Guys i need some help. I've been trying to find the right ruu for my one x. my cid is 621 and my ruu is 2.17.751.2. I cant find any ruu that is the same with my version so that i can get back to stock and receive ota jb update. I also tried using the ruu 2.17.707.3 but it gives error when i run it not compatible. Is there any alternate ruu or links that you can provide me so i can go back to stock? Thank you
Can anyone upload the stock recovery for 2.17.707.3 because I wanna go back to stock room and get the JB OTA. I know it's tiring ans wast of time but I find it the safest way for me

Hi DeboNZ are you able to get JB OTA? I had flash the recovery attached here but I still couldn't flash the OTA (OTA is already available), at recovery mode, it running for a while then at 10%+ it show an error image (phone with exclamation mark).
Do I miss something? I didn't relock it since

You can update the phone with a unlocked bootloader, the rest has to be stock.
Stock rom
Stock kernel
Stock recovery
Did u remove some system apps or made changes to the system ?
That could also cause a problem !

I do delete some system apps come with One X Asia (like singtel app etc), but does that really stop the OTA from working??
Beside this I had downloaded
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.17.707.3_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_278245_signed.exe
but this don't work for me too
my version-main: 2.17.707.3
Baseband: 2.1204.135.20

That could be the problem, and do you have a branded phone or not ? What CID do you have ? the versions match but is it the right one for your CID ?
The ruu did not work because
A : you have a branded phone and need a different ruu
B : you didn't RELOCK the bootloader before running the ruu

CID = HTC__044
and yes I didn't relock yet, perhaps I should try that? or any more alternative?
I only root it with SuperSU, so I assume i'm on
stock rom, basically I need to flash the stock kernel will do? (stock recovery done previously)
To run the RUU, you need only to relock the bootloader, put your device in fastboot mode and run the RUU. That's it, not necessary to flash back stock boot and recovery images.
I can RUU successfully, but now I couldn't get JB OTA, it keep saying Update is corrupted. Follow some recommended from other thread saying do a master reset but doesn't help. Anyone have better idea?

thanks to this thread, I successfully upgraded my unlocked and rooted one X to latest Jelly Bean over OTA update !!!!
just needed the stock recovery for 2.17.707.3 , and rootkeeper did the trick

Sorry if I post a noob question , but since we are all waiting for sense 5, I ' m thinking about restoring stock, in order to get an official update from HTC (I hope it will come soon), so my question is:
if my firmware version was never updated past 3.14.401.31 and I can't find any nandroid backup of this version with stock recovery , will I be able to flash stock odexed rom 3.20.401.1 from mike1986 with stock boot and recovery and get the official updates, or will I have to run the RUU from 3.14.401.31 and do all the OTAs ?
Run the 3.14.401.31 RUU to get back to stock and then ota with official updates !

Ok so i have run into some troubles with my rooted One X and want to flash Ruu and start all over again.
But i cant seem to find my baseband in the RUU section here.. and a little confused as which one to download.
My baseband shows 5.1204.167.31 and im rooted with the stock 4.2.2 sense 5.0 , software number 4.18.401.2
i am located in Norway so i guess its one of the Europe Ruu's.
Edit: do i get the stock recovery as well when doing a Ruu?
There is no RUU for android 4.2.2. HTC will never release one either. Better look for a nandroid back up.

Hi! My M9 is rooted, i didnt backup the unrooted rom and now the situation looks like this : rooted m9 with s-on, stock rom 2.10.401.1 .. im also with twrp recovery.. so my question is how can i flash the ota update and how?
I am also on the same boat. Please suggest best possible way to receive OTA
Depends if which cid you are on . If wwe you can flash from 2.10.401.1 to 2.10.401.8. Then from 2.10.401.8 to the latest firmware. After that flash twrp.
