[Q] Several issues on my nexus 7... Help me - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

actually i'm noob in here and english is not my mother tongue... so i ask for your understanding.
I have some issues on my nexus 7, it is pretty "general" issues : touch screen, freezing frequently(containing booting freeze on GOOGLE logo), and auto-rotation.
I bought it last year, and I'm getting more trouble at these days with my nexus, especially after i got fixing service for my display broken.
Even I watched the video about fixing my problems and tried out those tasks and it didn't work.
What should I do now... I'd rather give up use it than pay $ for it.

Which Android version is running on your tablet? You could try to update to the latest version (5.1.1) by flashing the corresponding factory image from Google. And / or just try to do a factory reset - maybe this will fix your problems.

[Q] S4 mini rebooting very often!

Hi all!
First of all thanks for your work..it's awesome!!thanks to you i enjoyed my s plus until some days ago it has broken..very sad day
However i decided to move on with a more modern cel, so i decided for a s4 mini.
But since the beginning i've had lot of problems..
My phone after an original update from samsung started to freeze and reboot..more and more often..i read it could be an issue with original update so i decided to mod my phone since i've had great improvements with my old s plus..
first i installed cm11 but the phone keep rebooting and rebooting ..so i installed cm12 with android l..but the problem is still here!!
the more my phone became hot the more it reboot..it's unusable and i don't know what to do..i'm also begin to doubt it's a hw problem
my warranty is gone with all this mods..so what to do? any others has this kind of problem?
thanks if yo want to answer
People encountering this should perform a factory reset and wipe everything from the phone.
Then, perform a clean install of whichever rom you wish to use, without any additional apps.
I recently encountered an issue with Apex Launcher and a recent update. Android keep crashing and soft rebooting often.. only after a few days did I realise the launcher was the issue. Since I uninstalled the app the phone hasnt restarted once!
Mine restarts after i turn on Mobile Data + GPS for navigation..
It works for a minute and restarts.
I don't know where the problem is either. I tried to flash cm10, 11.. stock 4.2 / 4.4 and nothing seems to get me rid of the problem

Galaxy tab 3 (Sm-t217s) driving me crazy!!

Hey, guys. Hopefully one of you can help me. I've been having problems with my Galaxy tab 3 (Sprint version) all damn day and I figured I'd ask for help before I utterly destroy it.
So, I've been trying to restore the tablet to factory and nothing I do is working. It was rooted in the past but it was all undone before it was given to me a couple of years ago.
Anyway, I've downloaded the stock os from here, sammobile, and another source, but no matter which I use I seem to run into the same issues. (All flashed with odin 3.12)
1.) When resetting the tablet to factory before or after flashing, I almost constantly seem to get the message, "process system isn't responding."
2.) Keyboard seems unresponsive.
3.) Wifi doesn't seem to stay on, doesn't even let me get to where I can scan for signals.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Sorry!
Can't help just because I don't own a T217S but I own a T210 instead!
They are two different models!
So yeah!
Good luck with what you are doing!
Cheers,
Diamond26
I have the same problem - Process system isn't responding Do you want to close it? I can't reply because the touch screen isn't working now. Anyone know what I should do?
What rom do you have on now?

Factory reset on a corrupted Android OS?

So about a few years ago, I tried to root my galaxy note 4 (n910aucu2doi3), but I guess it rejected the root because it instantly bricked my phone, to the point where I had to completely wipe it using android recovery. The only way to get my operating system back was to download it online and install it through my PC (I had to find the exact version for my phone as well, 5.1.1 at the time, because it rejected every single other version).
Everything seemed to be working fine, except that I couldn't install software updates on my phone anymore. It was permanently stuck on 5.1.1. It was a bit of an annoyance but I didn't think much of it at the time.
Fast forward to now, and I'm getting several signs that my OS may be corrupted. My phone is constantly freezing, crashing and restarting. Maneuvering through applications causes the phone to freeze for a few seconds before either restarting or crashing the app. I want to say it's definitely a software issue, but I did install a new battery recently and it was working fine for a few weeks, could that be the issue?
If not, I want to start over, but I'm not sure how, and I don't know if it's safe to do a factory reset on this OS. Is there anyway I can get a fresh stock version of an android OS that can also update?
Any help is appreciated, I'm pretty much desperate.
I manually updated to 6.0.1 with the help of this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-att/general/updates-thread-t3663943
It seems to have fixed the issues so far, and my phone can automatically update again

Question Soft Reboots After Every Reboot [SOLVED]

EDIT: Apparently this was a result of using the wrong setting for enabling hotspot in PropsConfig. Because all that stuff was set during bootup, deleting apps wouldn't change the situation. Setting worked fine on my Pixel XL, but not here. Changed the setting and all is well.

