SLIMSABER - JFLTEHello! i'am happy to present my build for S4 with Snapdragon (JFLTE).
I am not a developer, and i have to learn how to make it work. The goal of this build SlimSaber, built from SlimLP source with Uber Toolchain, is to make the ROM even faster and smoother.
Huge thanks to : Fusionjack (for slimsaber source), Kantjer, AntaresOne, Alucard, Synergy510, Ezio, aow1980, Freak_97, letmedanz, Ralph and all other i missed!
This ROM is build from SlimLP source with Uber Toolchain for rom and kernel (alucard and stock) to make the ROM even faster and smoother!

F.A.Q (Freaking Annoying Questions)
Chamber of Secrets
In my opinion, this is the most powerful Slim feature ever implemented. However this is a dangerous feature which is hidden by default.
How to enable it:
Go to Development Settings - Scroll to the bottom - Tap the empty area
How to use it:
Go to your home screen
Add a widget and choose Slim Shortcuts
Since it is a type of shortcut, you can use it somewhere else, e.g. in Nova launcher's gesture.
Click Chamber of Secrets
Go to https://github.com/SlimSaber/frameworks_base/blob/lp5.1/core/java/android/provider/Settings.java and pick one of settings name
There are two types of settings: A switch setting and a value-based setting
If you are unsure about the setting type, don't use this setting because which value that will be used is matter. You could end up with continuous FC or even a full wipe.
Example for switch setting: show_alarm_icon
Enter the setting name "show_alarm_icon"
Answer Switch question to "yes"
Example for value-based setting: statusbar_clock_style
Enter the setting name "statusbar_clock_style"
Answer Switch question to "no"
Enter the possible value: "0,1,2"
If you aren't sure about the values, don't use this setting
Another use case to use CoS: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61557183&postcount=11092
Two quick questions. Has bluetooth share been tested? And, is it f2fs compatible? Congrats on the release!
Just to report a noticiable degradation on WiFi (both 2 and 5 frequencies) on 5.1.1 (build from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60333705&postcount=8893).
Signal drop, connection is not made...
Tested on 5 WiFi networks. It was a day "without" a stable connection wherever I went.
Clean flash.

For the f2fs, i'am not sure. i've seen some comit about this but i didn't test it for the moment.

Are you experiencing sound lag? If that's the case it's universal issue on lollipop. Not just custom ROMs but also stock lollipop on nexus devices.

Everything's OK here. YouTube works as usual. Only stock SMS app doesn't work.
Battery madly good. I'have installed this alpha build about midnight. ROM works insanely smooth.
Thanks!

29/04/2015
sync with last source (26 to 29/04)
qcom harware updated
interface added to center clock, sho date...
and other things...
i had an issus while flashing this build without full wipe.
you can try and said here if it work fine for you. think i had issus because i was trying to insert alucard and it corrupt my build, or if it's because i didn't flashed last gapps, i don't know.
i've tryed for f2fs but rom doesn't boot...
will be fix i think because i see slim dev working on it.
cya!
So... It's with alucard's or stock kernel?
Btw, try this gapps package:

