I am having troubles booting my phone after the battery depletes and the phone shuts off. My Optimus G is rooted with lifeless Rom v14 and I have TWRP recovery.
So once the phone dies, I plug it in to charge, and the phone screen automaticaly comes on and the LG logo flashes for a second, but nothing happens. The phone doesn't actually charge. If I remove the phone from the charger, the display still stays on until I hard reset it. I cannot access recovery mode or download mode for some reason. Usually when my phone dies, and I plug it in, it will flash the LG logo, keep the display on for a few seconds, and then shut down and restart and show the battery logo charging. I am not getting that this time, and I can't seem to do anything to get it operating again. There also isn't a red LED light to represent charging either. If anyone has had this issue before or knows how to fix it, I'd really appreciate the information right now.
Thanks

That actually just happened to me too
All I did was unplug the phone, hold the power button until the screen turns off, and power up the phone. I do think the phone may need to plugged in for a bit after it does before it will boot. Hope you find a solution.

I had to use LGNPST and teenybin to get anywhere. I got the program all setup and after trial and error, I fixed the problem, only to be found with another problem. Now my phone doesn't seem to want to charge. It will go to the charging screen and everything, but the red pulsing LED isn't on like it used to be, and it doesn't seem like it really is charging. on TWRP, the battery percentage doesn't even show, except until recently it started showing, and then it disapears because it has no power. Any help?!

I've been having some troubles with my Optimus g. For starters, today it's been awfully laggy. On top of that its been freezing and booting into a yellow HW error screen. And when it's been freezing it sometimes just makes the screen freak out and get all scan lined. Now my phone won't boot. It appears it won't even charge. I have it plugged in and it does nothing. The most I can make it do right now is if I hold the power button while its plugged in, after about 20 seconds the red led will start flashing. Doesn't do anything past that. Is there any thing I can do to save this phone??

Try what's listed in this thread about dead batteries. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43983721
If you have Twrp installed, try and flash a stock ROM.

So my sister gave me her s3. It wont turn on and actually boot. Sometimes it will show the s3 logo and sometimes the Samsung logo. I tried booting into recovery. It will show the booting recovery in the top left but then it will shut off. I took the battery put and plugged it in to the charger, the light will turn red, it will vibrate and try to turn on but the light will disappear. I've tried another battery but the phone doesn't want to boot fully. The charger port is kinda loose and it's about 6 months old. Any help would be appreciated. Kinda know what I'm doing with phones and tried everything I could think of to get it to work -.-
So my galaxy nexus won't turn on or go into download mode or anything.
Only response I get is when I connect it to charger it shows the battery is charged and then it goes away,
and when I plug it in the computer it shows unrecognized usb device and then it goes away then it shows unrecognized device again(this happens in a loop)
how it supposedly got bricked: I was just using phone on a CFW, and after changing some voltage settings from some voltage control then applied, and then screen flickered and then it turned off, I turned it back on and everything was working but after 5 seconds same thing happened, then I turned off and on again and still same thing happened, after a few more tries it just stopped turning on ;-;
I have the same issue but hadn't made any changes. The battery died the other day and it didn't come back. I can boot into the bootloader and when I choose start or recovery it just goes back to the full battery logo.

Would getting a new battery fix this?
For a while I didn't use my Nexus 5X. Recently however I wanted to use it again but it was in a continuous boot loop. No not the big core issue as both TWRP and the ROM installed had the appropriate fixes applied. I could only get it reliably into bootloader mode, but even then it would force reboot after about 5 minutes just to end up in the loop again. Plugging it in or letting it charge over night didn't help.
I then took the battery out, made sure there was no dust anywhere, put the device back together, and tried charging again. Now the screen doesn't turn on whatsoever, and I just have a red led flashing in seemingly the bottom speaker. Even over night it doesn't charge, neither via my pc or directly at the wall. Only by taking out the battery and having the device plugged into power I can get it into the bootloader again, but it still won't boot anything.
I'm not sure what is broken, as even without the battery attached it won't boot properly. What can I do to fix this?
Is there nobody that knows what to do?
