[Q] Lollipop Lock Screen Notification Area - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've noticed the area of the lock screen the notifications show up in seems very limited. They get get grouped only about halfway down the screen. At that point you get the +1 and have to expand (swipe down) to see the rest. Given the size of the notification rows this only allows around 3 notifications on the lock screen before this happens. This is very annoying. I have noticed when I click on one the Swipe to Unlock message shows up and it whites out (50% transparent white overlay) the bottom half of the screen. This seems to indicate that this bottom half of the lock screen is dedicated to swipe to unlock. Does anyone know if there is anyway to change this so the notifications area can take up more of the screen?

The attachment says it all... this is a software screenshot, and when I dim the background in the clock, it gets blotchy on the top and bottom. At first I thought it was my screen, bc its such a wide spread issue with blotches/tints/etc. But after taking a screenshot, it has became clear its not my hardware.
Anyone elses like this/is this normal?

Attachment does not say it all at all. Because it's a blue and white question mark... =/
Although your screenshot link is broken, I think I know what you're talking about. It ONLY happens to me when I have a wallpaper that is very dark in some spots. So it seems as though when it dims, the LED's just darken all the way and you get "blotches" where there are black/more than black LED's next to each other.
But lets get this out of the way now, the screenshot isn't going to show the blotches because this is a screen "issue", not a software issue.

Are talking about the lock screen tinted effect? If so, I've just gotten the same problem today as well. Setting the lock type to anything other than swipe applies a dark overlay on my lock screen wallpaper.

Notifications on lock screen (or any app for that matter)

I cant seem to get any notifications on lock screen. Ive now set it up that it would make a sound, vibrate, activate the screen and light up the led indicator. But it wont show any previews on the lock screen itself.
Im used to being able to see the messages in the lock screen on my old nokia 6.1.
This is an example of what i want

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
but this is what I got
. cant post images apparently so thisll have to do.
My most important app is whatsapp.
I've given it all the permissions, enabled autostart, enabled show on lockscreen, set no restrictions on battery and still wont get any notifications on my lock screen.
Am I missing somthing or is there something wrong with the software?
Hope to find a solution or at least get confirmed that it is or isn't possible on this phone.

Let's try and clarify your issue. The behavior shown in the video appears normal. Are you saying swiping up doesn't roll up the notification shade?
when i swipe down my notification panel to see time or any other notification then it doesn't disappear until I restart my game ,like this

Question YouTube on notification tray goes away??

Hey guys,
On my previous phones the YouTube player would always stay on my notifications tray even when I closed all my apps, even though it says it's "pinned" it does not stay pinned under the toggles, once I close all my running apps it's disappears, but on other phones it didn't, I like when it stays pinned, any way of doing this??
Thanks

It's pinned, but once I clear my apps it disappears help lol it's just handy to have it there
If it's not playing it doesn't show up as an active notification, but you should see it if you fully open the quick toggles not just the notifications view (on the screen you posted, swipe down a second time).
The above answer seems correct in my case. If playing it is up top and viewable with one down swipe. If not playing it is there with two swipes if you have the media pinned toggle on.
