[MOD][App][TouchWiz][secMms.apk] Samsung sms JB v2 (Enhanced Spam list+Other mods)

I was facing a problem. I received several unwanted messages from my carrier docomo, ads etc. So I went to register the number as spam in stock messaging app but I couldn't saying invalid number. The numbers contained alphabets. I tried replacement apps like GOsms and handcent . They did the job but returned to stock as it was simple and linked to lock screen and all.
Being a xda member i modded the secMms.apk to even block numbers containing alphabets
v2 :Now you can type in the alpha numeric contacts
Tested on BUG ROM v5.1 NOTE 2 MINI I9100 (deodexed)
But will work on any jb rom (deodexed/odexed)
Other features in v2 (all thanks to jovy23 for his awesome guide )
1. ENABLE THE SCREEN ON/OFF TOGGLE for notification
2.ADDED THE VIBRATION
3.SIGNATURE OPTIONS
4.GROUP MESSAGING
5.SAVE/RESTORE
6.SCHEDULED MESSAGING
7.SMS 1000/UNLIMITED RECIPIENT LIMIT(haven't tested )
8. Exact sent time of received messages, not the moment when you actually received it on your phone
9. DISABLE THE SMS TO MMS AUTO-CONVERSION(not tested please report back)
10. SPLIT-VIEW MODE ON/OFF TOGGLE
INSTRUCTIONS
1.download and extract secMms.apk
2.Rename system/app/secMms.apk to like secMms.apkold(backup)
2.1 Also rename system/app/secMms.odex to like secMms.odexold (only for stock roms/odexed )
4. Place extracted secMms.apk to system/app (check permissions for executable )
3.reboot phone and enjoy ​​

instructions
1.download and extract secMms.apk

Note :To register a number as spam long press the thread or go to specific thread and press menu key and register

Sure in next version it's easy as it is already done
Anyways next version will contain better tweaks in spam list like ability to block numbers starting/containing/ending with alphanumeric

Do you know if this would be compatible with CyangoenMod, or does it still need TouchWiz as a base?

stock apks uses some pngs in framework.apk, so this will not be compatible with cm

Thanks Guys. That's what I thought but wasn't 100%.
I really like the look of the TouchWiz Messaging & Dialer apps, but I don't want TouchWiz taking up resources in the background on my GS3 if I switch to Cyanogen.

Ohhh maaaan.....i will test it later and report...seems to me its a stock sms bomb app

Tested on a Galaxy S2 4.1.2 (stock ROM XXMS2) FRENCH, and after reboot only "9. DISABLE THE SMS TO MMS AUTO-CONVERSION" works.
No new menu (scheduled messages, About...), no "8. Exact sent time of received messages, not the moment when you actually received it on your phone"...
Maybe 'cause I'm using a french stock ROM ?
I'm going back to the original SecMms.apk
EDIT : Actually, JB doesn' t convert SMS to MMS after 3 SMS ! So, unfortunately, your mod doesn't work at all with my phone :crying:

One thing is your rom is stock and i have been testing on deodexed .
I think u r still using your stock sms app
Did u notice "android is upgrading "after reboot after installing at preload/symlink/system/app (just before loading all apps)

OK, it's working ! Here is what I've done :
I use a root file explorer, browse to /system/app and rename:

[Q] Miui v5 phone call quality question

I have read through the thread and know there is a call quality issue with this rom , I also downloaded the fix , my problem is every time I try to install the phone.apk file it starts to install it them stops and gives me a red x and says it wasn't installed . Is there a fix for the call quality issue that works ?

You dont install like a normal apk,you have to move it to your system app folder and then click properties then fix the proper permissions how they look on the other apps :thumbup: reboot and good to go

Thanks so much , I'll give that a try . I'm back on CM 10.1 for now .i do like miui V5 for the customization and battery life but I use my phone like a phone and make frequent calls all day .

Have to find the apk and the correct libs from the old rom and then put them into your currently installed rom. Not sure if will work, but I am also interested.
What firmware version did you have before?
Edit 1: Simply pushing the apk to system/app with 644 does not work, app does not show up in appdrawer.
Edit 2: Pushed to priv-app also, now showed up in drawer and stereo recording works.
You need root for this and a filemanager with root rights, copy the apk to system/app and system/priv-app and set permissions to 644.

i dont remember last version, i do these but now when i open voice recorder i just see a black page with their button,i record with it but after finishing it closed and i found that still it record in mono.
what should i do????

Not sure if it will matter, but you should indicate what version phone and what software version the original apk is from.

Ok. Same as me. Slide left screen for setting. Choose root explorer,grant su.. Choose again root explorer and select mount read/write.. tick rw for all and try mod again.. wainting your feedback.

Go to setting, power saving and untick battery icon.

Hello,
It didn't work. My phone stopped working, and I wasn't even able to reboot the device. I was getting the message 'Unfortunately, systemUI has stopped working' I had to reinstall my rom again. Relived everything's back to normal again.
It could be that my phone is the Exnoys variant?

Hi there, I was search about the SHealth but for S10 Plus I didn't find any of thread related to the app instead one patched version. Yesterday I somewhere read the tutorial once I had S7 Edge to change build.prop text i.e ro.config.tima = 1 to ro.config.tima = 0 and it works without any issues or updating app. Just sharing with you nothing else. All credits goes to the original creator and I am just sharing it only. Just use the editor to edit file like root explorer or something like. Or use BuildProp Editor for this.

Well yeah, this change to build.prop is only needed for those running stock rom rooted, as most (if not all) custom roms already have this tweak and many others.

Just make a magisk module for it, very simple, it persists with updates.
