I'm pretty sure it's just a build.prop change. Find this line and change it. At least this is what is changed in Cloudy's LP Rom to get that feature working.
persist.splitwindow.support_all=false (change to true)

Main thing when messing with build.prop is to make sure that after you make changes, you have to make sure that permissions on build.prop are set for rw/r/r or 0644. I know that if the permissions for build.prop get changed to anything other than that, then it will cause bootloops.

this app will work, I tried it

For the deodexed ROMs just flash it from CWM or replace DialerTabActivity.apk and Phone.apk with root explorer or similar app at system/app
For the odexed ROMs delete the system/app/Phone.odex and system/app/DialerTabActivity.odex with root explorer first and then flash it from CWM or replace DialerTabActivity.apk and Phone.apk with root explorer or similar app

Please install that fix ONLY if you are experiencing phone.apk FC during the call while screen is off and when the other side hangs.
On some devices that fix can bring to boot loops and any other malfunction.

Somehow I have managed to put G2 keyboard, from this link https://www.dropbox.com/sh/wwmv9ea0yy6xock/gRCUuhKvfu
Also had to change lib files (had some lib files from some zip) and edit rights to 644 to make it work. Untill that , whenever I restarted phone I would get keyboard not responding.
Basically, I have messed my keyboard files, and I did not want to flash rom from beginning, so I did it this way (probably not the right way)
Also had to edit build prop with
ime_extend_row_keyboard=true
ime_onehand_keyboard=true
ime_split_keyboard=true
ime_vibration_pattern=0:20
but had to set onehand to false because if it is set to true, it is always set for one hand operation (I could not change that option from the settings)

[MOD] Decreased Dialpad Vibro

Hi, I just wanna share with our community a little mod. May be someone have already noticed about too heavy vibration when you click on dialler buttons.
After applying this mod through CWM your dialpad vibration will be equal to navbar buttons vibration. So, vibration feedback will half decreased.
As for now I'll add only version for .retail.en.US rom (which is 4.4.3). If you have different ROM (region/android version) you can give a try with 443_1032_US_vibr.zip on your own risk (make backup of dialer.apk & .odex firsrt).
Or you can request this mod for your ROM by posting in this thread your files (dialer.apk & dialer.odex) and providing some info about ROM you're using (in case if somebody who have the same ROM want to test it).
Hi, i tried to copy this two files, but i cant see them with windows. I copied them in sdcard, but i dont know how can i get out from the phone because i didnt see them, pls help me, thanks
my phone has stock rom 210.12.40.falcon_umtsds.asiaretail.en.03 android 4.4.4. i changed the extension of dialer.odex because not works to upload.Thank you

The info I'm supposed to give you about my ROM. I don't know where to find it. Also, my Dialer apk in /system/priv-app doesn't have a .odex file anywhere near it. Anything i'm doing wrong in locating the files??

If you mean for permissions I recommend using ES,on that you just need to hold on a file and click Properties,Change Permissions and make sure the first row is fully ticked,and the second and third one,only the first option ticked,usually known as rw-r-r
If you mean for the other bootanimation file it should be where the original bootanimation is
