Hi, I deleted this two apks from my system. Now I'm in job hundreds kilometers from home and can't download anything. Could anyone help me and upload this two files from TouchWiz 5.0.2 on Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive? Please, it's very important for me.
A word to the wise NEVER delete a system app without making a backup first.
Lesson learned.
You could always flash the official Rom again, if you have it? That will return system to stock.
Thread cleaned.
Play nice and don't play at all.

Okay my phone was refreshed and I had to reinstall all my apps. I can't see google talk in the app marketplace. I also can't find it on appbrain.
I searched around for a while to try to figure out what was going on, but can't find much other information about it.
I doubt the app was pulled or i would have probably heard of it.
Can i get a QR code or link to the appstore or an APK or appbrain?
I wish I knew as well. I ended up reflashing my rom to get it back...
OP.... what you need to do is download a rom and extract it.
go into the folder " sytem" then "apps"
get the talk.apk our and either adb install it or put it on your SD card and use root explorer to move it to the system/apps folder on your phone.
Hope this helps
hmmm why would I need to do this? was it pulled from the android marketplace for some reason? i'm just curious, i'm pretty sure I had to load it on my phone before from the marketplace.
i probably will just end up using another messaging client, because I don't really want to go through all that for an app I don't use very much.
in any case thanks for the advice, i'm glad to hear i'm not the only one who can't find it..
It has been included in every ROM I've installed. Maybe find it in the gapps pack for Cyanogen?
I'm not even rooted... i'm not using a custom rom.. i'm just using the stock sprint issued evo.
I was having issues with the phone and they restored it to factory defaults which made me lose my apps. The last time i rooted was the intial unrevoked (which later was lost with an OTA update)
No idea what to tell you then. Talk is part of the Google apps that are included with the phone. Most every ROM I have installed includes it. Cyanogen doesn't include a lot of these because they aren't allowed to be distributed by third parties and their team is good about sticking within the rules.
If something screwed up you should just factory reset the phone if you only want stock. Better yet, do a proper root and install whatever app you want
http://cyanogenmod-mirror.local.host.name/gapps/gapps-hdpi-20101025-signed.zip. Must be rooted to flash obviously. Do not know if this zip will work with Sense ROMs. It contains all Google apps (Market, Talk, Google Voice, etc.) Good luck. Not guaranteed that this will work. Use at own risk. Do a backup first.

ah i see my problem, i am an idiot. google talk IS preinstalled on the phone. i kept thinking i had to install it, couldnt find it in the market and gave up. i didn't even think to look in the app list on the phone....
that said, yea its about time that i did a proper root. ill have to read up a bit to be sure its easy enough- i have all the OTA updates, and htne ill go for it.
thanks for the replies!
I recently started experimenting with newer gingerbread ROMS, which seem to work fine, but I can't see any of my previously purchased / downloaded apps in the market!
This is a big problem for me... how do I get to my old apps??
I'm sure I'm logged in with the right user account, and this happens on every single ROM out there.
What's the solution here?!? I need the apps I bought back!
help
come on guys, I need some help here.. I already tried installing 6 different roms,
Kings, Myn, Fresh, SNS and more... none of them show me my apps!
How can I get all my paid apps back??
Not sure but you should of used titanium backup.
relayed from my CM7 powered Mytouch 4g! Go Steelers!!
Yes, hindsight is always 20/20.. how about trusting Google to remember which apps I bought?
I've changed roms numerous times and the list of purchased apps are always present when I initiate the Market app. Have you actually signed in with your Google credentials? Have you made a nandroid backup of a previous setup? If so, restore the backup and your apps should be restored, at least the ones that were backed up. If you haven't, then a lesson has been learneand I mean that respectfully. The next time you get your EVO setup how you want, the first thing you should do is go into recovery and create a nandroid backup and the second thing you should do is maneuver to the /data/app/ folder and copy all of your 3rd party .apk files and place them on a folder on your computer or external drive. Update the .apk files accordingly.

So I'm an idiot and uninstalled google play on my device because I was having problems with it and thought uninstalling and reinstalling would solve it. Wrong! I've since hard rest my device and back to factory, unsure if still rooted and having trouble finding the exact method I used. The first I know was with odin and still have the files for. The second was very quick and very easy and so long ago that I'm not sure if I bookmarked. Any way so here's my question how do I just get to start all over. I only backed up the important things and don't care if I have do things the long way at this point. I want google play back on my phone and when I reset it it didn't come up. I tried looking around a bit but having trouble finding exactly what I need. Any help or pointing in to the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
You could always Odin .tar restore it to factory and have everything (including internal) wiped, or you could just download the Gapps. Package for your device and extract the play store apk from it and push it to system.

