[Q] Dual SIM Problem

Hello! I don't know if I'm the only one, but I have this problem. I use the first sim slot for data and the second sim form voice and messaging. From time to time (and I never know when it's happening), the data on the first sim stops working. It is on, but on the status bar I can't see anymore the "H" or "3g" icon, and the internet is not working. The single way to solve this is by rebooting or turning on and off the airplane mode. Also, the second sim goes on some sort if stand-by. That means when people call me, I don't get the call, and when I try to call, I can't (the fixes are the same as for the first sim). Also, I never know when this is happening. I know have CM11 (updated) but I've encountered this problem with all the ROMs. Even the official one. Is it a hardware or software problem? Does anybody have any idea how to fix this? Thank you in advance!

have you test using 1 sim only on 1st sim slot for data and voice call?
AFAIK 2nd sim slot only can use 2G, and 1st sim slot can use 3g or 3G

Yes, I tried using only 1 sim and there is no problem. The problem appears only when I'm using both sims. But what is good for a dual sim phone if I can't use it, right? That's one of the reasons I bought the phone.

are both sim from same provider? have you try dual sim with different provider?

No, the sims are not for the same provider. (One is Orange and the other is Digi). And as I said. Using any of them single doesn't cause any problem. But when I put them together in my phone, the problems start.

I thought I was the only one. This problem does exist on this phone! I experience it a lot on first sim. Net keeps going out a lot and I have to turn net off and on several times before it comes back. Using airtel and vodafone. I also think the phone goes out of coverage a lot cause after i started using this phone, people suddenly started sayign that am out of coverage

And there I was, thinking that it was a hardware problem.. I started noticing this recently when all my friends started saying that i am 'Not reachable' ( On Airtel network :silly: )
Data issue is something we can keep aside, but not able to receive calls and place calls .. ??? Now that's a bummer..!! What's funny is that this issue occurs only if you use two SIMs.. On Single sim it works good. I have been trying to get a work around for this (Other than rebooting and airplane mode) .. Anybody has any input on this ??

I don't have an issue making/receiving calls on both sims on the old miui or custom roms. But I don't keep the data modem on all the time.

Are you sure that your network coverage includes at least 2 available bands in the 2g-3g range?

I'm not sure about this, if you use cm11 maybe you can enable "Tuneaway" and set the "Priority Subscription" to sim1 or sim2 in the sim card settings..

[Q] If sim1 is on 3g sim1 is offline

Hi guys, i noticed this big issue using my phone.
If i enable 3g for sim1, sim2 is completely offline (it can't recive or do calls).
If 3g is disabled, both sims work well simultaneously.
As you can undertand in daily use outdoor is a big problem.
Test done in MIUI v37, v45 and v47, Carbon rom, Mooke and CM11.
Have you the same problem? Do you know how to fix it?

I have the same problem. It's not your phone or the ROM you are using. It's just that the sims are not full active. The best solutions are:
- Don't use two sims ( I gave up. I have two phones now. Too many missed calls)
- Redirect the calls from a sim to the other(and viceversa)

Hi, I don't know why, but after I wrote this acting on sim settings I found a correct way to receive calls with sim2. Probably just luck in these hours but for now it works! I'll attach a screenshot to show you exactly what I did. Let me know if work also for you, in order to help some other users... [emoji3]

[Q] How to fix Network issue in Mokee release ROM in Redmi 1s

Dear Friends,
Since last 5 days I am using Mokee Release Rom in my redmi 1s,
Before two days i am facing network issue in my sim 2 (in sim 2 not using net).
So what is the best solution for it ? can any one guide me properly.
I tried uninstall rom and again install rom

While i wals on mokee i didnt faced any prob. ...please tell more specifically about your problem..(like low call volume, no signal, no internet bla bla)

I found an issue read narration below.
Sim 1 - (gsm-wcdma) - Using internet
Sim 2 - gsm - Not using net.
When i proffered Gsm - Wcdma network in sim 1 then Facing Network issue, But when i proffered only Gsm in Sim 1 then not facing any issue of network.
so anyone tell me what's going wrong.

try to flash TheBeast kernel,before you do that you should wipr Cache and divlik then flash a Kernel_Compatibility_Patch_Updated package

Have you checked your sim performance in other cell phone? You said network issue so first sort this question if your sim can support 3g in your area(to be precise room) since I used Vodafone and I had issues with 3g but 2g worked fine. I later realised that Vodafone had poor 3g reception in my room.
Check your fone with other sim card which has good coverage in your area.

JIO 4G on Nokia X

Hi guys, I was wodering if we could get Jio 4g (its free) sim working on our normandy...I dont want 4g speed... I am asking if I just get the 4g signals on nokia x (connect to 4g network)
I have read some articles to add lte bands like

i guess it wont support because our hardware is not coompatible

today i checked jio sim by myself in nokia x, stock rom(not worked), lewa os (didn't worked) & finally with lovi os (still same not worked)

yes even i checked with many stock, miui, pac, cm...but our phone dont aupport those lte band...
if we could also add lte bands,,, maybe we could atleast connect to network

could you just follow the following procedure please
enter *#*#4636#*#*
phone information (in stock rom select sim 1)
select lte band you want
shut down
insert jio sim
power on
wait & get result

lewa os added support for cdma band in latest version, but what if it should have added lte band support rather than cdma

you need hardware to get 4g signal. i dont think any software update can make it to work.

just insert jio sim and go to the testing - phone information see the signal strength you will see the signal is receiving

I can't see it clearly but video showed Vodafone in notification panel...I think it's fake
anyways, jio worst network is not worth trying, even worse than 2g...airtel is much better and cheaper nowadays

Network problem - drop of signal on 3g network

Hi, i have a problem with my mi6 and network provider T mobile from Croatia. When i hit call button on 3g network i have a drop of signal and cant make a call or recive one. On 2g network everthing works fine. I tried with other network providers and mi6 works like a charm. Something is beetwin mi6 and t mobile provider. I tried to change sim, try all roms (china, global, eu rom) and allways the same.
Today i tried to put sim card in new mi mix 2 and phone is working with my sim and can make a call on 3g.
Do you have any solution?
Can i install mi mix2 rom on mi 6, or modem driver?

me too. i used the mi5 and mi6 and same problem. i use 2 sim cards. when the first sim is in 2g or 4g never had problems. when i put sim card in 3g, i have problems about once a day with missed calls , no network (ccant make phone calls or receive calls).
i changed the sim card changed roms, and still nothing. its drivingg me crazy. i like xiaomi but these are serious problems.
im in global version miui 9. I live in europe. it happened wiith miui 8 also in xiaomi mi5.
Anyone have suggestions how to resolve this please?
