That would be best fitted for Gen Questions and Help section, Not this section,
But to answer your question, If you know what your doing, It can be done, But because you asked the question,
I know you have no clue how. So please dont attempt it, or you will end up bricking your phone................
And when I said it can be done, Thats with modifying a few of the files and changing the ramdisk.. But as I said,
Dont try it.

Do you mean flashing D855 firmware? I'm not sure; the hardware might be too different.

Nope.
Usually AT&T ROMs are the ones to work on Rogers device but as a general rule, don't flash anything that doesn't say works on your variant (D852 in this case).
Just FYI for others still wondering, at the moment from what I've tested, Cloudy G3 works with the Rogers D852 model (and should on all Canadian models), and AndroidNow v1.6 (NOT v1.7, you will end up in a soft brick in fastboot mode, MAKE A NANDROID ON AN OTG USB OR EXTERNAL SD!) will flash and boot properly but in call sound does *NOT* work. I've read there are workarounds but I haven't actually read the solution (if anyone can chime in here, please do).
Other than that, Venom and Dark Wulf / Android Now 1.7 will all soft brick the device.
If anyone is still following this thread but has not seen this yet here is a link to another thread that has a list of roms that work with the D852..

[Q] Flash a LS990 with a D855 T-Mobile rom

Hi guys,
In a pickle here and need to "convert" a LS990 to a D855 for carrier compatibility. Can this be done? Hopefully without any carrier customizations...
Thanks!

You need to SIM unlock it. Look in the Sprint G3 General thread, plently of things referring to this. Hope I helped
Sent from my LG-ls990 using XDA Free mobile app
Thanks. Tried some of the sim unlock methods with varied success here in Tokyo. We only got one CDMA carrier here. Since the hardware is the same I thought I'll just flash the D855 rom and pay the $5 for the sim unlock without wrestling with it much. Would that work or would I end up with a brick?
succumbtothegreater: Are you in Tokyo? Did you manage to unlock the LS990 successfully? My attempt to flash it with a D855 rom was short lived
I'd like to know if this is possible as well, I've not been able to find out much information on if the LS990 actually has the same hardware and thus would be able to use AWS-1 bands after an unlock/flash.
Magixxx : Check my other post on how to nlocl the LS990 for any cdma network. Not sure whether it would work for gsm but maybe worth the try?

[Q] Flash D855 KDZ on the D851?

Please excuse my noob question.
Also, I realize it says this:
Q11: Can I convert one model to another (example: D852 to D855)?
NO! Do not try to do that.

Considering the T-Mobile G3 (D851) and the International G3 (D855) supposedly have the same chipset (Qualcomm MSM8975AC Snapdragon 801), could I theoretically flash the stock KDZ files for the D855 on the D851? Considering I'm probably going to receive no as the answer, why? Basically, what specifically are the differences that prevent the above from being successful?
Last but not least, if the above isn't possible, how could one port a STOCK rom from the D855 to the D851?

The difference in the way the bootloader works and how the system does the security checks is the reason why

You wouldnt and noone would help you because its a waste of time
I appreciate the response, however, the second part of the answer was very opinionated. I can decide for myself what a waste of time is. I'm looking for an answer that will point me in the right direction. I want to start developing custom ROMs/Kernels, but I would like to gain some knowledge about porting first.

Lg g3 d858hk roms

Hello, I have the LG G3 D858HK, I need to know if i can put a rom of D85x in my D858HK. Please help me.
I've just gotten my D858HK a few days ago, but from what I can tell, the answer is "no". I didn't clearly understand why, but something's different and not compatible with standard D85x roms.
Thank you, its so bad
