I have been searching high and low and can't seem to find any websites that allow you to put in a custom resolution and has a variety of content. Any ideas or thoughts?

Hi,
i realized that if i use a picture as wallpaper its quality is worse than the original quality. It seems that windows compresses the pictures. Is there a way to avoid it or do my pictures have the wrong format. I tried png and jpeg. Thanks...
don't lie now, but just curious if you searched before you made this thread?
Little search gave me all the answers i needed for that question.
this is a known problem, the WP size gows down to 512X512 so that the HD could run with no problems on it, HTC said higher resolution will make the TF3D go slower...
unfortunately, no solution yet from HTC or XDA cuz 3D drivers are needed from HTC.
Hi all.
As most of you know, the shutter speed and framerate of the Desire camera is pretty lame.
So I was looking and playing around with the camera and media_profile.xml file and etc etc etc and came across the ISO settings in the camera. So I changed the settings from auto to 800 and whoa, there is some huge framerate improvement. I have yet to see any quality loss in the image, but the images are much improved.
Could someone else confirm this?
My specs are:
LeeDroid 1.9A, 8GB Class 2 SD (with Ext3 partition and A2SD+), and ofc HTC Desire.
Btw, you can only change the ISO in the 'camera/picture' mode, but it also changes the setting for the video mode.
thank you.

this is the wrong sub forum to post this, and there are already two threads discussing this, laying around. Please use the search button.
EDIT: try searching 720p iso
I did do a quick search, and nothing relevant came up. Sorry.
Hi,
I noticed this same thing with myself. When you put ISO 800 you really can use video recording at night! But now I have a problem. With custom roms ISO 800 makes no difference to ISO 400. I have tested several roms and several radios. I downgraded my phone as I had to get warranty back and tested the stock camera with ISO 800, it didn't work But I don't rember was it stock 2.1 version or updated 2.2.
I have also seached all over the web and xda, but no one seems to know anything about ISO 800 :/
So if anyone knows the answer how can I have workin ISO 800 on my phone, I would appreciate that
I love the amazing SAMOLED of my Galaxy S but I'm very disappointed with Android/Samsung stock imageviewers. (slow, very slow, ugly)
I really like the WP7 one, it is very nice.
Which Image Viewer do you recommend?
In terms of speed nothing beats the stock image viewer or you can try the modded image viewer ( you can search the forums for it ) it shows a very high resolution of the images OR you can try other apps like Just Image
I use now "QuickPic".
It is fast, works well and is able to hide folders from being scanned (e.g. Covers from mp3-folders).

For me personal, this is best one:

What's a good combination of settings for encoding movies for the GNex to get good resolution without stuttering or a very large file?
I could try experimenting with various settings, but figure this has been discussed extensively and I've failed to find a good answer by searching. Perhaps Handbrake's Android Mid or Android High settings?
EDIT: Handbrake's Android Mid setting resulted in the wrong aspect ratio for the first encoding I tried (it can be set correctly manually). Here's a post with some suggestions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060825
Hi all, I recently picked up the 10.5 inch model of the tab s, and I think I may have a problem with my screen resolution.
I was looking for and downloading different HD wallpapers, when I noticed that none of them really fit the screen all that well or looked as good as they should with a screen like this. So I searched around different sites to find my screen resolution and every one of them said my screen was running a 1280x800 resolution. That's WAY below the advertised 2560x1600 resolution this screen should display. Naturally I was a bit concerned and couldn't really find anything related online, so I thought I'd come to you experts here and see what you make of it.
Any help or info you guys/gals could offer would be greatly appreciated!

I didn't take into account that they may be talking about dp. I suppose that makes a bit more sense. Not with the tablet right now so I can't check cpu-z, but when I have the chance, I'll definitely check it out and report back what I find. Thanks for the help, and quick reply!
Glad that I could help

So I checked cpu-z and it does confirm the 2560x1600 resolution. I guess I'm still a little confused though as to what resolution I should be downloading wallpapers at? Every site I go to says my resolution is 1280x800, even though they have 2560x1600 as an available option. Downloading both shows clear superiority in the 2560x1600 resolution, but the sites continually direct me to download the 1280x800 options.
Is this normal? And if not, what should I do?
I just usually download the biggest size... and crop it during choosing wallpaper...

That's what I've been doing. Is it normal though to suggest the 1280x800 resolution with the much better option is available?

I also usually do what edan does, either look for the correct resolution for the tab (2560x1600) or highest one available and crop/resize/stretch. No need to be confused with auto-detection, since it is a tablet and detection may not work correctly.

Yes it is, since your browser tells the website that you are using 1280x800 resolution.
For full resolution use this app (find it in live wallpaper):

I've used this app on my nexus 10 for a while. Best way to set your wallpaper for sure
I suggest you try going to interfacelift.com it's the best wallpaper site out there with natural taken shots from powerful cameras or edited digital ones and it automatically detects your resolution and sticks to it.
