[Q] LG G3 Beat (D722) random reboots - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone,
My G3 Beat (D722) randomly reboots at least once in a 2 day cycle. It reboots while I am using it, or just if it is lying on the desk. Yesterday it turned itself off, and the only way I could turn it on again was by removing the battery first. After it booted, the time and date setting were completely wrong. This morning I decided to manually restart it to see if it would go the day without restarting itself, but as soon as it booted, it restarted again
Android version: 4.4.2 rooted
Where must I start faultfinding the problem?
Thank you !

[Q] Latest cyangoenmod and bricking?

Hi,
I just recently ran into a possible bricking issue with the latest stable relesae of CM. I upgraded yesterday, and it worked great. But throughout the course of today apps started freezing up and the like, especially core apps.
I went through the procedure of restarting it, and then it couldn't even do that properly. After that it got stuck on the boot screen and I had to pull the battery in/out. And now it won't even turn on.
but if I plug it into my computer with no battery, the red light goes off.
This guy also seems to be having the same problem as me: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...amsung-galaxy-s3-wont-turn-2.html#post3114995

[Q] LG G3 (D855) keeps rebooting...

Hello everyone,
I have a serious problem with my 3 months old LG G3 (D855):
It keeps rebooting randomly, and by rebooting I mean the LG logo appears for 3 minutes to several hours, then back to the desktop screen again. It annoys me so much since it occurs pretty much all the time even in the middle of a phone call, rendering the phone completely obsolete…!
I initially thought it was a “compatibility” issue between stock Lollipop and the phone, so I went on rooting and flashing the device back to KitKat then to CyanogenMod 12.1, but the problem persists and now it's the Cyanogen logo that appears instead!
Additionally, I noticed a tremendous heating of the device and quite a lot of lagging even on Nova Launcher!
I’d send it back to SAV if I could but I live in Morocco and the purchase was made from France...
I need your help!
Factory reset it. Remove SD card if you have one. Flash back to complete stock.
DO NOT INSTALL ANY NEW APPS for a couple of days. If issue persists, it's either the battery or the hardware.
I have the same issue I don't think its a one off either my problem started when my phone gets to 15% battery then just randomly rebooted now its stuck like in a boot loop I've tried everything to get it back I was running stock rooted d855

Boot Loop - Will not stay on Download mode - Will not reset

I bought my phone here in Singapore from Singtel when the phone first dropped so its a 815 SEA model.
Updated to marshmallow some time ago and everything seemed fine.
I have no idea what happened a few days ago after bringing my phone out of my pocket, it would not turn on anymore.
Now here is the issues.
1. Phone will go to reset mode to do a hard reset then you go through the prompts, it goes to little android guy following over with his guts hanging out and then it dies
2. I turn the phone on normally, it gets to LG, Life is Good then does and restarts a few times then dies
3. Went to download mode and that stays on for 15 seconds or so then dies and sometimes will go back to LG Life is Good and then dies
I downloaded the drivers for the phone, it seems to pick it up since the computer makes the noise that it is picking it up but LG Bridge and LG UP do not recognize the device.
No idea what to do at this point.
Thank you for any help.
Any luck?

LG G3 having kernel crashes and playing weird sounds.

Hi all, my G3 was working fine up until yesterday where the phone turned its self off. I tried rebooting but I got stuck in the LG Logo (Not the animated logo). It would then turn its self off and would do the same thing again if I tried to turn it on. I then thought it could be a battery issues so I turned it off and put it on charge. Fast forward today and it worked fine for about 20 mins but then it starts playing a high pitch sound through the speaker and the system froze. After unplugging the battery I tried to reboot it again but it didn't work and got stuck at the LG logo again. I tried rebooting again and it had a kernel crash. I am on CloudyG3 2.4 and have Twrp recovery.
If this were to happen to me, I think that I would try flashing a different kernel using twrp.

Boots to logo animation, freezes & the speaker makes a harsh hiss for .5 sec then off

Boots to logo animation, freezes & the speaker makes a harsh hiss for .5 sec then off
Hi guys,
I've had no problems with my LG G3 since I got it.
I'm running stock 4.2.2 Kitkat, unlocked, bought from a retail store in Sydney (JB HiFi).
No rooting or anything else done to it.
My battery hasn't had any issues, still easily lasts the whole day.
The issue:
Today I pressed send on an SMS, the system froze for a few seconds, then powered off.
Pressing the power button did not turn it back on, so I pulled and replaced the battery and powered it on.
It starts booting, gets to the LG animation screen, it animation continues for a while, then freezes for a second and makes a loud/harsh hiss from the speaker for .5 sec then powers off.
Every time after it powers off I have to pull and replace the battery before I can power it back up
No water contact etc
What I've tried:
I've pulled the battery and left it out for 1/2 hour, then replaced the battery and powered it on, same issue dureing boot up
I've confirmed my battery is fully charged, and have tried powering it on while on battery
Removed the Micro SD card and tried to boot again, same boot issue
I've tried a factory reset, it starts to do the reset and then the same issue during boot up happens
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Update
So further to my original post:
After I left it off for about 5 hours I powered it back on and was able to complete the factory reset and boot into the Android OS and start using it again, after about 20 mins it froze up again and powered off
I took it to a phone repair shop and they advised they didn't think there was anything wrong with the hardware but was likely a LG OS software issue
Oh, and I should have posted 4.4.2 for the OS, not 4.2.2. Is Kitkat.
I'm wondering if I were to use LG software to update the OS to Android 5 if that might help? Or may make things worse...?
Upgrade didn't complete
So I tried to run the update through the LG software.
Got about 50% through and then the phone powered off again.
Subsequent retries don't even get that far, they get to about 2% and then the phone powers off.
Surely this is a hardware issue?
Ok, well, I've put it in for service...
