[Q] *BIG PROBLEM* Vk810 bricked! Can't go into download mode! HELP! - G Pad 8.3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I got my verizon lg g pad 8.3 vk810 model last week. Yesterday I rooted it and then unrooted it when a nav bar key went missing. The key was still missing so i tried to factory reset the tablet. When it tried to turn on, IT WAS BRICKED! it keeps saying "secure booting error! cause: boot certification verify" so I followed the traditional unblocking method for the lg g pad 8.3 vk810 but it won't go into download mode! I keep hitting both volume buttons and connect the usb but it just tries to charge expect it can't because its bricked! How do i get this tablet into download mode and unbrick it! If i can't will verizon replace it without noticing it was ever rooted? Please replay ASAP!

Here's the way to get into download mode:
Connect your USB cable and then do the following-
With your tablet completely powered off you hold the power button and the up volume button to get to the download mode.
The instructions say to hold the up and down volume buttons but of course as you know that does not work.

This got me totally pissed one day until I found a post giving this info. So I've saved it in a txt file for future reference. Frustrating to no end when the info is incorrect; I understand

Secure booting error

Hello all
My Optimus G is stuck in "Secure Booting Error! Cause : boot certification verify" and I can't seem to do anything at all. When I hold down the power button the screen turns off for a couple of seconds and then it turns back on and displays the same error. It's almost like the device isn't turned off but rather is locked and I can turn it back on using the volume buttons instead of the power button. I've tried to hold down the volume up and power button bit nothing happens so I can't connect to it through my computer and I'm unable to get it to boot into anything.
Is there anything I can do to revert it back into stock?
Specs: LG Optimus G E975 International
Edit: I'm also unable to power off the device.

Secure Booting Error! Can't go into recovery/boot/bootloader/download mode

Please help.
What I wanted
I was on sling v2.1 rom (mod of official LG kitkat rom) and it brought its on LGViet recovery. So I just downloaded a CM11 rom, and flashed it through recovery.
What I got
Every boot, I started getting
Code:
Secure Booting Error!
Cause : boot certification verify
And phone kept on rebooting into same LGViet recovery.
luckily, I had sling v2.1 flashable zip file so I flashed that back. I booted into android but the error kept there on boot up LG logo screen. I thought that this recovery is some borked screwed up version of clockwork mod with custom signatures etc, I installed PhilZ recovery.
Still couldnt get rid of the error and now phone always stays at LG logo screen. I can't put phone to download mode because my phone's Volume Up button is @#$%ed up and I am not sure if its pressed even though I press both buttons with all the might and force I have in the world to put it into download mode to flash official kdz and get rid of this crap.
Can anybody help me with this soft / hard brick I have got?
I know this category is made to be ignored by majority of the people. I'll really appreciate it if somebody helps me get outa this mess. Thank you
For me was very similar, it was third month of using LGE975, and i sent my G to warranty i said "i tried to do factory reset and my phone was bricked on this screen", they accepted phone and changed motherboard I tried to do hard reset, go to bootloader but still get this error, but i didin't tried go to donwload mode. I really don't know how to repair this error. I guess if you can't go to download mode, you shoud sent phone to warranty.
Sorry if my english grammar was poor
I think all you need to do is keep trying to go on download mode. If you cant, go to any repair shops to fix that buttons

Shutdown the phone completely (hold power for 15-20s). Hold both vol buttons then plug the usb cable to a power source (could be your computer or your charger). DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING ELSE.
I know it doesn't sound very helpful but it's very hard to get the combination right. Took me 20 tries every time.
I got it in like 50th try. Almost all the finger tips of my both hands hurt so bad.
Reverted to offical GB, FreeGee'd, CWM'd and installed MOKEE right away...
The horrible button behavior is a pain in the ***!
My kind thanks to all of ya for keeping me motivated to press them damn buttons

Quick and easy solution for secure booting error is teenybin. It unbricks your device in like 20 seconds, no need to flash kdz.

LG G4 bricked - cannot get into recovery or download mode.