So, this is a weird issue I was curious about and may have missed on my searching. Every time I reboot the phone, when I got to log in it immediately follows up with a soft reboot. It's been happening for a while, and I'm not sure the source of the issue.
Running stock 12 ROM and rooted, but I disabled SU, modules, and Nova and am still running into the issue.
Might be quicker and easier to back up your required files and just factory reset.

*sigh* I kinda made this post to avoid that step.

I know, it's just that it sounds like you've already disabled some things that could be causing it, which hasn't helped. If it was me, with something like constant reboots, I'd want to start fresh just to make sure they are eliminated for good

I've seen reports of "random" (=not intentional) reboots after
+ booting up the phone
+ using the FP scanner
+ making videos or shooting photo
+ doing a firmware update (I've seen both reports of ppl that "officially" OTAed & used manual flashing)
+ doing nothing
+ doing something
Some were able to fix their issues by factory resetting, some needed replacement devices. Some reported that even after a factory reset, the issue still persisted, but they were able to fix it by NOT using a backup via cable, some reported that even the Google Drive backup "corrupted" their phone (fix after setting up everything by hand from scratch). Some even reported their issues to get fixed via a software update.
So it seems to be connected to hardware (= replacement device) and/or software simultaneously (=fix via reset).
Strange this is since there are also numerous reports of Samsung owners that upgraded to A12 about random reboots. So it might even be something Android 12 related, or it's just Samsung also implementing similar bugs without it being A12 related (unlikely, since the reports seem to be centered around people using the new A12 update).
I also had the random reboot problem (~ 6 times a day, when doing nothing, it just rebooted when the phone layed on the table in idle). I wasn't able to fix it via a reset, so I got a replacement device.
I also have the "random" reboot problem on my Pixel 3 since upgrading to Android 12 (never had any issues all the years I've been using that phone), so that issue is clearly caused by A12, but I haven't troubleshot it/ tried to solve it, since I don't actively use the phone currently.
Aside from trying a factory reset and minding the backup issue (especially backups that you got from phones that did NOT have Android 12), there is not much more that you can do (ofc you could also use the Pixel repair/android flash tool to do a "clean" install of Android on your phone). Next step would be to contact Google.

Sharing your experience of dealing with g3s problems

Hello guys, this thread is for you all to share your experience of dealing with your LG G3 problems, including software or hardware
Whether the problem is critical or not, or even just a tip, they're all welcome!
You can post your ideas now, they can help many people!
If you think your phone with stock rom is glitchy or reboots and hangs randomly, this can help!
Solution
First, boot to recovery and factory reset your phone.
Second, boot back to os, then SET THE DATE TO 2014, and about the date when LG g3 was released.
Do not connect the phone to the internet or do not let the phone knows the current time and date.
Third, please root and install a custom rom ASAP, like lineageOs, NOT stock rom based.
What is planned obsolescence? And why it's related to these problems?
Planned Obsolescence is extremely prevalent in smartphones. Phone companies such as LG, wanted their customers to stop using their phones after warranties, and buy a new phone so they can earn more interest. Therefore they embed software "time bomb" in android phones(usually embed in the stock ROM)These were counting down to the right time after a few weeks of warranty, then your phone would start doing "suicide"(causing problems and damaging itself) resulting lag, freezes, random reboot, bootloops, and even bricked at last.
In the solution, it intercepted that "time bomb", so it will think the phone is still in warranty and stop causing problems to your phone.
This solution can also WORK ON OTHER devices.
Before my stock rom android 4.4 LG G3 F400S had a constant reboot, so I reset it, set the date to 2014/9/12, and installed lineage os 18.1 on it. Everything works again, or even better.
Please share this to everyone, I bet this can help many people and most of them don't know it. Thx