I have been sharing my CM7/CM9/CM10/CM10.1/CM10.2-based builds for some time in several thread, which culminated in the MackayROM. I continue now with KK4.4 from where I was for JB4.3. MackayROM is based on CyanogenMod sources, with several performance enhancements.
About Cyanogen: CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
If you run into errors, I may not be able to solve it!
If you know a solution to a problem, either upload it yourself to Gerrit Code Review or contact me through pm.
The ROM is based on Cyanogen sources with the following changes:
-Mackay Kernel:
-Set of cherries picked from gerrit (differing by the day)
-Some additional patches I did myself to the source code
Feature request are OK, but remember:
1. I try to stay close to stock
2. I will not include additional apps, unless they can be build from source
3. The time I spend on features depends on how much I like them myself
Although it is possible to enable ART, this is not advisable:
-Takes long to convert from Dalvik to ART on first boot
-Needs more RAM
-Can cause soft reboots
But off course, YMMV -> light users may have better luck
Changelog of 4.9.14 - 5-Nov-2014
-CM11.0 codebase of 3-Nov-2014
-TWRP updated to 2.8.1.0
Full changelog of 4.9.14 compared to stock CM11.0:
CM11.0 sources of 3-Nov-2014
Mackay kernel:
Separate kernel thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2532813
TWRP (2.8.1.0):
-Themed orange
-Run recovery-apps (zip files should be present in /system/mackay, launch them through advanced->run app)
Removed apps:
-VideoEditor & demo VideoFiles
vendor/cm:
-Adapt for custom MackayROM building (bootanimation, ROM&file name)
-Custom bootanimation (Thanks to Malcho)
vendor/samsung:
-Added scripts for Mackay Settings
hardware/samsung:
-F4k 720p patch for bigmem kernels
AriesParts (“Mackay Settings” in Settings menu):
Add mackay kernel settings options:
>WiFi PM mode selection
>BLX settings
>BLN activation
>Navbar selection
>Low RAM mode selection
For other projects (frameworks/base & Settings, check my github for the latest patches)
Coming from stock Samsung ROM/CM7:
-The safest way is to flash CM9 first and then flash Mackay ROM. Going directly from Samsung ROM/CM7 to Mackay ROM may lead to loosing IMEI.
Fresh install:
Can be flashed on top of any CyanogenMod build:
-Do a factory reset
-Flash ROM
-Flash gapps
-Reboot your phone
Update:
-Flash ROM
-Reboot your phone
(no wipes or other things needed, just flash & reboot)
-Custom kernels can be used only if specific for KK4.4
Credits:
-teamhacksung/pawitp for making CyanogenMod work on our ancient phone
-stratosk/DerTeufel/Mialwe for the inspiration I got from their kernels
-rootax for providing a high-speed server for high quality downloads
-Malcho for his kernel splash & bootanimation

Download link on XDA fileserver has been restored. Download link on rootaxbox will take quite a bit more time, needs a full re-upload & uploadspeed is very slow ATM.

I always build these ROMs myself from CM sources + my own additions to CM sources, so no need for "official" CM11 builds to enable my own ROMs to be build.

Yes, in principle every gapps KK4.4 package should work. However, I only tested the package which I linked in OP.

Thanks for KK rom :good: :good:
OP's link to Gapps contains five different builds- some with ART compatibility. Is there a preferred one? ART works/tested, or better stick to delvik for a little while?
A few things I noticed:
- If I select Performance settings from Mackay app, Settings force closes.
- Orientation tile is buggy, sometimes it seems to work, sometimes not.
The ROM is very snappy, thank you very much for your work!
Kasper_h installed this rom and I have a bug. When I want to enable high-speed data connections settings crashes me the error: com.android.systemui and closing forces. Framework to overloads.
Thanks for the rom, There isnt any bug list?
Installed on CM11 and works fine.No forced closure and fast enough to be a test.
so no separate kernel 0.600

Hello kofe!
thx for encouragement!
The build was made with the last source i can had before the slim gerrit server crashed. last source were merged on 21-02-2015.
for the future, i will make another build like kantjer did, based on last slim source.
when a official slim weekly will came, you will have the build made with UBER toolchain.
At the start developpement, i wanted to use sabermod, but after some discution with slim builder, i choose UBER Toolchain.
And that release work really fine!
You finally did it , bravo

You are confusing this rom, which is an unofficial build with the official one posted a few days ago. My build was posted just an hour ago. None of those bugs are present in my build: There is CM themer, there is power menu including advanced boot and there is a working TWRP in boot image.
Sorry, it is from another team. My fault

Replacing resurrection remixed? What's the difference between 2? If this is superset of RR I'll switch over

Not replacing anything. RR is well supported. Tesla is a different rom. It has support for Slimrom's layers as well as many other features. I like it more than RR, but for you the only way to find out is to try it...

OK so I'll go to Tesla and use encryption similar to RR.
Is that correct?

why on ROM information says: "5.1.x lollipop"? would you make some port for E970? Thanks in advance!
Nice. Very nice @kenvinjoa sir! Will try when its more stable.
Amazing you made what appears to be a pretty stable build and are optimising already. Thank you so much Kevinjoa, you are brilliant dev and generous person. The LGOG community would be lost without you.

I have installed it on my E970 and it's up and running. Will report any issues tomorrow.
@Kevinjoa seems browser fc while downloading is due to lack of storage permission. giving the permission to browser via App permission setting fixes the problem.
If you use jolla-TWRP or other recovery, you should fix update script to flash normally.

Hmm, I've seen this in logcat but for apps permissions only play services are shown to me.
edit: wrong place, need to look in apps and then browser and permissions, activating write external storage permisison fixes it.

@Kevinjoa Can I upload your rom with fixed update-script?
And, I think you can delete abort parts from update-script for e975 recovery users.
