Hello,
I wanna install TWRP recovery ( Since CWM isn't available for the neo n7505 .. )
But, there's a thing keeping me away from this installation.
Is there any way, i can get back to the stock recovery if I install this TWRP Recovery?
If yes, how?
Hey guys,
So I had 5.1 on my Canvas A1 with Root+TWRP Recovery. To get 5.1.1, I unrooted and installed stock recovery to get the OTA. Now, I have an unlocked bootloader, but I can't install TWRP or any other Custom Recovery. I followed the videos and tutorials on how to install custom recovery and there doesn't seem to any problem, but then when I open the recovery mode, I get that "No Command" screen of the stock recovery. I hold power+up to get into that, but even then when I try to root the device by installing SuperSU.zip, it displays some problem:
failed to verify whole-file signature
signature verification failed
installation aborted

Please help.
The phone's running well, in other aspects. But I'd really like it to be rooted again.
Thanks in advance.

try this ,
flash recovery using fastboot " fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and immediately boot into recovery using command "fastboot boot recovery.img" , when you are in recovery reboot into recovery again but now from recovery( there will be option in recovery to do this).... now check if you have custom recovery or not ....
Solved!
Thanks, guys for your suggestions. But I used Android One Toolkit, and that worked like a charm. It installed a custom PHILZ Recovery + re-rooted my Canvas A1. Thanks for your inputs anyway. :good:
Hello.
I wanted to root my E986 but my usb-port doesnt work anymore. I'm on stock rom without Custom Recovery. Also i tried Kingroot and it worked. I installed GPro Kitkat Recovery via the recovery installer app.
It doesnt work.
So i extracted the recovery.img from the apk and flashed it via flashify. Now i stuck on fastboot mode if i want to reboot into recovery.
So i have an fastboot mode.
My question: can i boot into fastboot mode in stock rom with root and stock recovery? I tried it with many options but nothing helped me. :3
If your trying to boot to recovery there are plenty of apps like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.siriusapplications.quickboot&hl=en in the playstore or this one that's no longer in the playstore
Hi everyone,
I used rashr tool to flash twrp 3.0 hilltex . I also used kingroot to enable root on device before using rashr. Now when i pressed in rashr to boot in to recovery after flashing , the phone is stuck in boot logo. I think the flash has damaged my recovery, because I cannot press volume and power buttons to access recovery at all. How do i flash a proper recovery img ??
Thanks in advance.
I used Odin to flash twrp on my device hl3g and it worked

Boot into fastboot. Flash stock recovery via adb. Boot into recovery. Sideload stock OS
OR
Boot into fastboot. Flash TWRP recovery ( official / modified). Boot into recovery. Wipe. Flash 3.2.7 Firmware. Wipe. Reboot into recovery. Flash custom ROM + gapps of your choice.
