I would like to install the Korean (specifically SK Telecom model) variant of the firmware, the F400S, on my AT&T G3, the D850.
Reason I ask is because I brought my AT&T G3 phone to Korea and was able to get on SK Telecom's network. But little quirks like not being able to use hotspot tethering, visual voicemail, and access to SK Telecom specific appstore is becoming a hassle.
Would it be advisable to flash my D850 with F400S firmware? Anyone ever tried this or have any insight into this matter?
Much appreciate it. Thanks.

I have a D855 and would like to get AT&T 4G LTE in the U.S. Is it possible to change the software to a D850 or F400S by rooting or unlocking?
as far as i know it's not possible to get different 4g/lte bands by changing the software version, as this is hardware related.
I bought a LG G3 here at Brazil (version D855P), but when I flash the European firmware (UK or Germany), it doesn't get the HSPA+ technology, just the HSPA. It's a lower connection velocity, so, I want to know why does that happen.
And how I can solve this problem, because I didn't find anywhere how to flash different modems on the G3, if that was going to solve anything...
I want to do this kind of change because of the carrier customization on the phone, that I managed to get rid off some things, but remains the wallpaper and home page of the browser.
Waiting for the replies, thank you.
Hey guys, I've been into rooting and installing custom ROMs on android phones for a while now. I have an LG G3 AS985. This is a phone through a local Wisconsin carrier called Cellcom. They use they're own CDMA network and then use Verizon's network for data. I am having some trouble finding information about this specific model phone and have noticed that a lot of the ROMs for the G3 seem to be model specific. Does anyone know if other ROMs will work on this phone without destroying my carrier data. The phone is stuck on 4.4.2 and I would love to have Lollipop on it. Thanks for any help guys.
Were you able to flash KDZs from VS985 on it?
Is it possible to trick apps, app stores, etc. to think I have a different G3 variant than what I actually have?
I have an AT&T (D850) variant but I want to be seen as having a F400S (SKT) variant.
This is because I brought my D850 to Korea and currently use SKT as my service provider... but I cannot use the telecom App Store and some of its telecom specific apps because it says my device is unsupported.
If it is legal to do this than how would I go about doing it?
I have tried editing build.prop once before but it still said my device was unsupported.
Possibly stupid question from a novice. I have a G7 ThinQ (LM-G710VM) which I bought from Verizon. I switched to Mint Mobile (uses T-Mobile towers) and need to use Wi-Fi Calling due to signal strength issues. Mint Wi-Fi calling doesn't work on the Verizon version of the phone. Is it possible to load the T-Mobile firmware on this phone? Or the LG Stock Firmware? If so, could someone point me to a thread that discusses this. I've been unable to find the right one if it exists. Thanks in advance for your patience and help.
You should look at changing your VoLTE settings possibly. As for easy crossflashing of firmware, I did this last night and it is simple, no need to unlock bootloader etc. Only issue is it does not do t-mobile, but a generic rom may work.
