Recently I have noticed that when I load a watch face in watchmaker the date and any other text is missing. When I upload to Facer they work fine. Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

It's not a watchmaker issue...
Probably yo loaded a face made with Facer tool....
You need to search for watchmaker faces... they are not the same. You need to make some changes to make Facer faces work with watchfacer and vice-versa

I don't know if I'm correct in this, and I'm not sure I know everything there is to know about it, but I assume it's the .zips that aren't working for you? Look what's in it. If there are a few files like a preview.png, some .json files, maybe some font files, then extract that to a folder, and put that folder in /sdcard/Facer on your phone. So you folder structure will be /sdcard/Facer/[whateverfoldername]/[bunchoffiles]. Now look in Facer and see if it sees it. Hopefully, it does.
Again, I'm kinda new to this but apparently Facer used to do this .zip method for faces, then they went to .face files which allowed the import method you use in the app.
Pretty sure it's just a bug in Facer. I have had it fail to properly update many times.

It generally always works in the end, sometimes I have to transfer the face multiple times. And sometimes the watch app crashes. I've had a black screen before but eventually always get the face to display.

I bought the WatchMaker to load some nice faces of found at badapp.fr
My problem is, that no matter how I import them to the app, my thumbs are all messed up. Some appear double with different names, some no matter
how many times I import and delete and re-import, use thumb from another watch face.
I tried clearing the app's data, re-installing, restarting device, with no luck.
Anyone face such problem before ?

I found a little lame work around that issue, but at least I finally managed to get the faces and names right.
I open the Face and duplicate it. It will automatically name it with suffix _COPY. I did it to every face. Then I delete the
original ones and once done with all, I renamed all the COPY back to their initial names. Now they all work well.

Long ago, before WatchMaker, I associated Facer with .face files. I'd like to change that association to WatchMaker, but I can't figure out how. I did a Clear Defaults on Facer (and WatchMaker, and Inbox, and Google, and...), which is cleared, but Facer still insists on being the app to open .face files, even after rebooting my phone. Suggestions?

I'm pretty sure watchmaker only sees .watch extensions. Facer reads .face extensions.
You have to load them manually im pretty sure

I would like to edit one of the faces as I saw one guy on the forum did. I couldn't get to him for details how he did it.

I have a huawei watch with a custom watchface installed. Since it took hours to create it today I tried to backup it from the watchmaker app. It appears that the watch face is not present anymore in the app. Is there a way to backup or extract the face from the smartwatch itself?
