[Q] can i merge aboot.img to compiled kernel ?

SOLVED
----------
hey
i compiled stock kk kernel and after search in xda found "bump" method and now i can put bump'd boot.img to a flashable zip and flash it via custom recovery.(without bump method got security verfication failed at boot logo).
but after flash the kernel ,phone shows "fastboot mode started" .then have to restore boot from recovery to start phone normally.
i think my kernel doesnt work good with bootloader( doesnt have "aboot.img")
can i merge aboot.img to boot.img? or fix this issue while flashing the kernel?

solved : just follow compile instruction supplied by LGe and use proper bump tool

SuperSu doesn`t remember permmissions since MM update

So I just updated my phone to MM, I`m using v1.6.5 of the Skydragon rom with the latest EX kernel, and SuperSu has stopped working correctly. I have to continuously grant permission to every app that needs it, SuperSu never remembers, even when changing the default setting to Grant it changes back the next time I open the app. If anyone has any ideas that would really help me out, thanks.
Which version SuperSU that you installed when running ElementalX kernel ? Is SuperSU detect the kernel as systemless mode or system mode ?
I don't use ElementalX so not sure whether it needs supolicy patch or not but I guess SuperSU 2.65 or 2.66 should work find with this kernel

Using v2.52 of SuperSu, sorry not sure how to check whether it's systemless or system mode, would you recommend updating su and can you give me a link please?, thanks.
2.52 is for system mode and need a patched kernel. ElementalX is not patched for 2.52 (if I'm not wrong).
What you can try is 2.65 or 2.66 - download here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64161125&postcount=3
This will detect automatically whether your installed kernel is suit for system mode or system less mode.

TWRP question #2

What is this warning on the TWRP site regarding the S6:
This device uses dm-verity!
This means that swiping to allow system modifications will prevent you from being able to boot if you are using the stock kernel. In order to bypass dm-verity's boot prevention, you will have to install a kernel that has dm-verity disabled in the fstab.
And how does one install the above mentioned kernel without a custom recovery like TWRP?

No clue what this means, but i flashed over CPL3 the latest TWRP and it boots fine using stock kernel.
I just have the fingerprint issue... waiting for @amieldl143 to post latest bigdaddyrom build and am flashing that over CPL3 via TWRP.

How to Install RenderZenith Kernel Properly?

How do I install RenderZenith Kernel, or any basically any kernel? Do I need to boot into the Stock ROM first before flashing the kernel?
Or can I install the Kernel right after installing the Stock ROM without leaving TWRP, or rebooting.
Also, I managed to install RenderZenith with OxygenOS 5.1.5, but Wi-Fi didn't work, and there were stutters in the UI. So how do I install it properly?
some notes I give you
first of all any kernel now has two types
treble
and non treble
if you are on firmware 5.1.4 or above you need and must use the treble version
so in your case you need to download the treble version
another note the kernel is located in boot parttion (boot.img)
it can be flashed with root while the system has started or in recovery
my advice to you download RenderZenith v3.5 treble version along with magisk v16
do not try the beta (may be the cause of your wifi issue)
install both from recovery ,wipe caches(dalvil),then reboot
RZ is great for OOS you will get better smoothness with same battery life or better depending on the apps you use

Latest kernel with forceencrypt and dm-verity disabled

Hi
I am in no way a developer and I am not responsible for any damage caused to your device.
I have made some changes to the latest kernel from 43.0.A.7.99, this is from the UK-EE firmware but should work on all firmwares for the G3311. I am unable to test on any other model, so try at your own risk.
The kernel has forceencrypt and dm-verity disabled. Forceencrypt will encrypt your data partition on boot, so formatting in TWRP is pointless as the default kernel encrypts it again. dm-verity stops part of the system partition being written to, so things like init.d cannot be enabled. these are both now possible with this kernel. The kernel is NOT patched with Magisk, so this will need to be patched in the same way as when you first rooted.
