You have turned on "Unknown Sources" ?
Installation:
Quote:
Make sure you have turned on the option for "Unknown Sources" under Settings > General > Security.
Or, try PlayStore :- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vqasia.hpxcam&hl=en_GB

problem still persists.

I even tried flashing another ROM (AHD10) hoping it'll be fixed, but still the problem is still there. Whenever I tried to use the camera flash on dark places and focus on something it just goes blank, I have to pull out the battery and turn it on to use it again. In bright environment its okay. ??

Weird issue with unknown sources installs

I've noticed on my gpe when I go to install an apk I've downloaded, I can't press install. It's not grayed out or anything, it's just not responding to the press. It's fixed by a reboot. Only mods I've made are gravity box and the optimized dalvik and bionic libraries. Any ideas why this is happening?

Turn off Lux, Screen Adjuster and other 3rd party color settings apps, I know it sounds dumb, but just do it. Then run the APK again. Install should work again.
How weird. Thanks

"Unfortunately, Camera has stopped." message, please help!

Hi,
On my LG G3, camera displays the unfortunately camera has stopped message. I cannot access the camera using this application nor through any 3rd party applications. I can however access the front facing camera using snapchat but not the rear. I have tried the method of clearing cached, data then force stop it and reboot. This does not solve the problem. I have also rebooted the phone in safe mode to determine if it was interference from any 3rd party applications however even in safe mode I got the message, which leads me to think maybe a hardware problem. Can anyone offer some advice?? The device is not rooted. I go on holiday next week and was looking forward to taking some good pictures with it too!
Regards
Ajay
did you make any mod for the camera ? like video quality or bitrate ?
if you did your problem is with the permission of the files you changed. it happended to me too.
i decided to reinstall everything since a wipe didn't solve the problem. later i discovered that i forgot to chance the permissions. so the reinstall was unecessary...all i had to do was give the right permission as was stated in the post about the camera mod.

Do you have a 3rd party flashlight app installed? I had a similar issue and backtracked my installed apps a bit. I removed apps that I knew had access to hardware (removing each one at a time and rebooting my phone after each) The 3rd try was my flashlight app. After rebooting, the camera was back to normal. Also... the front camera likely worked because it doesn't access your camera's flash. Just a guess on that last part mind you. Hope this helps.

but a cse flash deletes all apps which he had done and still no luck, seems like a hardware issue to me
I agree. A hardware issue possibly caused by an app that isn't talking the camera flash's language. Just saying... I had the exact same issue less than 12 hrs ago. I see your point though.

[Q] reboot manager

Hi all, I am certain others are having this problem, but I couldn't find any threads about it.
Does anyone know how to get a reboot widget to work? I used to keep Quick Reboot on my home screen just to have easy access to recovery and other stuff. Since the Lollipop update, none of the reboot managers on the play store work.
Anyone know of a work around or alternative?
Is your phone rooted, from what i understand the app you're referring to or any like it requires it. If you are rooted most any custom rom will have the boot menu your looking for just not as a widget.
Holo Reboot works for me on OB7.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scartech.holoreboot
It has a dark and bright widget.

Dang, it doesn't work for me. It asks for root privileges and I grant them, then says your phone will reboot....but never does. It behaves the same way all reboot managers do, just bombs out.
It has been like this on every ROM I've used (Noterized, Alliance), including stock. WTF?? Are you certain it is rebooting your Note when you ask it to?
Even apps Like Synapse that came with my ROM cannot reboot. The Xposed module reboot function fails too. Like I said, it isn't specific to this ROM, it has always been like this for me on the NOTE 4.

I was using it with rooted OB7 stock using beta 2.49 SuperSU apk. Just flashed a custom ROM that uses 2.46 and does just as you say.
Try the beta 2.49. It was made for the lollipop kernel enforcing vs permissive mode issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55256620&postcount=1 Shouldn't be beta, IMO.
Edit: that didn't fix it on custom ROM for me either. I'll look deeper into this.

I have found that applications that issue a reboot command(like xposed), also fail to result in a reboot. However, interestingly enough, I just noticed that the reboot command from within Titanium works (it is inside the menu list).
Sometimes I notice when I try to reboot with a app, a toast message comes on a says "Reboot:Null" or "that function doesn't exist (or something like that)" as if that command functionality doesn't exist on the Note 4. I know it isn't a Lollipop issue, because my wife's G2 has Lollipop and Quickboot works flawlessly.
When Titanium successfully rebooted, it flashed a toast message (the first time). I didn't have a chance to read it all, it was long. But it seems to be using another method to initiate a reboot. Dunno, I am stumped.

I got some ideas just slow going setting up a fresh ROM. For stock, I had a highly customized setup, look and feel but everyone's preferences are not alike so I can't complain. Even with Titanium and TWRP tar to pull from, I had system customized too. I've got apps and lib folder to edit; some to copy over and some to delete. Keyboards have got to go; back to custom Swype with top number row and directional left right arrows. There's always the nandroid to restore but I'll try to set this up for a backup.
I'll chime in if I figure it out. Maybe just a matter of time. Not out of ideas yet. If someone has a solution, chime in.

Only blackscreen with ui when I open any camera app

Hi there, my problem is: when I open any camera app, I can see only the camera app's user interface, nothing else. Both of the cameras are not working.
What I've tried: downgrade to 4.3 4.4.4 5.0.2, factory reset, full internal storage format, clear camera app data. I am on locked bootloader.
Any ideas my friends? I used my camera more than a half an hour in a day :crying:
Here are some screenshots:
I will try to post them, I can't do it right now.

First obvious guess would be hardware. Was it working fine until you did something, or was it just all of a sudden?
The only other thing I thought of was that there's sometimes other folders in the camera app folder, like 'arm' or 'lib', etc. You probably would know if you did something to that, though.
Last thing I did, I was recording a video. I watched the video, then I wanted to go back to the camera, and it said camera not avaible, I restarted the phone, and then it started the black screen issue. BTW, I can take pictures too, I can feel it's focusing sometimes but if I look into the image file with a hex editor, it's got only zeroes in it.

But thank you for trying to help me
It must be some sort of software issue as it's very unlikely hardware would have failed on both cameras at the same time

Have you already done 'diagnostics' test in settings, or *#*#7378423#*#* service test, and they both fail? Only other thing I can think to try would be replace whole folders in /system with working stock ones.
Yes I tried them, both of the cameras still doesn't work.

2 final guesses - bad kernel, (have you flashed a custom kernel? If not, reflash stock one via Ft), or some 3rd party app that messed with your software. Just try uninstalling stuff one-by-one.

I'm on locked bootloader, so I cannot install any kernel, and I tried to install 4.3- 5.1, with flashtool, but I'll try with Sony PC suite, maybe that will helps, who knows. Thank you so much for helping me.
Did anything work for you?
I am having the same issues

Notification wont show up until I open the App

As the title says: When the screen is shut down Apps like WhatsApp or E-Mail Client wont give me a notification until i open the app myself. Even when im using the phone the messages wont show up most times.
Specs: Lg G3 D855 3gb Model
Rom: Fulmics 4.2 MM Rom
Kernel: Xceed 2.3 latest Test build
Xposed?: yes but only 2-3 Modules.
Sooo. Does anyone know a fix for that? I tried some apps from playstore but they didnt changed anything. I read in a thread that Fulmics got a long "heartbeat interval" but as i sad the apps which change this interval didnt changed anything.
I manage to locate the problem. The wifi isnt always on when the display is turned off. I did check the option to stay on while screen is off, but this isnt working...
Any possible fixes?
