Hi everyone,
I´ve upgraded to Android Lollipop on my 816w yesterday and I´m very dissapointed. After installation complete the phone is working correctly, but I´ve got problem with Google Play Store. Google Play Services repeatedly require Google Play Store update, but when Play Store opens, checking for a few seconds and then crashed. I´ve deleted my account, data of Google Play Store and Google Play Services - not working. Uninstall Google Play Store and install latest version (v5.4.12) - still not working. I sometimes got a message that Google Play Store crashed even when Google Play Store is uninstalled .... has anyone some idea how to fix it please ?
I have tried installing previous versions of google play services as well as google play store apk files and none have worked. It was working fine until a few days ago. My kindle is rooted with bin4ry. Any ideas how to get out working again?
Get a new Fire TV rooted and running great. However, couldn't get the Google Play store working as described here: http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-install-the-google-play-store-on-the-amazon-fire-tv/
Is there a newer method or set of apks I should be using?
I extracted the Google APKs from a working rooted Fire TV and sideloaded them on the new Fire TV. Everything worked in the beginning. I was able to log in and it even began to try to update SuperSU. However, it froze up. It wouldn't work after that I suspect because it upgraded the google framework to the new version that doesn't work. I got around it by uninstalling the Google Framework app and the play store worked again. I used an Xposed Module to allow apps that need the framework to run without it.

I have a similar issue with my FTV. Google play keeps updating, and causes it to stop working. Are you saying you used these apks to make it work again?
Can you please provide the steps you took to make it work again?

If Google Play quits as soon as it's run, uninstall all Google Play modules and use the APKs I posted above.
If you already have Google Play installed, but it only works if Google Play Services is removed (and you need Google Play Services for certain apps) and are rooted:
Install the Xposed Framework if you don't already have it installed.
Remove Google Play Services.
Download, install, and enable the Xposed Framework module called "This App Will Run Without Google Play Services" here: http://repo.xposed.info/module/xeed.xposed.dngmod

Hello, I have a rooted Nexus 7 2013 rooted and running Cyanogenmod. I don't use it super often, so recently I went to update from CM11 to CM12 using the update that it provided. I didn't sideload or flash anything. The update went smoothly and worked as it should, but now I get a couple errors that I am not sure how to get rid of. They are related. One is a notification that says "Update Google Play Services, Google Play Services won't run unless you update Google Play Services." and the other is if I try to open the Play Store, it just tries to load for a few seconds and then brings up a message that says Unfortunately Google Play Services has stopped.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Hello, I have a nexus 7 2013 with the good ol ghost touch screen issues. Various hardware fixes did not help. Anyway, I read some had this problem after 5.01 update. So, I used nexus root tool to downgrade to 4.4.3 version. I keep getting errors Google play has stopped. I have cleared cache and data in Google play store, service's and framework. Didn't not help. Removing account and reinstalling doesn't help. Some say to uninstall google play store and google play services but i see no option for that in settings. Tried NRT kit to install google play store apk. Installed es file manager. When i try and run the APK, i get read errors from es file manager or app not installed error. If i try and download APK directly, i get errors No SD Card. I tried to do an adb sideload and it fails. Does anyone have an idea on how i can get around this and manually install google play apk or just fix the google play has stopped error? I would love to be able to load my apps via google play. Ive been banging my head for days searching for help and tried dozens of so called fixes. Please help if you can. Thank you!
