Wi-Fi is possessed on CyanogenMod 10

Wi-Fi turns on automatically and will only leave hspa connection active for a few minutes at a time. This has been going on for about 2 months and keeps getting worse.
I have tried all 3 sleep policies under advanced settings. I have tried switching Wi-Fi connection managers and utilities and have deleted them altogether as well. I have tried disabling location over Wi-Fi and mobile networks. I have reset Wi-Fi networks and disabled autoconnect when reconnecting.
There are a few other things I've also tried but basically I've tried everything I know short of clean installing-which I intend on doing when 10.1 goes stable.

It turns out that the issue was with Internet commander. The solution was disabling the option to start internet in standby under screen off settings. Unfortunately that entirely disables internet until about 5 seconds after I turn the screen back on but the alternative is to need 4 battery charges per day instead of 1 or 2.

Note 2. Wifi connection problem.

My wifi was working very well. One day suddenly it went off. Initially I thought it was a connection problem, but eventually I discovered that the wifi toggle switch refused to start. It was stuck.
In a bid to correct it I even did a factory reset. But wifi issue remained.
Did everything mentioned in various YouTube videos. But in vain.
Then I installed Cynogenmod but same wifi issue. So went back to 4.3 stock android.
Not satisfied, I flashed kitkat 4.4 . Most of time wifi connection remains. But when I turn it off and then again on. It does not connect.
The only way I can resolve d issue is by switching off the phone, removing the battery 4 a minute and restart. Wifi works until I keep it on. Once I turn it off and turn on back again, it does not connect.
(My router and Internet connection are fine)
Removing battery every time 2 start wifi is nuisance.
Pl advice.

Note 4 crashes when mobile data is enabled

Got a new Note 4 two days ago and I went to enable mobile data for the first time today and my phone almost immediately crashed and rebooted. This was an ongoing cycle until I managed to be quick enough to turn mobile data off after rebooting. Wifi works fine. With wifi AND mobile data turned on simultaneously it is fine. If I am not connected to wifi, or it is switched off and mobile data is on it crashes. I am on v5.0.1 (latest for my phone)
Any ideas? It seems like a software rather than hardware issue. I hope I don't have to try and get it fixed because it is a grey import
Okay so I did some more testing and I have been able to absolutely isolate it to the mobile data connection. Warranty it is I guess

Issue with WiFi battery drain

After updating to 5.1.1 it was working flawlessly for couple of Weekes and all of sudden my battery was draining and found out that my wifi is running on the background even though I have switch off the wifi, location, gps, and wifi advance setting for searching location with WiFi being off.
Ever since that whenever I switch on the wifi and switch off it is still running in the background until I reboot my device.
Is there anyway to fix this?

Tested today with my classmate's wifi hotspot: it works...
Did you try a factory reset after the update?
