SM T210 Bluetooth support - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Tried to sync my Fitbit with my daughters Tab 3 7" T210 but no good. I know it requires bluetooth V4 and the T210 only supports V3.
I had a Galaxy S II phone (now my belongs to my wife) and we were able to get the fitbit to sync with that by installing a custom rom. You see, the SII has the bluetooth V4 chip but the stock rom didn't work with it (too early version I think) so by upgrading with a custom rom we managed to get it to work.
My question is (and yes I did try google) does the chip on the T210 support bluetooth V4 that we can get working with a custom rom? My daughter is on stock 4.4.2 which should be high enough, but no good. Given this, I am guessing it's a no go and the T210 doesn't support it at a hardware level. Anyone confirm please?

[Q] [I9195]Using Ir-LED with CM 10.1

Hello together,
i've got a question about the Infrared-LED of the S4 mini. I flashed CM 10.1 and now there's no possibilty to use that fascinating Ir-LED because I'm not able to find a download of the Samsung branded app.
Is there a third-party-app that somebody used already?
Greetings,
Joe.
I've tried Smart Remote for Galaxy S4 and it didn't work.
CM 10.1 doesn't support the IR blaster anyway and support for it is only available in CM 10.2, which does not have an official release as of yet.
There was word that copying over the Peel and WatchOn apps from the stock Samsung rom actually allowed it to work, but the download is not legally available so you should extract them yourself.

ScreenMirroring won't work properly

Hey guys!
I have a Sony Bravia KDL-42W655A television and it's able to do ScreenMirroring. But my Note 2 won't connect to it. If I choose my TV from the list it tries to connect but it's failing. With my Note 10.1 and a friend's S4 it works perfect. What could be wrong?

Let me guess... the S4 and the 10.1 were stock? Maybe your custom ROM has some issues with screen mirroring. Go to your ROMs dedicated thread and make sure that the OP doesn't say anything about screen mirroring issues. Also make a thread search for screen mirroring and see maybe other users had the same issue. If all these fails, ask the guys there if they know anything about it. Maybe it's a bug.
Nope not quite right. Note 10.1 is rooted and has a Samsung based Stock Rom. S4 is stock and unrooted. I tried Wanams and now Hurricane Rom neither nor worked. I tried it on Android 4.1.2 and 4.3 both rooted Samsung stock roms

[Q] Ace II ROMs -> Ace II x compatibility?

Hi there!
Do anyone know if ROMs cooked for Ace II would work on Ace IIx (GT-s7560M) and, in consequence, on Galaxy Trend (GT-s7560)?
I'm asking because due to the low popularity od Trend, I can choose from stock TouchWiz ICS and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292696, which is also ICS and that doesn't satisfy me. As I can see, there are lots of JB ROMs for Ace II, hence the question.
Thank you for your answers
No. I see cm10.1(or 10.2, whatever) for ace 2x, thats android 4.2(jb) why not use that

Unfortunately, it's not that easy. You could attempt to port a ROM from the Ace 2, but it wouldn't be bugfree. Getting it booted would be a feat. Like the previous commentor said, there is a CM10.2 and CM11 (JB and KK ROMs) ROM for the Ace II X, though it isn't completely bug free. You could also try my Mod Pack (link in my sig) for the stock ICS ROM. The next update will include some AOSP ICS themed visuals, so it'll make stock ROM feel more AOSP and less Samsung-y.
Well, I haven't noticed at first, there's even 4.3 ROM cooked for Ace IIx ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2518416&highlight=ace+iix ), thanks for hints.
I'll try to set it up and running later today and confirm if it does the trick on Trend.

