Samsung sgh-i900 (omnia) firmware upgrade query

Does anyone happen to know if you can upgrade the firmware only on the omnia as I have heard that battery life is improved with the latest version. I don't really want to go trying to upgrade the entire rom if possible, Ive put new roms (cheers schapps) onto my old qtek9100 and tytn but am not so confident with the samsung. Any advice?

Hang on, never mind, I think mine is on the latest version according to the version code.

Omnia i900 Firmware update failed!
Today SAMSUNG South Africa released finaly the long awaited firmware update
(to fix short batterie life etc.) http://samsungblog.co.za/downloads
installed exactly after manual ...than on the end off the upgrade..

"Switch USB to Phone" (this should finish the upgrade)

now I have a brick!!! anybody any idea???

I'm not very good in russian language and it is very hard to find any information about s5230 in that forum. So maybe there is any news on s5230 and windows mobile or android?

Windows Mobile is really NOT POSSIBLE, it is possible only on Windows Mobile phones by default. I have Windows Mobile since 2006 and I know all about it.
I have no Android phone, so I am nothing-knownable about Android and Linux, but if it is possible, it will be very slowww. My friend has S5230 and it lags on very simple it's OS. Android - NOT good idea. I think.

[Q] Issue with 3g on Miui rom (Dk Oister)

Hi all - ofcourse DATA CONNECTION - just forgot the term
My DHD has been running several roms now, and i really would like to use Miui for a while. It just wont let me connect to my mobile network. I get reception alright, but no internet connection.
What am i doing wrong? I am danish using Oister (3's network) and it connects to 3 Dk which should be the same?

Question Red magic 6 tencent enable nfc ?

Hi I bought a red magic 6 tencent edition from China it came with global rom n all however I cannot find any way to turn nfc on I tried multiple apps that check for nfc and they all say that nfc is present but turned off any ideas to turn it on?
Even google pay says it has a nfc in it but when i try to use pay to turn nfc on or set default payment option it does nothing

i have tencent edition too flashed to global rom, i dont think the CN set came with NFC, since i dont have it.

I think it's present but part disabled somehow I mean even Google pay thinks it's present but turned off and many apps I tried that detect NFC say it's present but off

I think the cn version don't have the hardware of NFC. You can watch the chinese YouTuber's video of dismantle CN version RM6.
