-Update a few Data Apps from the market.
-Turn off Drymatic tiles.
-Set an Alarm
-And a few other tweaks I cant remember.
Then All of a sudden I try to Reboot and Bootloop (Ive waited 10 minutes before pulling the battery) Then I restore my backup and try the changes again and it does the exact same thing but if I dont make those changes it works fine.
Can someone Please explain to me what is going on. Im not stupid I have flashed many roms before but never seen something this strange where I dont even change the /system folder and it bootloops
(
I have restored just the /data floder with CMR and it booted up fine so it has to be soemthing in the /data folder
The phone works 100% on other roms
I have been trouble shooting for a few hours with no luck please help.
I have 7GB left in storage and the /system folder has 374mb left.
)
About 2 days later after This happened I decided to Try a different 4.2.2 ASOP rom, Axiom by DroidTh3ory. And after I got done setting it up the same thing happened D: Please help me.
Might not be the answer your looking for but i think its the overclock thats bootlooping your phone, might be a rouge app :-S i can't really say i havn't experienced anything like this before
Full wipe?

Okay I will try it again and do everything expect overclock and let you know if it happens again. My phone used to be able to handle 1350 mhz

I did a full wipe before Each one but I restored some data files for The live wallpaper,Homescreen, and Widgets when I flashed but It rebooted fine after that. It wasnt till I got to fine tuning my settings that I got a bootloop.
Hmm... you restored the backup and installed the kernel directly without rebooting? if your talking about trickstermod in data then i think yea it should reset someone knowing better than me can comment but as far as i know trickstermod can detect different kernels and it resets when you do flash a diff. kernel
Full wipes also an option when all else fails

Im talking about the Perforance controls built into roms settings now a days. All I do is bump it up to 1350 mHz I dont change kernels I just move the slider xD. For all these test Im on the kernels that come in the rom (Lean for Liquid not sure aobut Axiom though)
I just tested. I changed the Overclock value to 1350 mHz on my backup then rebooted so that isnt it.
Does anyone know of any Rouge apps that cause Bootloop problems after thier settings are changed or any settings in AOKP that cause bootloops
Nah, they should be the same i don't know it's a weird problem we have here LOL

I know right I have never had anything like this before I just restored my old rom but flashed a new kernel and it seems to be booting (Rebuilding davlik right now) but I dont know if that will fix it. I think having a phone that is almost 2 years old is really weighing down on the software.
Hope it works, sorry couldnt help that much.. you should try a flash install i know it's gonna be time consuming and a little work but it'll be worth it in the end
It seems to be working now here is a Screenshot of my homescreen to say thanks for helping. Just ask if you want a walk through on how to build it.

About a week ago I installed the VILLUMINATI Unofficial version of Cyanogenmod 11, which gave me Android 4.4.1. I've had no problems with it so far until I tried to enable the ART runtime. I enabled it and it started up alright, but after the boot process gapps kept crashing. I tried looking through the thread and didn't see anything (unless I missed it), and tried re-downloading and re-flashing the gapps, but to no avail. I switched back to Dalvik runtime and everything went back to normal. I was hoping someone had a fix for this so I could save a little extra battery and make my phone run a bit faster with ART. Thanks for your time.
what gapps are you using?

The problem must be coming from the gapps you installed ...what gapps are you using? It might not have the google apps that are compatible with ART
Use the PA mini modular gapps...(sorry I can't give you the link since I don't have 10 posts -__- Lol)
I recommend this specific one because the full & google stock gapps has had a history of causing some issues..

The only way I was able to get ART to run without force closes, was to reboot to recovery as soon as you select the ART runtime. Then wipe both cache and dalvik cache. Then reboot. I had zero force closes this way.
Also remember ART is fairly new so some apps may not work correctly.