Thank you

Kiddo is finally knocked so I'm able to have a moment to do this. I downloaded the Gapp for 4.1.2. I'm unsure which is the apk for the google play store. This is a list of apps that are on there. Unsure if it is the Google services framework or another one. Thanks again for any help.

I think it is phonesky.apk. If that doesn't work, you could just push them all and update the ones in the play store later that got downgraded.

The way I Do it is to extract out the apks. into a folder on my SD card. Name it like "Gapps" or something easy to remember. After that use a file explorer and give it root permissions. Copy all the apps and go to >System and paste them. There are other ways of doing it. You could just install every single app or there is adb codes. Use whichever is easiest for you.

If it's just the playstore u want...it's. phonesky.apk. I would use something like root browser to move to system/app and then change permission to rw-r-r. After that reboot ur phone and you should have the playstore again! You can do the same with what whiplash had suggested to move all of them. Just make sure u reboot after pushing.

THANK YOU!!!
Was finally able to get the Play store back! I took the phonesky.apk and stuck it into a folder on my sd card. I kept just dropping it into system and that wouldn't work and I reread the two comments and then stuck the apk into system/apps. Rebooted and all set. Thank you both I have been lost without my phone the last few days.
Almost fixed
So now that I have the Google Play store back it only works for a short period of time till I get a 491 error while attempting to download or update anything. I force stop, clear cache and restart device but this seems to only be a bandaid as after about five minutes I get the error again. I also tried editing the account info as well. Is there a permanent fix? Thank you.

Hey guys, I have been a regular reader of your forums now for a few months. I am still learning so forgive me if I come off as lazy and unwilling to learn, or flat out dumb.
I sometimes get bored and search the web for ways to improve my tablet. I started by rooting and getting custom recovery, xposed, and various root apps just trying to improve performance or learn a bit more. Recently I had come across a list of which system apps are safe to remove. I backed up system apk and odex files and started deleting. My SD card was taken by my sister and she wiped it so she could put music on it. I don't have any real issues with how my tablet is running, but I can no longer open the Memo app without it crashing immediately. From what I have read, I believe my Touchwiz was deleted (if that is possible?) I did also delete my Prepaid installer.apk
Basically, I want to know if what I said makes sense to why Memo keeps crashing; is there perhaps a way to just download any system apps and put their respective APK's back to the system/app folder (or perhaps all I need is the Prepaid installer.apk?);and a little off topic, but how do I make the device status to Official rather than custom and should I even bother with anything OTA for updates.
Thanks for listening to a novice try to bs his way through new tech lingo and sorry if I spoke incorrectly, posted in the wrong section, or any other number of rookie mistakes I may have committed. Xda forums are an absolute goldmine though! Keep up all the great everyone, I hope to become a more active member in the future.

This is a theoretically long work around, since I was going to give it to you only to realise I no longer have it either xD.......I suppose if you can get a hold of a new sd card, look into Titanium Backup, its a pretty useful app but it requires root permissions. Then if you can find the stock rom for your tab, there should be one somewhere in the development forums for 7", you can flash the stock and root again and install titanium, then backup the memo app to the sd card. Then restore your previous ROM state and install titanium again, switch the folder options to the path where the backup is on the sd card and restore it to that ROM.
As for TouchWiz...I think that's the OS GUI so it's most likely still there if you're using the tab. Not too sure about the prepaid ap though, but if it came with the stock then the above process should work as well.
Hello, this is my first post so don't judge me if I did something wrong!
So, my problem is, that I deleted the Email system-app on my S4 Mini with CM 13. I just wanted to ask if somebody would do me the favor to upload the apk of the Email app, because as soon as I uninstalled it, my Music app stopped working.
If somebody found a link where I can download the Email app, then please comment it or upload your apk on DropBox or some other thing you can upload it on and send me the link. FYI the apk is located in system/app/email if I remember right and remember: IT MUST BE CYANOGENMOD 13!

I've uploaded email.apk and exchange2.apk from cm-13.0-20161221-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO3Y6-serranoltexx.zip.
It doesn't seem right that removing the email app should affect the music app though. Did you remove anything else? The other thing you should try is just booting into recovery and flash the CM13 rom without wiping anything, then rebooting to system. This will leave your data untouched but restore all system apps. If you have uninstalled other system apps, you would have to uninstall them again.
Before you try any of the above, just try clearing the data and cache of the music app in settings > apps and see if that fixes the issue....
I did everything you have said, but it didn't work.
Well I'll just install another music app from the Play Store or install a backup that I made.
Thanks for the help anyways, at least my CyanogenMod is now updated to the latest release! :victory:
