[Q] Flashing Stock from another company? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

So I'm on the same boat as several others, got a T-Mo S6 Edge to use on another network, bought the unlock code, doesn't work so I can't use it, however, the carrier I plan to use it on (Claro Dominicana) also has the device and I found their stock ROM online (http://www.mrcrab.net/viewstockrom/34045-sm-g925i.html) Would I be able to flash this, a 925i ROM into my 925t device without issues? As I understand the issue right now is that there are no unlockable ROMs for the Edge in the US.

[Q] Straight talk S4 to TW Tmob

I am pretty sure this will work, but I want to make sure before I buy. Straight talk S4 is $250 brand new right now and I want to use it on T-mobile. I can flash with a touchwiz rom, put in my Tmob SIM and enable the Wificalling, correct? Wifi calling is essential since I don't have T-mob service at my house. Thanks!
You have to SIM unlock the phone first. Once you have that and rooted, you can flash a ROM with WiFi calling if you can't use it.
Bad part is that tracfone locked down this phone really good. Even with the Sim unlock code the phone does not get fully unlocked. Have to enter the code everytime you power on the phone. No 100% unlock method yet, you can flash a custom ROM, but that's about it. No radio flashing...etc.
can you rewrite the IMEI to it, that unlocks others like S4 M919 and several 9300 variants

How to Unlock S3 t999 4.3?

Hi to all, im new on the forum, i was looking to find a way to unlock my S3 t999 which has the android 4.3 JB, i got a lot of info but it seems that i only Rooted my S3, i found out that there an easy way to do it whit the Service mode but since i have Stock 4.3 its impossible, was looking a way to downgrade to 4.1.1 but probably ill get a brick, so if there any way that i get some help unlocking my device i sure will appreciate it.
After 4.1.2 I think there is no free alternative available (unless your carrier gives unlock codes for free after a certain time period). The best way to unlock your phone would be by contacting your carrier for an unlock code which usually means paying a fee or using a pay service. I would recommend using your carrier because they will offer better support and this would reduce your risk of getting scammed by a online service.
Help please!
Hi! Where do I begin?! So I have a tmobile s3 T999LTE version. Previously I rooted it because I wanted custom rom on my phone. Then I wanted to sell it so I unrooted it. I had read somewhere that after unrooting I should revert to latest stock firmware which was 4.3...BIG MISTAKE! It's now running on 4.3...LUVUBOH1 and I CAN'T UNLOCK IT! Tmobile had sent me a code which did not work, then I switched to metro pcs and purchased a code off ebay, which was the SAME code tmobile had given me. I now have metro pcs on another phone and when I put in my current sim in s3 it doesn't prompt for code! And no key combos are working due to change in dialer. I am stuck and gave no idea how to fix it. Imei is valid and I'm pretty sure I'm running stock 4
3. Help anyone? Please? ???
Was the phone running a completely stock rom when you tried to enter the code? How many times did you try to enter the code?

G925T unlocked questions

hello i'm itching to mod my g925t however i'm having second thoughts. Here is my predicament.
I bought my galaxy edge here in the Philippines , used. I was surprised when i look on the phone's setting and said that it is indeed a G925T which is a T-Mobile version, however it is working on my network I.E ( i can make calls, text and data internet). I have a question, When i change, root, my kernel, rom and pretty much any on the software side. Will it lock itself? thanks. Because if it'll lock i'll just deal with it not having the perks of modding it. For reference though , i updated the phone and reset it via SMARTSWITCH and it doesnt lock itself, its just that t-mo apps are still there . I can still call, text and use mobile data.
Samsung G925t edge s6
android version 6.0.1
kernel version 3.10.61-8273934
baseband version G925TUVS4EPH2
I have t mobile and i live in india..
I had same thoughts...
Anyways i went ahead and rooted, installed recovery and even flashed a custom rom many times with clean install. Nothing has happened yet..
I havent flashed stock back even once via odin but i think its safe to say it will remain unlocked
If your 925T is already unlocked, it'll remain unlocked regardless if you root flash a new ROM, I think I've unlocked it remains unlocked. I've had a few unlocked phones and they never got"relocked" after modding them.

Can anyone walk me through how to flash from G930u to G930v?

I purchased a Samsung S7 on Amazon, and it was listed as a G930V. However, when I received it, I was disappointed to see that in "Device Info"... it lists it as a Samsung G930U.
From what I understand, this is indicates Unlocked Firmware install, which will prevent me from using Verizon's Visual voicemail and also be unable to use the built in Video calling feature, where you can video call anyone in the Verizon Network.
What I don't get, is why the back panel of the phone has a Verizon Logo, even though apparently it is unlocked. I thought all Verizon branded phones, have the G930v firmware?
Anyways, is it possible to flash the phone to G930 firmware, so I can use the features I want to have access to? Or is it recommended I just return this item and try and buy another G930v? Does anyone have any detailed instructions on how to flash to G930v?
Interestingly, when I checked the IMEI online... it lists the device as a Verizon G930V. I guess someone has previously flashed these to U from V?
ETA: Are there any benefits to sticking with Unlocked firmware? Are there any advantages of G930U over G930v? I know the G930v comes with a bunch of bloatware... but wondering if there are other things that VZW's firmware might handicap?

3 weeks late but here are my insights. U firmware has less bloatware than the VZW branded firmware. In general, most people prefer the U firmware over their branded firmware unless, as in your instance, there are certain features only available in branded versions. My guess would be that yours was a VZW that was flashed to U. In all likelihood it shouldn't be too difficult to convert back to VZW, if that's your preference. You'll need to familiarize yourself with Odin flashing and the particulars of matching bootloader numbers for firmware to flash. For an example see link: https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/202491/what-do-the-numbers-and-letters-in-the-samsung-firmware-mean
Hope this helps ...

t-mobile firmware help

Hi, my G981A is US, Tmobile carrier. It crashed on me yesterday, is caught in a boot loops, and I am trying to restore it. I have found the Odin software and am able to get it to recognize my device, however, I am unable to find the Tmobile firmware, only AT&T. Does anyone know where the T-mobile firmware might be found? Device is paid off, so I think it is unlocked. Am a bit of a novice at this...just trying not to have to get a new phone if this one can be brought back to life.
Phone is exclusive for AT&T. Yes you can have it unlocked and it will work with other GSM carriers, but there are no Tmobile/Sprint/Verizon variants.
