My Galaxy woes!!

I recently bought Galaxy S from UAE..It does not have android market..Whenever i hav tried to install it, it force closes. If by chance it does install, if force closes whenever i click on anyone of the applications for downloading...
Needless to say i hav tried EVERY damn trick in the book to get android market working properly on my mobile. PLS HELPPPPP!!!
Also i wud b grateful if any1 can post the apk file for particle storm live wallpaper, as i cnt access the market.

Why dont you just flash a custom ROM. It will give you Market pre-installed. I recomend DOC's ROM. Fast & reliable.

you can also root your phone and put clockworkmod on it.
and than you can flash market on your phone.

First of all..forget everything we said. GO to the the Q&A section and read everythng.its all detailed..Only after sound knowledge should you modify your phone..else you might regret a silly mistake and get panicked. take your time to understand the term rooting, flashing ROMs, what are ROM..etc.

Maybe you could just root your device maybe with super one click, and the install market enabler to change for example to US sim if it still happens?

It's been 10 days and you still haven't got market working?

or just do this dude...
Check your IMEI number by dialing *#06# then
dial *#272*IMEI# and then select XSG... this will hard reset your phone so do a backup in recovery mode (shot down your phone completely then press up volume + menu + (last) power button then release when you see the Samsung logo)...

[Q] How to root my Arc S & what's the best rom out there ?

-I want to root my device, so what's the safest way to root it ?
(explain the method here or give me links!)
-and what Rom do u prefer to use in my phone after rooting it ?
(custom rom or stock rom, but all features most work perfectly and the phone should work smooth)
I am running ICS 4.0.3 and My phone is Middle East version & it's important that the rom that I will put in my device fully support (Arabic language) like the original one does!

Follow this thread and download the zip file, read the on screen instructions and just run the .bat file and you'll have root..
And for the rom, try Arconium ICS or Mooded ICS.. They both support Arabic languages!

my phone now rooted successfully!
I am thinking in staying with the orginal stock software (the original SE ICS 4.0.3)
So now I just rooted the device, and I will try to free up the internal memory
note: I was facing some application hanging when I try to use them before rooting the device like :
-Phone
_Contacts
-Xperia Gallery
-Messaging
So will freeing up internal memory space solve this hanging problem ?

Glad you got root!
It wont.. The apps freezing is due to Stock ICS and freeing up internal memory simply doesn't help it.. Tweaking should help a bit or try different rom.. If you prefer stock rom, then try supercharging the rom using V6 SuperCharger script and using that script try to bulletproof those apps you mentioned! It'll help a lot and make the rom even more smoother and faster..

after I rooted the phone everything went normally but after I moved junk Apps

my phone won't start again, it hangs at xperia logo (I keep hearing that new sms messages are coming ) but the phone still hangs on xperia logo
what to do ?

I fixed the hangs on xperia logo problem (thanks God)

You should be aware coz the apps mentioned were oly for GB roms!
But you're in ICS!

Dead trigger and Trueancestor v1.6 LE

Hello,
I installed the TrueAncestor V1.6 LE rom on my Xperia Play and it works really great !
The only problem I have is I can't install Dead Trigger from Goole Play. It says my device is not compatible with this version ...
So i tried installing it with an apk i got somewhere else, and the game loads fine into the menu, but when I start the mission I got an infinite loading screen and the phone doesn't work anymore, only way to reboot is to remove the battery.
Can anybody tell me why it does'nt work anymore (it worked great with the official stock rom), and tell me what to do to get it working.

i found the apk and data else where and it worked however i can't post links due to it being a kinda "warez" site
You need to edit your build.prop it has already been mentioned in the DeadTrigger thread in Xperia Play Themes And Apps

try this file.its stock 2.3.4 .58 enhanced build.prop
Just extract it and then replace the build.prop in /system with this build.prop

In fact I was using the wrong apk (V1.01 instead of V1.1.1), so now it works with the good one.
I will still keep youy build.prop in case I need it in the futrue.

Can any one tell me nfs mw hanges my phone when i close it after 10 seconds my phone hangs and have to remove battery for restart help any one i have also upgraded my firmware to xxamcd but no luck

Plss dnt make new thread ... there is already thread for game issues in quetion ans sub forum ... use class 10 memry card ... it has more speed dan internal memry ...use gamebooster 2 .... and greenify to stop all apps this all worked for me ... this que is decs many times soo pls search befor posting it ...

well...try first to factory reset your phone...and after that...there is some chance u will not get same problem again...by the way if u r using cracked version...probably its gonna have some issue...buy it properly from play store..

i tried this step
- unlock boatloader
- flash ftf file using flashtool
- flash recovery from doomlords
- flash superuser
- reboot
and wallah i get superuser access and root and can install other tweak and mod

First boot, wizard is stop, keyboard stop, gsf.login stop and then system.ui is stop... but flash ftf, without flash rom, flash recovery, flash superuser, reboot,
first boot ok and have superuser acess and rooted

i think i have fixed the rom flash this zip and gapps and do a clean install then let me kno
Make sure u flash the files in this order
1)Rom
2)Fix
3)Gaaps
No Reboots in between them

Im sory for late reply, yes i try.. But it cannot booting... Fresh install.. Wipe all data.. Try for 3 times, also download 2, incase bad download.. Something missing with boot
