HTC Sense TV - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everybody,
HTC canceled their app HTC Sense TV and tells us to use Peel Smart Remote.
I really liked Sense TV because of the ui and the functionality to generate own buttons, the channel guide i dont´t need. Does someone knows a way that we can get the app working again?

Asking it in the wrong section buddy. There is a Q&A section for questions and there is already a thread about this subject

The count of stupid questions so far on this forum, like the one you just asked.
The next person that asks this question needs to be banned
This person asked the same question in HD2 General. Lock thread imo.
Already noticed and as mentioned, it is not necessary this thread stay open! closed!

[Req] Place icons anywhere on screen

Is it possible to allow free positioning of icons anywhere on the homescreens?

well, it's actually a request from me, and i was hoping for a discussion between devs on possibly removing the grid on homescreens that locks icons into place. that way we can have free positioning anywhere on the homescreen without the icons snapping into place.

Having this option would be really sweet but I am not sure how possible it would be. What are you thinking for moving the icons? Maybe someone has a tweak that would be more feasible for positioning the icons

Folks have two options when visiting a thread:
Option 1
Provide helpful and constructive repsonses ... not "use search", "use google", "wrong forum", etc.
Option 2
If a member is not inclined to follow Option 1 ... then move on!
If a member has posted in the incorrect forum, report the thread with a recommendation as to where it should be moved to.

[Q] HTC desire vs HTC desire softbank

removed to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1190210
If it's a question, it belongs to Q & A. How exactly is your post helping "Desire Android Development"? This is not the thread for "just learning"
Sorry i will remove it.

But after I move it, your post looks silly. Don't bother posting about it, just report PM one of the mods or report it and it'll get taken care of. Fair warning to thread starters: if you incorrectly post something in the Development forum, it's fair game to be deleted without warning.

[Q] Should each 'Cook/ROM' have its own section

I think each ROM should have its own section not just a thread. I find searching through 1000+ posts for one bit of info very hard work, and I bet others do as well. Search is good but unless you know the exact wording its not always the best option.
With each ROM having its own section each question will be in its own thread, making finding the answers to repeated questions much easier.
What say the masses ?
Thanks
interesting idea...but think not possible or..?
You know requesting new sections every day would be pain in the arse for moderators?
It's good as it is now.
When you have one sub-forum for each rom then you have a loooooooong list ... and thats not better then so
Questions shouldnt be in dev section - so there are only dev threads -> done
Question about an spezific rom can be posted in the rom thread.
I think this can be achieved through "Related Threads" (With some modification). So that once u open a thread from one developer all this threads in the same section apear at the bottom.
Just a wild idea
Maybe the mods can make the most useful/best roms sticky...
agree! very hard and sometimes slow to search through 10,000 posts .. it 's often a nightmare to follow the thread

even with search button.. e.g. you search for an issue on battery.. you see someone who asked the question... then i must scroll down(or move next page) to search if someone actually replied and gave a solution to the issue (assuming a there's a reply or solution to the question)... in between you have tons of other unrelated questions/replies/opinions/thanks etc... lol i think you know what i mean

The masses say no. We like asking the same questions all over again, or even better opening the new threads for every query we have.
Your idea is good but what you propose can't be done. It can't be avoided as it would be a forum utopia sort off. Google is more powerful than forum search. Good info doesn't necessarily have to come from XDA.
And for starters this thread is in totally wrong section.
How about a section for roms with sense and a section for roms without sense? or maybe section for ports from other devices and a section for "almost" stock roms. Mabye 2 - 4 subcategories would be a good idea. Another good idea would be that the cooks would use a specific format for the thread names like "Update/Date - Rom name - Version - Cook".
just my two cents in some bad english ^^

[Q] Substitute APNews on Bada 2.0

Hi guys!
Just one question. Have you ever tried changing APNews widget rss for any other one?
I've have tried modifying an .ini file with Trix, changing the apnews rss for another one, but reboot bucle happens when trying to connect from the the widget.
Has anyone succeed in this or has the key to do it correctly.
Thanks in advance. Happy new year, by the way!
No one?
I'm sorry but you are not in the right section to post here that type of question.
Here it is discussions about the android project on wave I and II.
This thread have to be moved to Bada software discussions.

I didn't know that link. Thanx so much.
However, it was just a deal of improving my knowledge at the time of modifying firmwares. Just to know if I could change that fixed widget as almost no one in Spain is aware of that AP News Rss.
If you somehow know what to modify, please, let me know.
Thanks again
