You don't need roms for that, you need kernels try Franco's kernel. Cynogen is the most stable and bug free ROM out there.

Not just that - please update your CM11 to one of the OFFICIAL nightlies, available here: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=maguro
Hey Thank Wajeeh4616,
Please can you give me link to download for 4.4.2 and do i need to flash that kernel right. Sorry don't have much idea about Kernel,
Please if you could provide me some more help in this.
Thanks a lot.
Just one quick question after flashing with "cm-11-20140322-NIGHTLY-maguro.zip " CM11 Nightly, means Official CM11 because i was on "UNOFFICIAL" doest they make any conflict? If so then ill now i m moving on new cm11 "cm-11-20140322-NIGHTLY-maguro.zip " and i need to also flash with Franko Kernal ?

Get the latest version from here and be sure to select the correct device or you know..... Brick etc...
You can find many kernels on the development section of your device
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/development this is for maguro
You can use others but I prefer using Franco kernel as it is very easy to flash (you can download it's app from play store just type Franco kernels and download it. You can use auto flash option from it)
Remember these things are very tricky,it can make your device unusable if you install it incorrectly so..... Take care
And yeah nightlies are official so you better get them from their website as they are fully tested and it is less likely to go anything wrong with them
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...ex-samsung-galaxy-nexus-roms-kernels-t1792896 check it out and be sure to
thank that person and yeah it is for maguro

I know that people generally stick to Cyanogenmod due to it's stability, but I think it is overrated due to the fact that they support so many devices. I would prefer ROMs where the devs actually have the device, and focus on the device since they plan to have it for a while.
With that being said, here is my favorite ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/development/rom-omnimetal-linaro-omni-rom-t2550477
I haven't had any issues (like apps that force close) on it, and apps run fine. In fact, I have also switched to ART and it is pretty stable and blazingly fast. My test was its battery life, and it lasted me close to 7 days on standby with groove ip running on it (receiving calls, texts, etc.), and 2 days with active usage with a sim card.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for atleast reply and suggesting me some ROM which is i ever try.. but now i am little confused, for selecting ROM, I made my mind as per last reply ROM from CM11 Nightly and Kernel From Franco but now OMNI i need to learn about that too.
Can anyone have suggestion on that or give me little more light on ROM.
Thanks
Its good to have choices
If you are new to flashing ROMs, usually CM 11 is an excellent choice.
However, to me speed, low RAM consumption and good battery life matters, so here are the reasons why I chose that ROM:
1. Linaro toolchain - Here is a link to explain why it is faster than standard CM:
http://www.androidauthority.com/linaro-android-is-up-to-twice-as-fast-as-stock-android-92831/
2. Dirty_V kernel - For speed, most of us Nexus users feel it is the best. It is an improvement over Franco's kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/development/kernel-dirtyv-t2613655
So, I usually choose a ROM which uses the linaro toolchain. I also got a ton of cool features like notifications, omniswitch, etc. which you can read about in the ROM link from my previous post.
In the end, I am just giving you suggestions. Why don't you try creating a nandroid backup and then flashing many ROMs to see which one you like? Using the nandroid backup, you could always come back to the tried and trusted CM 11 !
Here is a small intro to nandroid backups which may be useful even in the future in case you mess up your phone with a bad update:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/NANDroid
Hope this helps! :good:
I'm switch between 2 Roms.
Remix
Vanir
Bothe stable and fast.
CU
Litening
Thanks really ! I'll definatly read and try on of that, but first I'll take nandroid backup and learn how to restore etc.
CM11 is good but some time its response very lately specially when charging.

You might want to try omnirom (google for omnirom download, you want the maguro version).
They push daily updates (I install updates every 1-3 weeks). They closely track AOSP (meaning a new AOSP will be made available ASAP). It's a very stable rom and I'm running it my nexus 4 and a modified version on my Galaxy Nexus. It's been incredibly stable and reliable so far. Oh, and its 4.4.2
No try omnimetal! No try vanir! No try liquidsmooth! No try Xenonhd!. So you need to test everything. These threads are useless and not allowed. Choose one you like. Every rom is stable unless specified otherwise..

Pick the one from the omnirom.org download page. All others are remixes - cool stuff you can get in this forum, but not the most stable experience.
Hello Devs,
I think the new Lollipop version is great but at the moment we only have CM12 ROMs for our S4 Mini. Can someone of you build a pure AOSP Lollipop ROM for our device that other dev's can use as base for other ROMs? I do not like CM and at the moment I'm using SlimKat but it looks like there is no update to SlimLP in the next days so it would be great if someone can build a pure AOSP LP ROM.
I would do it for myself but I have no experiance in ROM development. I found this thread but I'm not sure how to add our device. Also I found this and this repo on GitHub but I do not know which from them (or maybe both?) I need to compile the ROM or if I have to change something on them because they are for CM and not for AOSP. It would be great if someone can teach me these steps because this is often my problem when I try to learn something about Android ROM developemnt.
Yours sincerely
Cilenco
Cm12 at the moment is just aosp, give it a try it's very good
There are just too many and not that much time to test! What's the most stable & closest to base CM? Thanks!
Mokee is the best!!!

You'll just get fanboy answers since its new and theres nothing stable. The work on CM took double digit versions before it was halfway usable and there still was a serious functionality issue (wifi not waking up) during that time. And CM was the most well known unofficial rom here with the highest user participation on reporting bugs and workarounds.
Probably best to stick with older more stable roms unless you don't need your phone for anything important.
CM is the best bro
Anyway mokee is also good one . But cm is the best .
Well then i may ask: what is the best stable rom (any version)?
cm11 may be suitable for daily used
i have tried almost all roms... and found below to be used as daily driver.......
Kitkat:
smiui
tesla
mokee44
Lollipop:
Mokee51 release version
Bliss
minimal
liquidsmooth
fusion
resurrection remix
tipsy
crdroid
Marshmallowby far)
Mokee60
Hi all, I was wondering if there are many Omni 6.0 user out there that would like to test a custom kernel. I currently have a custom kernel going for the OnePlus One that uses the same source. I don't have the device, but anything that could possibly be fatal would kill my treasured OPO first .
Thanks,
Yoooshi
Custom kernel are aways welcome, since Find 7 only had Despair Kernel and it was descontinued and no kernels so far to MM releases (CM and Omni). Thanks for your interest in Find 7 @YoshiShaPow =)

I'd love to test out a custom kernel. Miss being able to use one of those since despairis ccontinued and my old galaxy s2.
I have a find7a running omnirom. I will definitely test it
Didn't work on omni rom. Caused it to hang at the omni logo.
Hi.....Im new to this device...and I want to build roms based on @surdu_petru (great) work. I want to try to make roms like Omnirom, SlimRom and DirtyUnicorns but I dont have a lot of HDD space, so...I have to choose 2 roms.
Please vote for the rom you want to see in G8.
Im not a dev...I build roms for n7100 in the past...so I wil TRY to build for this device.
beanstalk - i got this one
hi
really thanks for your efforts.
but I think that if someone tries on developing other Huawei's ROM for this device such as mate series with android 7 and emui5 it would be amazing...
we all will be grateful if you try on this.