AFAIK, YoshiShaPow's Slimbean doesn't work. Bootloops. If you want a good ROM (and pretty much the only real custom ROM), try SeannyM's CM builds. There's 10.2 and 11 (Android 4.3 Jellybean and 4.4 Kitkat). All the source built ROMs for the Ace II X are currently buggy. There in his signature here. They'll definitely work with the Trend, but I'm not sure about RIL compatibility with the Trend. If it doesn't work, you can try flashing the Ace II X 'MG2 firmware from Sammobile with Odin, then installing CM.
For future seekers:
Well, after hours of flashing, wiping and testing, it's CM 10.2 ported by SeannyM which appears the best ROM for Galaxy Trend (originally meant for Ace IIx), CM11 has less features, ART doesn't work like it should and it's too buggy tu use so far. 10.2 has a couple of bugs but it's definitely usable as a daily driver. The most gear-grinding bugs are:
WiFi (either you have it turned on all the time or after turning it off you have to turn it on back again and reboot your device, otherwise it won't connect to any network saying 'authentication problem occurred'. That can also be a RIL issue with my device, as you've stated above),
Bluetooth, which simply doesn't work yet
Camera - you can just download any other camera app from play or whatever.
Some may also consider message which shows up after entering PIN ("a SIM card has been detected; reboot your device to install it" or something like that) a problem. You just bypass it by pressing 'back' button and everything's fine.
I use it with JB gapps and 1208MHz kernel, both also got to work by SeannyM, he has links to download all of them goodies in his signature.
Thanks for all the hints
I recently bought an Ace IIx, I quickly found out that it is different from the Ace II and there are less custom rom available. I would flash CM10.2 but I need bluetooth in my car, so I can't use CM10.2 until bluetooth is fixed.
For now, I'm running Daver's MG2 deodexed stock rom and I added a few tweaks (patched services.jar, installed busybox and enabled init.d support). Now, I would like to know if there are some init.d scripts available to improve performance?
Hello.
I have a Galaxy trend s7560
Root is working and cwm 5.x
Also. I flashed cm11 Android 4.4
On it from the Ace 2x.
This is working fine.

WIFI working smoothly only on StockROM

Hi,
I have a T210R Galaxy Tab 3, which I flashed with different roms to try them. Unfortunately, I have observed that wifi on it remains connected and stable only on StockROM I used, whereas no other roms (stock ones included) have wifi stable. Wifi keeps catching and losing signals after few seconds/minutes. Any idea why is this happening? If there's a wifi tweak for this let me know. I'd be grateful.
Regards
UPDATE: Resolved the issue by installing T210 instead of T210R roms. Works fine on both 4.2.2 and 4.1.2 now

4.1.1 custom ROM

Hello,
I recently needed an emulation machine for work. So I took my old note 2 rooted it and downgraded it to 4.1.1 so I could connect my wiimotes (the main purpose of this) for said emulators. As you all know I'm sure the Bluetooth stack is missing the protocol for this connection type. In 4.2+
My question is.....is there anyway to make a custom ROM for the note 10.1 2014 edition that is based on 4.1.1?
Thanks.

Did you try with Xluco's kernel ? it has written to have the ability to support Wii Controller ( If it worked , let me know , because I'm cooking Prime V5 and It's also going to have the Wii Controller support too ) .. I'm waiting eagerly for you'r results

I'm gonna sound like a noob. But to be honest kernels are the things I never screwed with. Do i just flash this with twrp?
It's got the rooted 5.1.1 fw on it and just to clarify it's the SP600
I've got everything I need here (including the Kernel I downloaded) at work so.....
Okay so I flashed the kernel using twrp and unfortunately the wiimotes would not connect using blue IME or the old Wiimote Controller app.
Is there something I'm missing or does it just not work for me?

So , I guess It means that the drivers are not compatible or maybe even not working at all ... If it's possible , flash a 4.4.2 TW stock ROM and try this kernel HERE ( If you're currently on 5.1.1 you need to flash a stock ROM using Odin ) ... this kernel I provide you is one of Xluco's KK kernels ... I'll wait for you'r results then ... Good luck

Re did everything. Installed 4.4.2 and the kernel you mentioned and it still does not work with either application.
Error: bt socket connection failed
Is there a difference between stock and TW stock cuz I installed fresh stock then rooted it and installed that kernel
Regardless of whether TW stock is TouchWiz
I installed a 4.4.2 TW stock rom with root and installed the same kernel. Still nothing.
I don't know what I'm talking about here but is it really this difficult? I'm know it is to some degree, but how has this not been rectified a million times over?
Lost cause then?
Thanks to everyone who accomplishes these things and a massive thanks to the people who make the things we use to do these things...lol

Well , I'm Sorry to say that but , I guess there's no solution for getting the Wiimote to work on you're TAB ( Actually , XBOX & PS remotes are all accepted with Xluco's or even my kernel ) But , as you can see in many other threads , It seems like currently there's no way ... Don't worry MAN , I personally don't have a Wiimote let's just take it easy ... just enjoy the latest TW ROM with Prime V4 ( actually , V5 is in it's way !! )

Well damn. I guess I'll just have to use my note 2 with the tv out.....no sound though.
Thanks. And I'll definitely install they new prime v5
