Thanks for keeping us N910A users updated with the latest in stock roms. I figure it's a longshot but worth asking, would it be possible to get the older KitKat firmware N910AUCU1BNK3 aka NK3?

Yes, exactly. There is a performance issue with the Gear VR and Lollipop and NK3 is required for the Gear VR, it won't work with N910AUCU1ANIE. That would be excellent if you could.

Hello,
I just got this phone recently from Sprint, and rooted it, but I don't like all the samsung garbage and the sprint logo when I boot up along with the sound.
Is there a fully stable replacement without all the prepackaged garbage that I can install? It seems difficult to find anything current for the SM-G920P. I'm currently running Android 5.1.1 on it.
I just got my s6 a week ago,i finally rooted it last night and just debloated it myself with root explorer.http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...ainfire-autoroot-stock-custom-kernel-t3294308. This is what i followed. Oh iam on boost mobile.

have a look.
the MM beta is N920AUCU2BPB2, this is N920AUCU2APB2. coincidentally, N920AUCU2APB2 is the version all these various root methods are based on.
so, is this maybe an unreleased update from ATT? I can't really see any differences, and the phone works fine. I'm almost tempted to try one of those root files, but frankly I'm a little tired of wiping my phone when it gets buggy like chimera did to it.
That's the purpose and the fun of testing

I've tested those root files posted here in 5.1.1. None of them work. I flashed back the stock boot image and my N920A is still working fine. But I don't want to flash this MM Odin files because I don't want to loose everything that I have downladed. I know I can backup first, and I already did, but I prefer to wait for the official MM upgrade from AT&T.

I was a recent victim of the infamous boot loop brick. Luckily the phone was still under warranty and I received a new phone. Unfortunately the new phone is AT&T, Android 6.0, H81021y. Can I simply downgrade to the rooted AT&T Android 5.x H81010o image to regain root?

You have to checked your antirollback version in 21y, if im not mistaken 10o antirollback is v1..
If your software in v1 then you can downgrade but please make sure of it or you wil hardbrick the device

depends if phone can be downgraded.. some phone have antirollback.. example i have h811 and if am on lastest 20pMM its V3 so i can only downgrade to MM 20o... if i was on MM20i i could downgrade to LP 10n as 10n and 20i are V2.. so you need to ask what antirollback version your phone is.. some can.. and some phone cant be downgraded after you on specific firmware... try the hidden menu and check the software then scroll down and it says wich antirollback you are on. otherwise youll hard brick phone.

One has to wonder if anti-rollback is permanent on the device or not, even with bootloader unlocking and or root access.
Root is now quit possible with the new vulnerabilities found. Now it seems to be a wait and see game if there are any devs that care to tackle certain G4 models that cannot be self-rooted yet. The dirty cow code is out...so yeah.

Yeah it sucks. Guess I just have to wait for any development on this device in the future. If anyone out there has this same model like mine I'm open to suggestions.
See Post #2 for the Link to Odin Files
It doesn't appear that Firmware.Science is updating their site any longer. I'm removing the link since it's useless to us now. I'll continue to try and get the Odin files as they drop and add them to post #2 for everyone
Understanding the Firmware labels
Here's a better understanding of how these are broken down
G=Galaxy S series
975U or F etc, the model of device
SQ, FX etc = CPU and model specific
U,S,E = Update, Security, Engineering, respectively
1,2,3,4,5 etc = bootloader rev(this is important!)
A = Pie rev 1(This starts off with "A" as the build that is the initially shipped on the device. S10 series is Pie)
(If you ever see a build that contains a "Z" such as this: U5ZSBA, that means the build is part of Samsung's Official Beta program. The "Z" in this context replaces the Android Version letter which hides what OS it actually is.)
R,S,T = Year (R is 2018, S is 2019, T will be 2020)
A,B,C etc = month (January A - December L).
1 - 9 and then A - Z =build compilation. This basically means how many builds there are in a month. They start at 1 and go to Z.
So G975USQU1ASBA would be
G975-U-SQ-U-1-A-S-B-A
G975U (Galaxy S10+ Carrier version), SQ (Snapdragon), U (Update), 1 (Bootloader version), A (Build Pie), S (2019), B (February), A (Build)
**You CANNOT downgrade to a lower Bootloader. So if you are on a Bootloader 2 rom, you can not go to a Bootloader 1 rom.
