I've used the start a run feature directly and now I'm trying to locate the history of the run and where i had run previously. I have no idea how to do so. Any help guys?
Nobody?
If you're using Google My Tracks then you can find your run data in Google My Tracks app on your phone.

Hello,
I recently installed the newest rom on my phone, and it is fantastic, however I'm having an issue installing the google music app (so I can stream from the google servers).
I keep getting the error
"Package file was not signed correctly. Uninstall the previous copy of the app and try again."
I don't have any other versions of google music in the application list in settings, or titanium backup. I also checked the /system/app folder and the google app isn't there from what I can tell.
I tried manually removing the "music" app (which was musicplayer.apk) but that didn't help either.
I've cleared all market data.
Did anyone else have this issue or know a solution? This is a must have app for me, and I really like this fast rom and want to keep it.
Thanks,
Austin
I think the really amazing thing would be to see the Google Music app actually work correctly on our phones in the first place.
I've tried it, on several different roms, and it always has the same problem.
I use it strictly for my local mp3 collection. I set it to shuffle, let it play, turn off the screen (or let it time out, whatever works), and after that song plays, the player stops. If I turn the screen on again, it starts playing the next song, but this is far from correct behavior.
So, I don't know if there's an app that will let you play your Google cloud-based music that isn't the official Music app, but if there is, I'd use that instead.
Sorry, that's just my two cents. I know it's not really helpful.
You might check to see if there is an associated .so file in /system/lib, but that starts to get into dangerous territory.
Hmm... I've got the same rom on my phone and it's working fine. Have you tried finding an apk and installing directly from it? Might be something else going on.

I actually just backed everything with titanium backup then wiped everything then reinstalled and I have the app now. I think the app was originally there just not in the applications list. I didn't see it in the apps folder when I looked with root explorer. Thanks for the replies though.
Apologies if this is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it around!
I've updated my Nexus to JB and all is well. I've never really used the music app, but in preparation for my Nexus 7 arriving, I've done the "hack" to allow Google Music access from the UK - it's currently uploading my music as I type.
On my device though, I can't see it. The help says I should be prompted for which account to use, but this doesn't seem to happen. I've also checked under "Accounts and Sync" for my google account, and all looks happy (except no option for music is even listed).
Can anyone advise what I need to do to get it working?
Actually, I managed to use the hack too, but still have the same problem. I think you answered to yourself. It's a hack..so it's suppose maybe not to be fully operational.
I've been using Google Music in the UK more or less since it lauched & it works perfectly fine for me.
Under settings in the Music App does it list a Google Play Account? (Should be at the very top)
I'm using Google Music for a few month now as well and had a similar problem.
Try clearing the cache of the Music App. At least that solved the problem for me that a few albums where not showing on my phone.
download Titanium backup. go to your apps defrost Google music
Thanks everyone, I did a "clear data" and it's showing stuff now
Just joined to find out if anyone else is having a similar problem...?
I've created a second user account on my nexus 7.. Set up was all okay. But when trying to use apps installed via the play store the screen become unresponsive...
I can use stock apps, ie. YouTube but apps such as Twitter don't allow me to input anything at all..
I'm setting up a tablet for a disabled person who has music stored on the sdcard and will not have wifi access. I'm using Big Launcher because it is easier for disabled people.
So I created a shortcut to Google Play Music for her but it opens at the app's home screen. Is there a way for GPM to open instead directly to the play list? I can't find a setting to do that.
Is there another app I could use that will with one click display the stored mp3 music - and preferably not permit deleting by accident?
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

The Play Music question requires an Xposed module. This one.
I need you to elaborate on the second question. Isn't Play Music doing this already?
Thank you very much for replying. This is an unrooted device because a rooted device would increase the risk of accidental problems. So I don't think I can use xposed modules. The person has cerebral palsy and is mentally disabled. So I am keeping things real simple.
As for the second question, if you mean avoiding accidentally deleting something on the disk, I don't know. I don't use my tablet to listen to music and am not familiar with GPM. I could not find such a setting if it is there. The tablet will only be used to listen to prerecorded mp3 music and play simple games. If will not be wifi connected.

You might try looking for a different media player. I'm not aware of any in particular that would be good for a disabled individual. But there may be some better-suited options that a Google search might turn up.
On the rooting topic, you could root it, and set SuperSU to default deny. Just a thought. While leaving the bootloader locked.
Hi folks, I'm looking to potentially buy a Sony Smartwatch 3, and my goal is to go for a run where I use Runkeeper and play Google Play Music on the device at the same time, while not having my phone on me. Has anyone tried this? Is this possible with the Sony Smartwatch 3?
Thanks..
Exactly what I do. Well I use ghostracer but you will be able to do exactly what you're saying. I love it. So nice not having to run with my phone anymore.

and how did you select which music you put on the watch, because I only see the option to synch, but I can't select what to download. I want to download only a "running" playlist
hey just unwrapped my SW3 today and joined XDA.
Im currently going through the motions of getting music onto my SW3 for this purpose.
My findings so far are this. there two options.
1. Download and install the Sony walkman APK availabe on Xda...dont have link handy. This was super flakey all day for me today on my HTC one M8 converted to GPE running 5.1. but it now seems to be working and i am currently syncing my first album to SW3. this is taking its sweet time to be honest.
2. Using google play music. Now this isnt as easy as one would hope or imagine. It relies on all your music (personal stuff downloaded from where ever and stored on phone) to be uploaded to Google Play (room for 50000 songs) from a computer.
So today i have been doing this (getting payed at work mind you), copying all music to the computer from phone, then uploading to the google play servers.
Then once all music is uploaded you need to then create a playlist on the google play chrome app with the music you want on your wear. then go into the google play music app on phone, go to settings and hit refresh. this should then show the playlist you created with cloud stored music. Once your in that playlist on your phone, you should see an option to download it. Do so.
Then go to settings again on the phone and enable download to android wear option.
this should technically auto download only this playlist to your SW3...but im yet to test it cause it literally takes forever to upload the music from computer to google play. SW3 needs to be atleast 70% battery first.
Obviously, the walkman route is the much simpler option here. But only readily available to those with a Sony Xperia phone which runs the Walkman app natively.
Hopefully there is some kind of update coming with easier Wear music management.

The method Nedmo illustrates is correct. When you choose the option to sync to Android Wear all of the music you download to your phone will be sync'd to your wear device. I have 2 playlists - Running Pop and Running Rock, because I pin them to be downloaded to my phone and because I chose the option to sync to Wear, both playlists are on my SW3. When I run I simply play or shuffle either of the playlists. I agree I wish there was a way to choose to only sync some of my downloaded music to the Wear device, but its easy enough anyways and there's plenty of room.
I use "Wear Media" in Play store, sync and transfer, least hassle.
The way Wear handles Google Play Music is pretty brutal. I've got almost 50GB of music on my phone (SD card) and no possible way to pick and choose what gets pushed to my SW3. I have to listen to whatever is on my watch at the time when I'm running. It seems like it'll just overwrite oldest upload with newest when you grab more music.