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me. My husband tried to downgrade his LG G4 UK model from Marshmallow to Lollipop, using LGUP. The process failed and the phone is now bricked. I switch it on, and the "LG powered by Android" screen comes on, followed by the other LG screen. The phone just sits like that. I have tried to boot to recovery, and boot to download mode; but can do neither. I have also tried connecting to LGUP, LG Bridge, and the LG Mobile Support Tool. None of these can find the phone, as it needs to be switched on to be located by the programs. When I connect the phone to my laptop, I get the "thump" sound that shows the phone is connected to the computer. That is all I can get though. Is there a way out of this, and back to getting the phone working again? I would be grateful for any advice you can offer me to resolve this issue.
I think it's hard bricked. In that case, you can't recover it.

I have now been able to get the phone into download mode. I was hoping that getting into download mode might help LGUP to see the phone, but I can't find a way of doing that.

I took a punt, and the punt worked. I disconnected the phone from the computer, and pulled the battery. Then I re-inserted the battery. Next, I tried to get the phone to boot into download mode, by pressing power and volume down; with the phone disconnected from the computer. The phone then brought up a screen, asking if I wanted to do a factory reset. I chose "yes" and it asked me again (presumably in case I had pressed "yes" in error. The phone then powered down, before powering up, and optimising apps. Then it went to the welcome/sign in screen. All the previous apps are lost, but at least the phone is working now. Hubby is chuffed to bits with his "new" phone.

Glad to hear that!

It's a hard reset, not download mode. Glad that it worked for you I already tried it several times but I can't get past the screen saying Android starting apps.

One click Root failure - stuck at LG logo. Can someone please help me what to do?

Hi
I'd be really really grateful if all of you clearly (more) knowledgeable (than I) could help me.
My phone is a D855 (32gb/3gb) international model which was running on stock v5.0.
I ran v1.3 of the one click root method. and completed the whole process (or so I thought ). However, after the process said it had completed, I removed the usb cable and now find that I am stuck at the LG Logo.
Pulling the battery makes no difference. Once reinserted and power back on, the LED on the top left blinks but no boot.
I have tried to enter download mode (by removing the battery, holding the volume up button and inserting the usb cable) but again, no joy.
Can anyone please tell me what I need to do recover the situation.
Many many thanks
Update: I managed to get into recovery by turning off the phone completely and then pressing and hold Power and Volume Down. When the LG logo appeared, release. After a split second, then pressing volume down and volume up. At the white screen asking you to reset, I pressed Yes two times using Volume buttons. Saw the screen that said erasing data but still stuck at the LG logo.
Can anyone help please?
Update 2: managed to get into download mode by powering down (took the battery out) then holding the volume up button and inserting the usb cable.
What do I need to do next?
hello, you need either the lg mobile suite software or lg flash tool 2014 and a kdz
I would go for lg mobile suite - it will offer an upgrade or select it manually
also -- see the guide from hyelton in g3 general (getting back to stock)

No Firmware, No Recovery, No Download Mode in LG Optimus G F180L. Any Option to fix?

The phone is only showing "Secure booting Error! Cause : boot certification verify"
I've tried pressing both volume keys and then plugged the USB cable in but no luck.
I've tried pressing volume down and power button and then inserts the USB cable but no luck, same screen?
Could you please help what is the issue actually I am facing?
Any help will be appreciated ...
I did get that message when I first flashed my LS-970, But mine allowed me to boot into the system to unlock the bootloader (I had not flashed anything but a new Recovery) I'd recommend going into the OS getting the LG bootloader unlock apk (sorry I don't have the name at the top of my head) Then it will flash a Google bootloader and be unlocked! If you cant get into the OS then try download mode my phone is VOL UP and power I betting you were doing vol down and power. If you cant get into download mode, or the OS, or the bootloader; then your pretty much SOL. There's a number still out there on ebay :/
Hi there...
I have the same problem...
I cant open the OS,bootloader or the download mode....
Can you guys please get any senior here?
I really need to fix it
