There is a Wechat Watch icon on my Zenwatch but when I press it, it only shows "Welcome to Wechat". Does anyone know what it is for and how to use it?

Searched for Wechat I the Play store and it's a messaging and video chat app. You must have it installed on your phone (whether you know it or not).

I'm already a Wechat user and have no problem receiving notifications and replying messages on my Zenwatch. Just wonder what this app is for?

Tried the voice command today and know what it is now, after saying ok google>wechat watch, it shows promotion for wechat and notification, e.g. Apple Watch now supports Wechat!!

How can i tell if someone has read my message or opened it to read?
Pretty sure carriers only support delivery reports. Not read reports.
You'll just have to assume she read it if its been delivered.
Facebook messenger tells you when something has been seen, it's very stalker friendly. I kid.

I saw a pop up on my phone said message was read but not sure u can tell if your not looking at your phone
You can tell if they reply. Haha, If they use vzw messenger also it will tell you if they're typing, not sure on read
With the Verizon app you can, as said, check the option to received delivery reports, but that will not do any good unless the receiver has the option checked to reply to request receipts.
As far as I know only 3rd party apps like BB messenger whatsapp, etc have this ability

Surefire way is to not use the stock or VZW messaging app and download Handcent from the play store. Tons of options and read receipts are one of them. Been using it for years.
If both users have this app I believe the feature is there.
So my HTC 10 works fine though I have noticed on Blinkfeed that I can't add Facebook and when looking to get the Facebook plugin, it doesn't show on a search in the play store. When I google it, I get a link to the play store page which then says it is not compatible with my device? I don't understand... can anyone help me here?

Thanks a lot, this was one of my annoyances.
I've tried installing the plugin by downloading it from elsewhere and I get a message saying it couldn't install and to just click done.
It annoyed the hell out of me too! I also installed the calendar and calculator widgets from my m9.

After restoring my phone I'm no longer able to smart reply from the notification shade with google messenger, tried clearing app data and I am on the latest version with material design and still no luck. Any ideas?
And you have the setting turned on right?

I have the exact same issue but it didn't occur after a reset. It just stopped working once Android messages started to keep the message thread active in the notification shade. So now I can send and receive multiple responses to the same thread in the shade, but I cannot send a quick reply from there or the lock screen anymore.
I have been missing or reading messages way to late because my phone doesnt wake its screen for a notification of messenger. It does wake for other apps like snapchat and others.
Is there a setting that I have missed? Cause I have been digging through all the settings.
My honor 7x is running EMUI 8.0.0.336.

There is an option in either display or notifications part of the settings app where it will allow your phone to turn on for notifications.
In het notification settings for Messenger I have all the bells and whistles enabled, I don't see anything particular in the display part and I also know that Snapchat does wake up the screen.
Here is a screenshot of the notification settings for Messenger, sorry for the dutch language!

Hi,
I am used to use the Orange phone application for calls because of interesting feature such local call identifier, spam or sale center identification ....
Fact is that as soon as you change the default application for calls on Nubia Red Magic 6 (ROM is last 3.27), when a call arrive, you get the pop up but no music.
Whatever you try to use an integrated music, any else added to the phone, there is no sound. As soon as Nubia phone app is back default, it works.
HAve you experience such issue and know how a workaround ?
Thanks for your answer.
I am currently use Announce caller as my ringtone in settings. That’s the only way I can hear when my phone rings using Google phone at.
@slimdaddycmf, thanks for your feedback but what do you mean by "Announce caller" ? is that an app (if so can you link ?) or a setting.
@fredlamour , launch Google phone app, go to settings in the app and at the bottom you will see caller ID announcement.

Sorry for not being a help, but does it still vibrate? Or there is absolutely nothing except the call pop-up?
For me there is nothing (no sound/vibration). Only that popup and screen that wake up.
I have tested the option with announce call id but it is as short as the name of the caller is. So for me it is limited.
