Try another rom like cm11...might help....and by the way its the best rom for fame out there.
Even a new launcher like Apex launcher helps a little bit.

Hi,
Like the title says, every time I open an app from the Play Store (in this case, Beat Hazard), my whole S III slows down in a way where animations are slow, and everything lags. The problem goes away after about 2 minutes of sleep mode.
My phone is rooted and has AOKP_d2att_jb_mr1_build-2 flashed on it, but before this, I had LiquidSmooth and was experiencing the same problems. Everything was fine until I flashed ROMs onto it.
Thank you if anyone can help.

Two things you can try: change your governor/scheduler to more performant ones. Lock frequencies (if kernel allows it).

Thank you so much, it worked like a charm, and I was able to change the governor back without the problem rising again. I guess it just needed a little nudge.
Hi,
I had recently flashed aokp 4.3 nightly version released on 28-09-2013. I moved from AOSP 4.3. But what happens when my phone doesn't connects with internet (wifi or data) it works like charm. No lag, no force closes, nothing.
But as soon as it connects with internet it starts lagging. Force closes all apps which i open. I tried franco kernel nighly build 391 and increased CPU frequency also but all in vain.
Just for reference i had installed Paranoid gapps for 4.3 (i think it doesn't make any difference) and recovery twrp latest.
Anyone know what this issue is all about. Is it normal and something which can be solved
Please help.
Thank You

From what I read it should have worked. I'm not a hater but Franco always gives me trouble, have you tried packed AOKP kernel? Its pretty sweet! I had used CM gapps but when switching to the second nightly I reinstalled with AOKP gapps.
Had to answer this when I seen ya call it AOPK lol ( edit: might have been seeing things)

Ahh thanks for the AOPK mistake
Ok, i tried AOKP kernel with AOKP gapps. Now its working fine without any force closes
Can you tell me one more thing. Sometimes what happens my phone suddenly gets restart if the phone gets heavy processing, now when it restarts it just stuck at "Google" logo and not comes to AOKP starting screen. I have to start the phone in recovery and clear cache and dalvik and then it starts normally that to if i put it a side for 10 minutes or so (by detaching the battery from phone)..
Can you know whats the problem is all about.... Ahh yes my phone is giving hell lots of problem
Thank Again

If its restarting once in a while (does to me also with heavy use on stock kernel) try downloading trickstermod and see if you can change the limit %.
If you can't with stock kernel I know you can with Franco.
If that doesn't fix the problem it could even be the latest AOKP nightlies giving you an issue, I know the second last nightly (Oct 6th not Oct 10th) was causing me all kinds of issues. I just downloaded the latest (10th) and so far it seems to be going well with no restarts but I haven't gamed.
I got a question for you if applicable, do you use Google play music at all?
I keep getting songs randomly pausing or play music force closes with no notice (no toast pop up or nothing)

fast charge
could you please add fast charge patch as well? Charging is a pain on the s4 mini compared to my Nexus 5 with fast charging...
Please, USB OTG!!!!
Good results so far
I installed this kernel this morning and it seems to behave well. Battery is a bit better than stock Kitkat with disabled unused stock apps and energysaving on. I did my regular visits of Facebook, Whatsapp, emailaccounts, Firefox, take pictures, played Asphalt 7 (with energysaving disabled) etc. etc. I'm on 35% battery left right now. Phone is smooth, no lag, apps respond quickly. This one is here to stay.
I love brisk v4 but usb otg dont work . Please can you fix this
My phone restart to mutch whit this kernel
Movies from camera don't play smoothly. They all play influently. On the stock soft they play correctly.

Confirm the random rebooting. Install the v.4 kernel 4 days ago. During this time there were 2 rebootes. Both times outdoors, when the smart was connected to the LTE network. At other times device is working fine. Big thank to author. Device is S4 mini LTE (I9195).

Wait, what? It's rebooting only when connected to LTE?

I apologize for the bad english.
It looks so. When the device is connected to the home WiFi point - everything works fine. If you leave the house, and do not turn off the WiFi in the smartphone, it may cause a reboot. If you turn off WiFi on the device - a reboot will not happen outside. Outdoor there is T-mobile LTE network, but probably it is not the reason..

Bad english? Where? I have seen worse english.
Thanks for reporting!
I don't have LTE for my SIM available, so I never had a chance to try it.
Maybe I can try it in the next few days.
Hi, i have flashed this kernel and it is confirmed on settings > about... but is there supposed to be somewhere i can edit/tweak the kernel. Govenors, frequency etc?
Thanks
The battery life seems normal, my phone is fixed (@ 94% after 18 hours mostly on standby). Thank you TheBootloader!
P.S.: (< than 10 posts... I'm sorry about posting on the Q&A, but I had no choice since I wasn't able to do it on the other thread).
Brisk v4
Hello,
does OTG now working (in v4)?
Thanks for information!

BLN
Any updates on BLN on Kitkat?
Nope, OTG and BLN still not working and probably never will. I just dont have enough experience to fix any of this.
Tried using latest build of kernel on a clean scStock COC2 install but had a couple of random reboots on calls. Stock kernel at the moment and not suffering reboots.
Hi, i have note 2 n7100 running stock rom UAE with superSU and twrp 2.8.7.. My phone has been freezing a lot if I just start it normally.. the phone only has sound for 5 minutes and then it starts to freeze and i can no longer play any audio files.. My solution to this was to play the music player before it reaches 5 minutes mark and it will run smoothly.. Is there any solution to this? From my readings, I think i have SDS phone with insane chip.. I tried to flash perseus kernel but i failed(screen went blank.. have to restore from backup again).. i tried to use custom rom as well but all custom rom stucked at boot screen.. Is there anything I can do to use my phone normall?
Its not SDS, SDS victims' phones only have a white static when turned on and is pretty much bricked. Yours still runs somehow. I dont know what's exactly wrong with yours though. Have you tried using Clean Master? Large amounts of junk makes alot of lag. Too much and weird stuff starts to happen. Also there may be a problem with your sound chip.

Thank you for your reply.. finally someone replied to this post.. i am using a freshly installed rom.. so there should be no problem with large amount of junks.. can i change this sound chip? Is it possible? I tried using the phone with a running music player and for 11 hours it went rly great.. as soon as i stop playing any audio files.. heavy lag and constant freezing will occur.. i searched for audio problems in the forum and none was similar like mine.. huhu
Is your ROM Cyanogenmod based? If yes it is a problem with HWC, which the devs is working on right now and there is not much you can do about it for now...
Hello,
at first sorry for my bad english. I already looked for help at the Google Nexus 5x-Forum. I could not be helped and I should contact this forum. Here is the initially question:
Hello,
I have a Nexus 5x. The device works fine, but I have enormous performance-problems. It seems that the device ist always in Doze / Deep-Sleep-Mode with the CPU (the device is so slow, that a tap on the keyboard lasts about 3 seconds). Even a reboot or clearing cache does not change anything.
Sometimes, when I insert the power supply, the device works fine but only for the time I'am using the phone. If the phone goes in deep sleep, the problem starts again.
Interesting, a new ROM also does not have an effect. I tried the stock rom 8.1.0, 7.1.2 und Lineage 14.1 and 15.1 even another kernel.
Does someone have an advice?
