After upgrading to lollipop on the phone (Note 4 N910G) I no longer get vibrations on notifications on the SWR50 when I have the phone set to vibrations only.
Is this a bug or have I miss-configured something?
Me too
What profile do you use on your phone?
If it's "Priority" or "Silent" then you won't get vibrations on the watch.
You have to set it to "Sound" and then go to the Android Wear app and set "Mute notifications on the phone" to on.
It's the way official way to do it, but IMO it's broken by design...

Sorry, I wasn't aware that Xperia calls the profiles different, see the attached files for a comparison.

Whenever I put my phone on silent or vibrate only, the watch doesn't vibrate for notifications either... is there anyone else experiencing this?
I am using it with a vzw g3
I am not experiencing this, but there is a setting in the Android Wear app to have watch only notifications when connected or both devices. Maybe try toggling that?

My understanding is that currently the watch will vibrate ONLY when the alert makes noise on your phone... let me see if I can dig up the article where I read that... but the article was more about not having the watch notify for certain notifications.
EDIT: Found it...
Little-known fact: Notifications will only cause your Android Wear watch to vibrate and light up if they'd also make a sound on your phone. If a notification is set to be silent on your phone, it'll show up and be available on your watch but won't do anything to alert you to its presence.

thanks!! but what about vibrate mode on your phone?
Another strange thing is.. when I select "notify on watch only" the phone goes into silent mode... And last time I tried, it, the notifications were not going off on my watch.

I would have to play around with it myself. I was just reading up on the Moto 360 when I came across that article so I am not sure about Vibrate instead of silent
Hi All,
Anyone know what triggers vibrate on the watch?
I want all notifications to vibrate the watch.
gmail is currently vibrating on the watch.
Wechat vibrates on the phone, and I get the notification on the watch, but it doesn't vibrate!
Shouldn't it be an all or nothing?

Not too sure if there is anything you can do as I believe this has to deal with the settings in the app. Some apps only send the alerts to the watch if the phone itself is on vibrate or something. You can try that...
This is very annoying. It's going to force me to go back to my pebble. We need a 'pebble notifier' type of app that can force a notification vibrate for any app notification

Found one that worked: Augmented SmartWatch Pro.
It seems that wechat doesn't send a "vibrate notification" so it breaks android wear.
Instead it just does a normal app vibration.
Augmented works similar to "Pebble notifier" where it sends a vibrate notification to Android wear.
wechat still not test on the watch yet.
Hey guys, I wasn't sure if this warranted it's own thread, but I think it does since there's no "Ask Any Question!" sticky like some of the big boards.
Anyway, when listening to music through Pandora, I have a persistent notification allowing me to pause/play my music from my Moto 360. Can I turn it off? Notifications are very large and block the face so I can't tell the time. Normally, I'm okay with swiping others away, but this one is persistent. I tried adding Pandora to the notification mute list in the Wear app, but that didn't work. I can mute all notifications, that's not what I'm after. Can I just turn off music control somewhere?

Go to Android Wear app on your phone, select the Cog Gears (Settings) icon on top right corner. Select first option "Mute app notifications", select Pandora or any apps you don't want notifications to be pushed to your watch. Done!

Is there a way to disable ALL notifications? I dont see a reason to get notifications on my watch when I always have my phone on me. I guess you could say I got it for an advanced watch, not another gadget to notify me of e-mail, etc

You can just pull down from the top of the watch until it vibrates and says "Mute" then you won't get any notifications until you repeat those steps to unmute it
For some reason, this trick doesn't work with tune in radio
Really?

Ummmm, you did know it was a smartwatch when you bought it? If your not using it, as a smart watch, then I don't see the point of you owning it... Just saying.

Wanting to get rid of a persistent notification that bothers him hardly puts him in the category of not using it as a smartwatch.
Even if you turned off all notifications, it's still a smart watch, it runs apps, responds to voice queries, keeps your phone unlocked, etc...

Remember during initial setup when it asked you to activate the Android Wear notification listener service? Undo that. Then it has no idea when you have a notification.

This doesn't work for Spotify either. Are there any other idea's?
Just adding my voice... it's a really annoying 'feature' of Android Wear (or Wear OS, as it now seems to be called).
I went through and I disabled every single notification (about 300 or so of them) and the media notification still appears, and doesn't time out. This is annoying because it lights up the screen which eats through my battery. Why can't it auto-hide itself LIKE EVERY OTHER NOTIFICATION?
Grrr....
I read on the Huawei watch help site that, in order to silence the watch, the phone must also be silenced. I've turned off all vibration for notifications on my phone ("Do Not Disturb" mode PLUS ensuring settings are set to silent/no vibration), but continue to get vibrations for notifications. It seems as though there is no way to set the watch to silent through the android wear app OR via the phone.
Please help! I have to take my watch off for meetings because it is irritating to other staff, defeating the purpose of having the watch. Thank you.

On the watch;
Swipe down from the top.
You will see Do not disturb.
Touch it.
You will not get any more notifications from the watch until you do the above again.

Thank you for your response. I'm familiar with the "Do Not Disturb" setting accessed via the watch as you described. However, despite it being on "Complete Silence", it is still vibrating for notifications. I've tried tapping the "Do Not Disturb" icon to switch to the other setting (thinking that, perhaps, I had been mistaken), but I can see that it is definitely on "Complete Silence", (meaning that is is silent even for alarms, as I'm sure you know). It really is quite bizarre.
Is there a way to disable the annoying notification for connection lost between the Galaxy watch 42mm LTE (without esim for now) and Phone (SG S9).
If i walk 5-7 meters away from phone the watch pings and vibrates, and when coming back in BT range it is the same.
The function I think it should have is to jump over to wifi seamless and then back to BT. Is this possible?
Cheers

This is theory. In practice this does not happen so seamless
In Samsung App on the phone: connection settings you can set if you want to get notifications upon watch connection/disconnection
Yes, but is it possible to disable the notification?
on the watch, go to settings --> Connections. There should be a setting called ALERTS, toggle that off.

To clarify. I want to disable the "connection lost" and "connected to phone" alert on the watch.
NOT to turn off all alerts. There is a toggle for "connection" in the watch settings, but the watch still vibrates.

I guess I do not understand what you are looking for.
That setting has NOTHING to do with *other* alerts. The setting specifically says "ALERTS: Get BLUETOOTH disconnection alerts". This is for BLUETOOTH disconnection alerts and Bluetooth disconnection alerts ONLY. If you disable it, you will get NOTHING about Bluetooth disconnects, no sound, no vibrations, no screen notifications (aside from the small "watch" icon that appears at the top of the screen (near the 12 o'clock marker) that signifies "stand alone" mode. (I know because I use it).
